There was even a sofa set and a television! Near the beds was a huge closet. Big enough for everyone's luggage to be easily placed with still a lot of room left. Beside it was a full length mirror. It was truly magnificent, a dream-like fantasy which had come true. It was truly a masterpiece, and aesthetically pleasing. One glance at the room and you would fall in love with it.
They started exploring the room. Linda pushed open the washroom door. She had no idea why her first instinct going to a new place to stay is always to check the washroom.
She was impressed beyond words. It too, was tremendously commodious, like the room. The showering stall in the corner had sliding, opaque gla.s.s doors. There were two cubicles for the toilets, and three sinks had been attached in front of a long and wide mirror, extending over the entire wall, with two make-up mirrors as well. Fancy! Linda was overjoyed with all the facilities provided.
When they were done with exploring the dormitory, they unpacked their stuff, sat down on the sofas and started to chit chat among themselves. "Okay, Linda, this is my cousin Bridgette." Madison introduced her cousin to Linda. Although her looks weren't that pretty, she was quite decent. Bridgette smiled at Linda. Madison then pointed at one of her friends and continued saying, "This is my old friend, Dorian, and this is Liliana, whom I made friends during our trip to Paris!" "Nice to meet you, Linda." They said at the same time. "Pleasure to meet you too." Linda replied.
Bridgette was the oldest among them. Her jet black hair complimented her light brown eyes. She was so slim, it seemed as if she were only bones. No wonder her looks were unattractive. She was the least talkative present person in the room. On the other hand, Dorian and Liliana were nice looking. Liliana had a cute appearance rather than a pretty one. Her big round eyes made her look young and innocent. She also had a lively persona. Dorian was a composed, young lady. She talked less, but whenever she did, her voice was calm and dominating.
It was uncanny how the four of them were friends with each other with such different temperaments. "Come on now, Linda. Tell us a little about yourself." Madison urged. "Uhm... I've come from San Francisco. I had been really interested in becoming a fashion designer since my childhood." Linda awkwardly tried to tell 'a little more' about herself. It just did not feel like home.
"You sure do have an amazing fashion sense! Have you ever considered about being a model?" Liliana asked curiously, her eyes wide open. "Uh... Not actually." Linda said softly. "Well, I think you should! Like seriously, look at yourself, you are SO pretty. And your figure is just PERFECT. I would die for a frame like that!" Liliana boomed in admiration. Linda giggled uneasily, rubbing the back of her head, "Eh, haha..."
Madison also chimed in, "You should think about it! It'd totally suit you. Hahaha. Isn't it Dorian? Right Bridgette?" They nodded in agreement, smiling. "Uh, haha. Enough about me. Tell me more about yourselves too!" Linda tried to divert the topic.
The five of them talked the entire afternoon till evening. Up till the speakers outside the rooms blared forth, "Attention everyone. Please make your way to the 'Regal Restaurant' near the lobby for tea. Thank you." Madison and Liliana clapped their hands in joy. Dorian finally spoke up, "Ah, finally. I was so hungry!" They giggled and got ready to head downstairs.
Everyone was heading downstairs and gathering in the restaurant. The hallways were filled with laughs and muttering. When tea was served, they all were impressed by the presentation and taste of the food.
Madam Daphne announced at the end, for students to collect their timetables at the reception for next week's unofficial cla.s.ses. Heading back to their room, the group of five were comparing their timetables with each others. "Yay! Mine and Linda's timetables are almost similar!" Liliana jumped in happiness. Linda looked at hers and was lost deep in thought.
These schedules were so packed, keeping them busy almost the entire day. She had no idea when and how she would be able to contact Emily.
Ah, Emily... I miss you so much...
