Liliana and Madison grabbed Linda and ran towards the bus. Linda had only one thought in mind, she'd finally be able to talk to Emily! But... She did not want to see the look on her face. She must be so angry on me... W-what if... She breaks our friendship because I am not a true and loyal friend. Such countless thoughts started running through her head. She did not want to be bothered by these thoughts, what if she understands her, of course she will, she was her best friend. Linda tried to cheer herself up and clear these thoughts.
She looked out of the window, orange-yellow trees flashing by, everyone walking down the streets with groceries in their hands. Some people had brought along their dogs for a walk. Such a calm and pleasant environment was truly relaxing. She leaned her head against the windows and only focused outside.
Bridgette had been sitting beside her and was busy talking to Madison in the front seat, she glanced at Linda, she looked so beautiful, looking out the window, lost in her own world. The scene was as if it has been taken out of a fairy tale. Comparing herself to Linda, she felt so envious, so jealous... As if she wanted to rip her face apart.
It's just the beginning, everyone is new and getting used to the surrounding, making friends. But she was sure that as soon as things would get settled, people would get to know Linda and she would undoubtedly gain a lot of attention. Bridgette did not know why, but the thought of her gaining attention and praises, was... utterly displeasing. She had two options, either to get rid of her, or either be real close friends with her, so she could steal some of the spotlight.
Getting rid of her was an impossible task, and they were practically room mates, for the next two years, so the only option left for her was to accept her and be close with her, no matter how much she would hate it. If she wanted fame and attention then she would do anything to get it. What if... She doesn't get any limelight? Then she would make sure Linda would not get any either.
The bus occasionally stopped at a few places, everyone would either buy souvenirs or get something to eat. They kept travelling and pulling up from time to time, sometimes to just simply admire the scenery, buying any thing or even look at a few designer stores to check out different styles of fashion. All in all, they spent the day really well, and finally started to head back towards their hostel. Linda made sure to load balance in her mobile, which she should have done long before she left for Paris.
They started to get off the bus. Bridgette quietly slipped her foot in Linda's way and she lost her balance and fell down, straight on her knees. "Ouch!" She shrieked. Since she was wearing a skirt, her knees were bleeding profusely. She almost wanted to cry. Bridgette knelt in front of her, "Oh my gosh, Linda! You're really hurt. Wait..." She said in a 'worrying manner', while taking out a handkerchief and tying it around her knees.
Everyone had gathered around her as well. Madam Daphne was upset, "You should be more careful Linda." Linda nodded, her eyes misty. She looked so pitiful. Madam Daphne urged everyone to leave the site and return to their dorms. "Thank you so much, Bridgette." Linda thanked her from the bottom of her heart as they got up from the ground. "Ah, don't worry. You're my friend." She said while smiling sweetly.
Finally it was night, and everyone was preparing for bed when suddenly Linda remembered that she had to call Emily. She hoped that Emily would not be asleep. "I hope you guys wouldn't mind some noise if I call my friend. It won't take very long, I promise!" Linda asked before she could call her. They all gave her the green signal while they were busy on their phones.
Linda started the video call. It was ringing! Emily must be online...! It rang a few times, before Emily picked it up.
"EMILLYYYYY!!!!" Roared Linda from her end. "LIINDAAAAA" Emily screeched back. "How dare you not pick up my calls and not answer my texts? Do you have any idea what I went through?! I thought you were dead!" Emily complained. Linda tried to reply to her as quick as possible.
It was REALLY noisy. "Keep it down or someone will complain against us!" Madison hissed, but Linda was too busy with Emily and did not hear her. Just then someone started banging loudly on their door. "Uh-oh, trouble." Liliana muttered.
Hearing those fierce knocks, Linda shut everything as quickly as possible and went to open the door.
