Brandon Blackwood was not really into his parents idea of having a mistress. He loved his wife, he had, for as long as he could remember. After the ordeal with his first wife, Beverly, he swore to treat her right. Then he couldn't oppose his parents and marry her because she brought no benefit to his family. He thought of many ways to push Beverly out so that he could give her her rightful position by his side but he couldn't because she was still in control of her family wealth. After he found out she had cancer he was so excited, he increased his efforts by making her feel good even though it was already in the third stage and treatment was already too late. As she believed he loved her, she wasn't guarded against him and didn't think of why he would suddenly ask her to sign off everything to him. She did so willing, after all he was her husband, her family but he kicked her out of their home in the end. If not for his parents, he would have kicked Carl out too. He would gladly take away every "weed" from her path.

However, he couldn't understand why she would constantly bring shame to his family. It angered him. In his fit, he went over to their ancestral home. After talking to his mother, he retired to his room. He did not know this would be the beginning of the problems at home and may be joy too. He immediately got into the shower, unknown to him his mother's plans. She had already called one of the ladies she selected for him and also placed "incense" in the room. Soon the smell circulated into the bathroom.  When he came out, he saw a woman stark naked lying on his bed, by then, his judgement was already clouded. He had forgotten all about his wife as he made towards her with eyes full of l.u.s.t. When he realized what had happened, it was already too late, the deed had been done. Seeing the delicate woman on her knees, he couldn't bare to hit her either, so he got up, leaving her behind. He did not know how he was going to explain to his wife. 

His mother on the other hand was glad her plan worked, if she got pregnant she would surely make her the new madam. Even if she doesn't, it has already been decided. She had even promised the young lady that the position of matriarch would be hers if she births children, most importantly girls, as the would marry into other families, strengthening them in turn. If not that her son was already in his 40s and had a wife, she would have gotten a girl from a better family but this was all she could do.

Kim stretched as she walked into the living room. She was groggy from her sleep that she b.u.mped into Carl, remembering yesterday, she flushed red, before walking past him like nothing happened. Seeing her avoid him, he made up his mind to give her s.p.a.ce until she decides to talk. "What do you think about martial arts." He inquired. Giving him a puzzled look, she replied, "I haven't really thought about it." He walked to her while asking, "Do you want to learn?" "I'm not really interested." She said. "How about for self defense." He added. Washing she dishes, she began, "I have no need for it." He sighed, 'I thought so too.'

Walking close to her, he stopped when he was behind her, "Remember the day we met?" She knew he was close to her, shrugging off the feeling that came with his intense gaze, she nodded. "How can I forget?" "Then?"

"I'm busy with work, I don't have the time to spare." She said, brushing him off. Setting aside the dishes, she could sense his eyes follow her every action. It made her feel like a prey, she didn't like it. "Don't just brush it off, your life is important therefore, it's necessary." She wanted to move away from him fast, changing the topic, she said, "I need to go to work."

"You don't need to go to work, I told you if you're bothered about money, you can use mine, it's ours." She chose to ignore him as his insistence annoyed her. Walking past him, he pulled her arms, "Are you even listening?" He questioned in a stern voice. After all, it concerned her well being, he couldn't understand why she was acting unbothered.

"What are you trying to do here? Just because we kissed doesn't automatically make me yours. You have no right to try to force your money on me or make me learn anything. Your money belongs to you, that's why it's yours, I want my own money." She yelled. He was caught off guard, he quickly let go of her arm. She saw the hurt flash through his eyes, guilt gnarred her heart but she ignored it as she left him standing there.
