Qing Ge [Rebirth] - Chapter 3: I now have a family~ (我是有家室的人了～) Part 1

“Good.” Because Qing Ge’s mood after receiving the oath was extremely good, he conveniently forgot the fact that he could not eat many things. Once he ate it, he would have an allergic reaction, heh heh. [1]

“Wait for me here,” Duan Yu Jing laughed. He once again tucked Qing Ge into the blankets and left to find a doctor.

Qing Ge was covered with the blanket, only leaving a pair of round cat eyes peeking out, eyes bright as it looked in the direction where Jing-Ge just left. In the future, he was someone with a family, hehe.

A few minutes later, Duan Yu Jing walked in again. Behind him was a middle-aged doctor wearing a white coat.

Qing Ge was lying on his bed. When he saw Jing-Ge walk in, his eyes squinted as he smiled, just like a kitten waiting to be fed. Behind him, it was also as if there was an invisible tail swaying, shaking Duan Yu Jing’s heart. He was secretly glad that he came earlier.

“Doctor, take a look at my younger brother. Is there still anything wrong with his body? Does he need to stay in the hospital for monitoring? Can he be discharged?” Duan Yu Jing smiled lightly and walked over to help him up, letting Qing Ge lean into his embrace.

“The patient is fine now, it’s just that his body is too weak. He cannot exert himself, he should not have too much stress. During these few days, he can exercise a bit. He needs to pay heavy attention to his meals, foods that are too heaty, too cooling, or are spicy, all are not allowed. He cannot consume too many fruits either. Duan Yu Jing held onto his hands and surrounded him within his embrace. Holding the cotton swab above the needle’s tip, the heat that came from his palm was almost scorching Qing Ge. His recently calmed down heart suddenly became agitated again. Why is the Jing-Ge of this lifetime so attractive?

Duan Yu Jing sincerely memorized the doctor’s words in his heart, asking him questions from time to time. For example, things like what types of medicinal herbs could he use to supplement Qing Ge’s body. Or, what types of food he should not eat too much of. He asked about everything clearly, thinking of consulting Huo Si Ming later after they got back.

Huo Si Ming was also one of Duan Yu Jing’s few bosom friends. The hospitals in Qing City were all his family’s business’. Huo Si Ming is also extremely interested in chinese medicine. He even went as far as to be apprenticed to an old doctor that specializes in the area. Usually, when he had time, he would delve into and study the different types of medicinal herbs.

After the doctor left, Duan Yu Jing leaned forward and took out a honey peach from within the bag. Just when he picked up a knife, he thought about it and turned his head to ask, “Is Qing Ge allergic to honey peach?”

In his subconscious mind, he was allergic to everything he ate. He really wanted to cry but had no tears. After living once, could he please change a body?

Duan Yu Jing’s hand that was holding onto the honey peach twitched, before he smiled, “How about this, let’s not eat the honey peach first. What about an apple? I remember when we first met, Auntie gave you a slice of apple pie and you didn’t have an allergic reaction.”

“Can’t I eat just a little bit? Just a small bite? I haven’t eaten it in a long time,” Qing Ge haggled.

“Then you can only take a small bite first. If you don’t feel comfortable, you’re not allowed to eat anymore.” Duan Yu Jing looked at the person haggling coquettishly. With absolutely no will to resist, he peeled the peach with practiced hands before he split it into several slices. He only let Qing Ge take the smallest piece.

“If I’m not allergic, Jing-Ge will let me eat all of it,” Qing Ge fawned.

“Okay,” Duan Yu Jing grinned, “The doctor said that you can be discharged. I’ll help you deal with the paperwork procedures, you wait for me here. If your body still hasn’t had any allergic reaction after twenty minutes, then you can eat the rest.”

“You don’t need to pay the fee, that cheap dad of mine has paid already.” Qing Ge nodded obediently as he clasped the honey peach in both his hands and ate happily. How wonderful would it be to have a healthy body, to be able to eat whatever he felt like eating? Unlike how he is now, having to worry about whether he was allergic when he just wants to eat a honey peach.

“Good.” Duan Yu Jing responded smiling.
