The winners of the team round may select two of their team to fight in the 2-on-2 doubles round, the victors of which may choose one representative to fight in the final 1-on-1 round. Contenders are knocked out of the battle by falling below a certain Aura threshold or by being thrown out of the fighting arena. There will be a change in who represents their Academy as well, for instance, each academy have 3 team that contains 4 people to represent their team, they will hold their own qualifications on which are going to partic.i.p.ate.

Reporter: Are Beacon Academy going to join this tournament?

Ozpin: This time, our students will not partic.i.p.ate in this tournament. Instead some of our teachers are going there as commentators and watch the tournament.
