As she pressed him to the bed, she could feel the bulge in his pants . Making her acknowledge that she wasn't the only one who was tempted . Though, she did not understand why he was holding himself back when they were already a couple .

When their lips met, the smell of toothpaste a.s.saulted her senses . Kim was not particularly fond of this smell . She would prefer not to come in contact with it if she wasn't brushing .

Surprisingly, she found it alluring . His mouth was fresh . "The smell of toothpaste isn't that repugnant," she thought .

She wondered why he tasted so sweet, almost intoxicating, she couldn't get enough .

Carl who was stunned by her sudden action gradually returned her kiss . He was trying to make her slow down but she wasn't having it . Her tongue intruded his mouth when he wanted to speak . Almost immediately, he could feel her wandering hands setting him on fire .

"ah… s-slow down…" he managed to say . More so, he sounded like he didn't want her to .

The sound of his moan was like petrol to car . She was encouraged to please him even more . As quickly as she began, she had unb.u.t.toned his pyjamas .

He didn't mean for it to happen, things were going well and he wanted nothing more than to go along with the flow but he knew their relationship wasn't ready for that . So he tried to convince her, to stop her albeit grudgingly .

"Did I do something wrong?" She questioned .  

Her inquiry made him panic . A thin sheen of sweat appeared on his forehead . "Of course not!" He exclaimed .

Her next question came, "Then why?" This time, she wasn't looking into his eyes . Her head hung low as she embraced herself .

Carl quickly sat beside her . He did not like how insecure she was . He tried to touch her but she wouldn't have it .

"I'm really sorry . I was just scared that I wouldn't be able to stop if we go any further . I didn't mean to push you away either . I was just… startled . "

When she heard him, she raised a brow . Why was he scared? What did he mean by stop? Wasn't it something consensual? Besides, they were together . Married, at that!

"I mean, I did not try to woo you, neither did we date nor did I propose to you . I feel it's not right jumping to this… our relationship isn't stable yet . I mean, just yesterday morning, I didn't even know we would be married today . I wasn't even aware of your feelings for me . So I feel uncomfortable…" Carl explained .

"What?!" Kim understood the first part . Basically their relationship wasn't there yet . But what did he mean by "uncomfortable"? She should be the one feeling uncomfortable . Why was he acting like a young maiden? Like she took advantage of him . . .

"No, no," sensing her hostility, he shook his head frantically . "I feel uncomfortable albeit happy that you made advances . " She glared at him . He knew to choose his next words wisely .

"What I'm trying to say is that, I hope to sollidy our union before consummating our marriage and also prove to you that it isn't all about s.e.x, you can show your affection in a whole lot of ways . " He hurriedly explained in a breath .

Kim bit her lip, "But…"

She really wanted to say screw waiting, I want you . However she couldn't fault him, he was right . Their relationship had no foundation, they couldn't just jump to roofing .
