THE BOOK OF Z 14 Chapter 13 - Lucas

Ricardo was seated on a throne in the centre of an ancient ruin near the palace. When he saw t.i.tanius, he realized that Zeroth was close and ordered his people to attack Zeroth.

When Zeroth was advancing towards the Ruin , he saw many death bodies of the citizens of Salvac lying on the ground . It made him extremely angry and then he saw Ricardo's people rushing towards him . Zeroth then fiercely shouted , " Astridous, t.i.tanius kill all of them . Don't let anyone escape. "

Then Astridous and t.i.tanius started attacking them and Zeroth stood there idly waiting for them to finish.

" How did he suddenly become so strong ?", said Ricardo, who could now see the battle between Zeroth and his people from where he was seated. ' I must complete the last part of the ceremony as soon as possible ', thought Ricardo, then he got up from his throne and approached a floating golden pillar , which was in front of him. On the top of the pillar there were both the parts of the book of Z, and the books were releasing a dark light into the sky .

When Astridous and t.i.tanius defeated all the people , Zeroth said, " Astridous and t.i.tanius, return". Then they both disappeared. Zeroth then took out the sword which the village head of the Witch Island had given him.

Then when Zeroth was about to climb the stairs to the Ancient Ruins, a person suddenly showed up, he had yellow hair , red eyes and was fair in Complexion.

That person said, " My name is Fred and I won't let you cause interference in the Dark G.o.d's ...." , and before he could complete his words Zeroth with a quick movement drew his sword and slashed Fred's chest .

When Zeroth reached the top of the Ancient Ruins, he saw Ricardo chanting spells with his eyes shut in front of a golden pillar. Zeroth tried to attack the pole , but as he advanced near it , he was pulled backwards by an extreme amout of energy.

Then Ricardo opened his eyes and said, " I must thank you Zeroth, as the ceremony required the sacrifice of a lot of people, to be completed . I had started the count by killing the people of Salvac and you have completed it by killing my own people . By the way if you wouldn't have killed them I would've done it myself. ", then Ricardo raised his hands and the book of Z, which had now again turned into a single book came floating in his hands and now Ricardo's body emitted a huge amount of power.

Then Ricardo said, " Now I can lend as much strength as I want from it. " . Then Ricardo paused for a while and then continued, " Do you still intend to fight me ?".

" Yes , I do" , said Zeroth.

Then Ricardo opened the book and said, " capture". Then suddenly a number of black hands appeared from the ground and then moved towards Zeroth .

Zeroth with a single strike from his sword , prevented the attack. Then Ricardo rushed towards Zeroth and punched him on his chest and then said, " You would've become strong , but you can't prevent this attack. ".

Then Ricardo raised his hand and said , " DESTROY ", then a huge Dark ball appeared on top of his hands . He then released it towards Zeroth. Then Zeroth said, " Lend me your strength, Zenon and Leisa , FUSE.".

Then the Dark Ball got disappeared itself before it could touch Zeroth . Ricardo was now shocked to see this form of Zeroth.

Zeroth's hairs had now turned White, his eyes had turned fully red . His right eye was emitting bright flames. He had a black wing at his right and had a white wing at the left. He had a black tail and had a white circle floating on top of his head. Zeroth's body released an tremendous amount of energy and then released a bright white light to the sky.

Now the sky had turned back to normal and the Darkness had vanished. Zeroth rushed towards Ricardo and then punched him on his face. Ricardo was badly pushed back and hit the wall of the Ruin and fell on the ground .

Then Ricardo again stood up, his entire body was covered with blood and then he said, " How can a human possibly possess such a devastating strength !".

Then Ricardo rushed towards Zeroth, but before he could do anything, Zeroth drew his sword and slashed Ricardo's chest. Ricardo fell to the ground and was yelling in pain. Zeroth then approached Ricardo and took the Book of Z from him.

Then Zeroth returned to his normal form and was going to leave the Ruin when Max suddenly showed up.

Then Max approached Zeroth and said," I was worried about you, so came here to check . But it seems that you have managed to defeat him.", then Max paused for a while and then continued, " Can I please have a look at the Book of Z".

Then Zeroth handed the Book of Z to Max, then suddenly Max stabbed Zeroth with a knife. Zeroth was fully confused and asked, " Why..... did you do this?".

Then Ricardo said, " Lucas ..... so you were also after the Book of Z all along."

" So you knew." , said Max.

" What is he .....saying?", asked Zeroth.

" I am sorry Zeroth, I just used you as a p.a.w.n to get my hands on the Book of Z. Actually I am Lucas , the Royal Captain . Now that I have what I needed , you must die.", replied Lucas.
