Shameless!
Totally shameless!!
Extremely shameless!!!
This dirty tactic infuriated everyone present! They all wished they could lunge forward and tear these people apart but none dared to make a move without the death mages consent to avoid complicating the matter.
Thud!
Thud!!
Thud!!!
A clear path was created as Derik and the new Kalos walked forward slowly as if they had the whole time in the world. When Derik arrived he simply scanned the place and confirmed everyone was present before speaking lazily
"n.o.bles to the left… those to royal p.r.i.c.ks to the right… Gerald will handle the n.o.bles after he ascends the throne I'll kill of Robert and his little princess here and now, so keep your distance from them if you wish to live" Derik said while pushing his hair back with his palms, not caring that his father and sister were been used as hostages.
Hearing this, the n.o.bles quickly ran to the left while Robert and Anna remained rooted in her position with John and Linda in their firm grip and their weapons clinging close to their throats.
Was the death mage blind or what?
Did he not see his father and sister were in their hands?
Both Robert and Linda wore grim expressions as a thought crossed their minds. What if the death mage was not pretending?
What if he doesn't really care about these people?
How can he be so cold and ruthless at a time like this?
Hold can he care so little about the only family he has left?
Did the death magic really consume his mind and emotions, just like it did to Francis' sister?
Even though Robert has always been into scheming against his foes shamelessly and has never bothered to meet them head-on, he has always been careful and hard working in his work!
He knew that Derik's father and sister were the last of his family and he was extremely sure that all his relatives met unfortunate ends just like his mother so he really didn't Derik to react this way.
How can he be so heartless?
"Don't you dare mess with me kid! I'll take their life if you don't let us leave this place safely" Robert lost all his royal temperament and roared like a defeated lion. His eyes showed numerous hints of fear and anxiety as he waited for Derik to reply.
"Okay…" Derik said casually and began gathering his power for a powerful strike.
At this point, everyone as close as three hundred meters unconsciously backed away as Derik's death aura began building and stacking. His cold expression showed he would rather blow Robert and Anna to the underworld, rather than letting them escape for the sake of his family!
"I… I…. I dare you!... You are just bluffing, you can't do it!" Robert was terrified by what was happening and he instinctively took a step back. Meanwhile, Anna was rooted to the spot due to fear and didn't dare speak a word, in hopes that Derik will just forget her existence.
"Life magic: Protect!"
Cyrus' voice echoed in everyone's ears and a clear golden divine light surrounded John and Linda Angus, instantly repelling the blades placed at their throat!
"Cyrus, you dare betray me?!" Robert roared and quickly gathered his magic and took a deep breath in.
"His Voice path, he's trying to make use of his path, stop him!" Gerald screamed.
Booom!
Before Robert and Anna could act they felt their bodies get heavy and they instantly fell on their knees. They were obviously not ready for the surprise attack from Kuen!
"Kuen…" Robert stammered, utterly confused. Amongst all the members of his family, he knew any could betray him at any time, including the elder princess Anna. But never in his wildest dream did he think Kuen will directly act against him!
Unlike the other members of the family whom he showcased his true nature, he always pretended to be kind and loving around Kuen because of his potential as a cosmic spirit host and even showered him with gifts and precious materials to help quicken his cultivation all the time.
His image in front of Kuen was that of a loving father and a perfect king. In fact, in this kind of situation, he expected the kid to storm towards the death mage and all his enemies and risk his life in a battle just to create a chance for him to escape. He failed to understand how this kid changed and who was responsible for tarnishing his impeccable image in the eyes of this youth.
"KALOS!!!!!" a thought flashed through Robert's mind he finally realized the culprit. The only man who spent more time with his son and acted as his master for more than a decade!
That sly old man must have tarnished his image in his son's mind!
"Rot in h.e.l.l! Death magic: Pestilence!" Derik roared and his death aura around him began twirling and twisting, taking the form of tiny winged bugs.
Before the bugs made could reach, a galaxy of stars appeared above, creating a portal which forcibly pulled in John and Linda, reappearing where the other n.o.bles stood and dropping them there.
Under the death mages direction, they all rushed forward and soon swarmed over the suppressed Robert and Anna, entering their bodies through every hole in their body.
"The angel of death and I are real buddies… don't worry, you will receive special treatment in the underworld!" Derik grinned viciously!
Tears ran down the cheeks of Robert and Anna but they were unable to speak. Their bodies swelled up like a balloon, threatening to burst at any moment and their veins turned black, popping up at every part of their body.
No one needed to look twice before knowing that these people were suffering from incredible pain. They simply stole glances at the death mage and quickly averted their gaze to avoid eye contact, truly these guy is ruthless.
What even stunned them more was the spatial magic, the middle-aged silver-haired man cast. They were well aware of the necromancer path of the death mage and finally realized the ident.i.ty of this master.
Kalos!
This explained why the death mage relentlessly struggled with a cosmic spirit over his soul! The death mage just acquired a gold realm master as he undead slave!
How terrifying!
They simply watched in silence as the man they once called king died a painful and terrible death!
