Eternity Foxx: The Rise To Eternal Knowledge 23 Ch 23: They Fallen Angels Have A Plan

Taking out a weapon would go against the war terms. Even if I wanted to, Lilith has my bag.

I will never hear the end of it if I ask Mikhail for help. Nor will I if I ask for my bag right now. I need to figure something out fast.

The fallen that I was facing stopped for a second. It looked in the direction of Lilith, and the other one. I looked over to see if Lil was ok.

What I saw was the fallen had been slain, and she was healing the monks. Typical of her to deal with her opponent fast, and provide support.

The one that was with me ran to its weapon, and started to go in her direction.

"Lil!! Eyes up, it's coming!"

I had started running as well to her position. She grabbed my bag, readied an arrow, and sent it to me. I s.n.a.t.c.hed it out the air, and took out my weapon.

I got ahead of the fallen one, and stopped it from progressing.

"Thank you for being so friendly as to allowing me an opportunity to wag my tail once again."

I saw that Mikhail was still engaged in hand to hand. Best not to bother him though. My brother is highly capable of handling hand to hand situations.

He was the strongest person I had encountered this far. She was the most stable being I had the pleasure of knowing. We three together had a bond that would not fall easily.

I was in combat with the fallen, and I heard a horn blowing in the distance. It turned to the other one. Then looked back to me, and spoke to me.

"We will grow our ranks back. If your King does not want to reincarnate any of our soilders that you've killed."

It turned in the direction of the horn.

"We will take from your ranks to replenish our own."

Then it, and the other one flew off towards the horn. I wonder who was blowing the horn? Even more so... That fallen made it seem like they have a plan, or something.

Mikhail came over to where I was. He looked a little banged up, and confused. I a.s.sume that's due to what the fallen was saying. The other one probably told him something similar.

"Did that fallen speak to you Eternity?" He said when he got there.

"Yes it did brother. It mentioned something about refilling their ranks."

"Is your Father not reincarnating any more of the fallen? Is that His way of punishing them?"

He shook his head.

"Father has been sending them to the h.e.l.l fire lately. He says it has something to do with a plan of His own."

"If the fallen are planning to take from our ranks. It would make sense to come after you two."

I think he is right about that part. Me, and Lil are pretty strong on our own. Together, we are unstoppable, and it's the same with Mikhail.

If they wanted strong soilders we were a good scout. I'm not one of the Angels though. I have to be careful now more then ever. I have to live outside the wall.

"If your Father has a plan. Then He must have some idea of what they are planning."

"I will trust in His judgment, and wait to see how this plays out."

He nodded back in agreement.

"Eternity you are always so keen on Father's wants of you. It's like I don't have to tell you what He wants half the time."

That's true, I can feel it out when the old man wants me to do something. I think He talks to me by showing me things.

I guess He figured if He talks to me directly for too long. I will find a way to find His location, and go to Him. Not that i would harm Him at all. I just want to meet the guy face to face one day.

Not too sure that i haven't already though. He could be anyone He wants to be.

"Did He say something to you about me?"

He had a big smile when i said that.

"Yes, He told me to ask if you would join me in a raid soon."

He wants me to go on a raid with Mikhail, and the Angels. A raid usually has ten, or more party members. I He wants me to go with them. He probably wants Lil to go as well.

"Where is this raid going, and when?"

I'm not an Angel, so I won't get any credit for this one. I have to remain anonymous though. I don't want anyone in Heaven knowing who I am just yet.

"We are going to raid a Devil clan linked to a fallen one named Samael. His name means "G.o.d's Venom.""

This mans name means "G.o.d's Venom," and we are going after him? Doesn't the meaning of his name mean that he was an Archangel before his fall?

"Mikhail you said that all The King's chosen children are named with His name in them?"

He nodded...

"Samael was one of our strongest. No clue why he wanted to leave, but he did. If we run in to him in the raid."

He walked up to me with a very serious look.

" Do not allow him to speak to you for very long. He is a master at communicating, and deception."

A master at these kind of things? Does that mean he can decieve anyone?

"He is not someone you can take lightly brother. Father has not announced to me when just yet."

"I will inform you as soon as He does. He also wants Lil on this raid."

("MIKHAIL!!!)

"I think you should stop abbreviating her name brother. One of these days she is going to scold you for it."

He laughed at me.

"You guys are so informal with each other, and too formal with the rest of us. You, and Lil need to lighten up about that some."

Just then an arrow struck him in the a.s.s. We looked back, and she was furiously walking towards us. We looked at each other.

"I told you she was going to get you sooner, or later."

We both laughed, and he took flight. Leaving us to go back to his normal duties.

"Your brother is going to get it if he doesn't stop calling me that."

She had calmed down a bit by the time she reached me.

"He does it out of love Lil. Don't be so hard on him please."

She gave me a side eye that sent chills down my spine.

"Anyway Foxx, what was that horn all about? It said something about their ranks?"

She had excellent hearing, as well as sight. She was a formidable long range expert.

"Yeah, it said that The King was not reincarnating any of their lost soilders."

She shook her head.

"No He isn't. They have been talking about plans that He is making."

"About those plans, I heard Mikhail say something about a raised also."

We started to walk back to the monks.

"Yes, The King wants us to join them. I don't want to be known, so I may need armor to disguise myself."

The monk were healing each other as we arrived.

"Well you could wait until we get outside the wall. Then follow us from the abyss."

She was a pretty good strategist herself.

"That actually sounds like a solid plan!"

He turned to me with her hands behind her back.

"I know I'm the best master a demon could have. Now you behave yourself while I'm gone.."

She ran over to help the monks finish healing. That woman is something else...

I walked over to speak with the my uncle about what just happen. I have to find out if he heard that as well.

"Uncle, did you hear what the fallen said back there?"

He shook his head.

"I did not, but it seems to be bothering you. What did it say to you?"

I sat down next to him.

"It said they are attacking you, because they want to replace their numbers."

"It told me about The King not allowing them reincarnation."

He raised his eyebrows, and his eyes opened wide.

"They are coming after us to take Angels from the ranks of Heaven? That is a troubling thought. This is what our King is talking about in our meetings."

"He is right to start a plan of His own."

He grabbed his chin in deep thought it seemed.

"Mikhail asked me to be a part of that plan. Lilith is going to accompany us as well."

"She said that I should travel along side the raid party in the abyss. That way I dont have to let it be know that I'm really there."

He looked up at me.

"She is right about that if that is your goal. To not be seen."

"What will you do if they need you?"

I will probably have to use sense of dominance, and retreat from battle before my energy gets low.

"I have a few tricks up my sleeve for a situation like that."

He smiled, and patted me on the knee.

"I'm sure whatever tricks you have for the enemy will be successful. Deception is a defense for you, and not an offense."

"I see you use deception to protect others, and keep yourself safe as well. Your offense is very honest though."

"It is straight forward, and blunt. You don't hold back from going after what you want."

This monk is always so understanding of me. I rather enjoy our talks together no matter how far apart they are.
