Tearju entered the room with an uncharacteristic cheerful smile. Seeing her expression and squinted eyes, Rito raised an eyebrow because the dinner brought by her is hot and she isn't even looking at her footing properly.

After encountering two food-related accidents by Tearju's hands, he felt his confidence dwindling when he saw her bringing him food again.

But he was able to retain his fortune as she placed the tray on the nightstand without causing any more accidents.

She sat near him and looked at his face with gentle eyes. Since he was laying on his bed, her eye level was higher than his and he was able to stare at her b.r.e.a.s.t.s that were hugged tightly by the nurse outfit.

But he didn't dare to stare and immediately looked elsewhere as Tearju put her hands on his forehead.

"Are you fine now? If you want, I can still call for a doctor. Now, let me see if any marks are left."

She smiled and pulled away the blanket slowly.

Rito immediately started thinking about different ways to stop her from checking his abdomen.

"Ah, it's all fine. If I was really hurting, I would've told you, Tearju-san."

He scratched the back of his head and smiled.

Tearju looked at his smiling face for a while and then shook her head and leaned back on the chair for a moment. Rito did notice that her b.r.e.a.s.t.s jiggled as she moved suddenly.

"Rito-kun... I want to ask you something, if it is hard to answer, you don't have to tell me..."

Rito was surprised by her serious and tired expression and looked at her curiously.

"Yes, you can ask me anything you want!"

He replied immediately.

She hesitated and looked in Rito's eyes with her emerald green eyes and adjusted her gla.s.ses for a moment.

"Rito-kun... you... you are quirkless, right?"

She felt that she was invading Rito's privacy, but after her meeting with Mikan, she couldn't help but keep on thinking about it.

"Yes, I am born without a quirk."

Rito nodded.

He had already understood that this world still doesn't have the technology to accurately determine if the person is quirkless or not. He knew that he had a strange and almost 'useless' quirk, but he didn't feel repulsed by it at all.

Meanwhile, Tearju continued.

"What about your sister, Mikan-chan? Does she have a quirk?"

Rito frowned as he thought of the answer.

'Why is she asking about Mikan?'

Rito looked at Tearju for a while and fell silent. Even he wasn't sure if Mikan had a quirk or not. After all, she may also belong to the same type as him, whose quirk did not manifest externally.

He thought for a while and then nodded.

"Yes, the doctor that checked her condition declared that she is without a quirk."

Tearju felt sad when she heard it and also felt that she had accurately grasped Mikan's social life after looking at the mark she was trying to hide.

She took a deep breath and looked at Rito solemnly.

"If I told you that Mikan might be getting bullied in her school because of her status as 'quirkless', what would you do?"

She looked incredibly serious.

Rito frowned and looked at her.

"Are you saying that she is getting bullied in school?"

Tearju immediately turned fl.u.s.tered and felt that the script was changing. She wanted to gauge Rito's reaction but he did not even answer her question.

Before she could explain, Rito spoke out once again.

"In school life, getting bullied and bullying others is natural. But if the situation escalates, then I won't sit by even if Mikan doesn't say anything and I will try to help her as much as I can."

This time Tearju frowned at his words and looked like she was thinking something unpleasant.

"You are her brother, right? Why won't you help her immediately?"

Tearju came here with the original objective to gauge his reaction and if he does not act in an overly aggressive manner, then she will tell him about Mikan's situation. But now, she felt slightly unhappy with Rito's uncaring att.i.tude towards his own sister.

"In this world, a brittle metal won't be able live for long as it will be crushed. Instead, a tempered steel will be able to show its full glory and live a safe and secure life. Even if I help Mikan, she doesn't need to know about this."

He thought for a while and tried to clear his own complicated thinking and muttered.

"Every person has different ambitions and different goals. If I stick to Mikan, neither she will be able to attain her dreams as he will feel restrictive nor I will be able to live my life the way I want to. With that being said, I may not always be present in her life and she will grow up eventually. I can only help her from sidelines and not meddle with her path too much."

Tearju felt that something wasn't right. She had only asked about his reaction if he knew that she was being bullied in the present. Instead, he did not reply to her directly and only spoke about what he would be doing as a brother.

"Rito-kun, answer me honestly! What will you do if she is getting bullied in the school?"

Seeing that she did not buy his sentimental reasons as he tried to shift the conversation, Rito felt troubled and awkward.

He sighed lightly and scratched the back of his head.

"What can I do? If the bullies are kids of her age, I will try to contact their parents (h.e.l.l no, I will scare them after wearing a dangerous mask!) but, if someone older is bullying Mikan and trying to use his age as the factor to satisfy his own ego then I will report to police and also ask for a hero's help (Hah, I will cut his d.i.c.k and put it in his mouth, where it actually belongs!)."

Hearing Rito's words, Tearju felt satisfied and started telling him how she saw the blue bruise on her left cheek and how she wanted to hide it using her hair.

Rito thanked her and even asked for her advise regarding this situation. When he asked her, she felt pretty smug, as if she was waiting for his question.

"Hehe, I have a friend in Sainan Middle School. I asked and found out that Mikan studies in the Primary division of the school. So I just asked my friend for a favour and got her to look out for Mikan."

Tearju laughed cheerfully.

"Thank you very much, Tearju-san!"

He immediately spoke out with a serious expression. Even though he had already decided to act and resolve the issue after he is discharged, he thanked her gratefully since she went out of her way and helped Mikan."

Tearju immediately waved her hands and laughed gently this time.

"It's no problem, besides, she reminds me of my younger sister."

Her eyes turned glazed when spoke about one of her relatives.

Meanwhile, Rito looked at her and asked carefully.

"Is she the one you are trying to find?"

Tearju nodded at his words and smiled lightly.

"Yes."

She did not say much, but a prompt, invisible to Tearju, had appeared in front of his eyes. He did not look at it immediately and looked towards Tearju.

"I hope that you can find her quickly, Tearju-san!"

Seeing his smile, Tearju felt slightly better and picked up the tray and carefully placed it over his legs, so that he is able to eat in bed.

This time, she was careful enough to avoid any accidents.

"I believe you can eat by yourself, right?"

Tearju smiled and asked him as his expression stiffened for a moment before he replied meekly.

"Yeah...."

Seeing his expression, Tearju felt that Rito also had his own adorable side. Just as she was about to hug him to cheer him up, she looked at the tray of food and stopped in her tracks.

She sighed in relief and placed her hand on his head and ruffled his hair lightly.

"Don't be sad! It's good that you are recovering. I will meet you tomorrow! Have a good rest."

Rito nodded and she slowly walked away.

Rito didn't take long before he finished his food and looked at the system that suddenly popped in the middle of the conversation.

Rito looked at the quest and fell silent. He knew that Tearju was looking for 'Konjiki no Yami', but it will still take some time for her to arrive on this planet.

He sighed and shook his head.

He then proceeded to look in his inventory.

He stood up and opened the equipment function and simply placed the band from the inventory on the hands and ankles of his own holographic image in the system.

Immediately, the pressure on his body increased substantially and he took a deep breath as he took out the potion and gulped the contents of the vial whole.
