They day was pretty slow for Emily, as she was really excited and nervously waiting for the day to end, so they can start their official practice for games. It was a sunny Thursday, only 3 days to submit the forms. Finally, the day was over. The students who wanted to partic.i.p.ate in the games gathered in the main ground while who didn't want to play went home, including Linda. The coach announced the plan during the month of sports, that is, they will stay after college for two hours every day for practice, while the finals will be held within working hours, whenever the day would be decided, the day would be off from studies. Many students were present, few from college while more from high school section of GCA. Trying to find someone she knew, she finally spotted Aiden among the boys, and surprisingly, to Emily's huge shock, Ivy and Hazel! Woah, I can't believe she is trying to get on me for a revenge, Emily thought in anger. After the coach stated the basic rules of not to misbehave and never even think of cheating, he sent us away to change and warm up.
Emily went to the changing room, near the girls washroom. About fifty percent of the girls in the entire inst.i.tute decided to partic.i.p.ate, which is pretty much more than what she expected. So there was quite a rush at the stalls. Among some girls Emily saw Ivy and Hazel talking. After a few seconds, she bangs on the door of the stall in front of her, shouting in anger, "Are you dead? Hurry up!" Surely after a few seconds a girl comes out, rather than being changed, it was like she was half way through changing and after hearing Ivy she decided not to continue and rather put the clothes back on and use another stall. What a bully... I'll teach her a lesson. After 5 minutes, Ivy still hadn't changed. Emily rolled her eyes at this unacceptable behavior. Soon enough she was out, letting Hazel go. The stall in front of Emily opened and she went inside. Within three minutes, she was out, setting her hair. "Idiot hurry up!" She heard Ivy scream at Hazel. "10 seconds!" Hazel squeaked from inside. Emily didn't have enough time to watch their drama and quickly decided to leave. She gave a side glance at Ivy, only to find her glaring and grinning in a devilish way at Emily. She ignored and quickly joined the others outside.
She started to warm up with the rest. She saw Aiden approach his way towards her. He was wearing a sleeveless blue tank top with white shorts, a dress code for boys doing sports, showing his fit and pretty much muscular body. "Whenever you need help, just come to me." He offered, beaming. "Sure!" Emily replied, tickled pink to have such a good friend. As everyone was warming up, she saw specific areas a.s.signed for a particular sport. Among them, she saw a person taking aim from a bow to a target about fifty feet ahead of him. The target was a circular board, with different colored rings inside. Archery, Emily recognized it in an instant. The person shot the arrow, another person declaring the points to him, "Nine points, Cyril! Amazing!" Oh! So he is Cyril, Emily took a closer look. He was indeed good looking, as Chris described. Wearing a green striped tank top and black shorts.
She thought for a while, and decided to choose archery as her first game. It seemed quite simple, nothing complicated. She was happy with her choice and move towards the archery section for practice. She picked up a bow and some arrows, which were available at a table nearby. Cyril saw her and moved towards her. "Hey there. Nice to meet you. I'm Cyril." He greeted politely, presenting his hand for a handshake. Emily shook her hand replying, "Hi, I am Emily." Cyril smiled, "I see you are interested in archery, I can help you with that if you need." "I could really use your help to know the basics." Emily asked pleasantly. What a sweet and pretty girl, Cyril thought.
