"What? No way! This photo is perfect. Just look how excited you are in this picture." She hovered the screen of her phone in front of his face, s.n.a.t.c.hing it away as he reached for it. "Ehehehe, it's a hundred years too soon for you to try to take something away from me little Yu."
Yu Chang sighed. "Fine, can you at least promise me you won't show it to anyone?"
"Mmmm… no promises," Falling Star said and stuck out her tongue again. "As for moving forward," she said switching back into a more serious tone. "First, I'll need to send a note with you to your school explaining your absences, as well as schedule you some time off tomorrow afternoon so we can register you as my disciple officially. However, you should go to your morning cla.s.ses. I don't want you to fall behind in your studies. An intelligent mind is important for cultivation. So I expect you to give it your all in cla.s.ses. Then in the evenings, we will train for three hours at the start, until you're ready to move forward. That won't start until next week though, as we'll be very busy over the next few days. In the meantime, in case something happens between now and tomorrow when I come to pick you up, I want to give you my personal contact information." Falling Star took out what appeared to be a business card, but unlike business cards, this one was decorated with hearts and only listed her personal info. It looked as though it was designed to be given to a guy who she had set her sights on. She handed the card to Yu Chang and took out a notebook and started writing.
"May I ask who you intended to give this to before you met me Master Star?"
Falling Star snorted before replying. "You think there is anyone out there that could actually hold my interest for more than five seconds? I only had those made on the off chance I met rather unique individuals. Though, in a way, I guess you could say you have caught my interest. If you want to see whether you can hold my interest for more than five seconds though, keep asking questions!" Falling Star looked at Yu Chang with that devilish smile again.
Yu Chang swallowed hard and decided it would be best not to ask any more questions.
"Okay! Here is the note for your teacher. As for requesting time off, I'll do that personally, after all the principle is an old acquaintance of my father." She ripped the note out of the notebook and slipped the notebook back into Yu Chang's bag. Upon noticing where she got the notebook, Yu Chang sighed. "Once you're ready little Yu, I'll go get the doctor, so she can clear you to leave. I have a car waiting out front, I texted someone to drop it off a little while ago."
"I'm ready whenever master."
"Good, let me go find the doctor." Falling Star left the room to search for doctor Bái Xuě.
"Lady Falling Star is my master!" Yu Chang couldn't hold in his excitement any longer. "She's not quite what I expected though. Rather girlish in her personality, well except when she's threatening me, but still."
At that moment, Falling Star returned with Doctor Bái Xuě. Seeing the excited look on his face the two women couldn't help but smile. Immediately, a violet radiance projected from Bái Xuě's eyes as she gazed at Yu Chang. "Hmmm seems fit enough. Little Yu, wait here a moment while Senior Star and I fill out the paperwork for your release."
Bái Xuě and Falling Star stepped back into the hall and closed the door. Bái Xuě sighed and looked at Falling Star, the radiance from her eyes faded as she spoke. "Senior Star, it seems my earlier evaluation was a bit too optimistic. Physically, Little Yu has the body of a sixth level cultivator. That being the case, it will take even more spirit energy than I expected for him to break through to level one. Basically, each breakthrough he achieves will be like six full level ups for a normal cultivator, I can't fathom that there will be a chance for him at this point. That being said, in a normal fight, Little Yu will not be inferior to a level five cultivator, though against a level six he would lose due to the lack of spirit energy. His first few weeks of training going forward will need to focus on him adapting to his new strength, it is imperative that he not get into physical confrontations with anyone below the fourth level until he can control his strength. Please make sure that Little Yu is fully aware of this."
"I understand," Falling Star responded. "Given his current situation, do you think my style would be suited for Little Yu? I plan on training him personally from this point forward and need to grasp the appropriate style that would be best suited for him."
"That… that might not be a bad idea. If Little Yu were to focus on normal styles, I would have to say his chances are non-existent, I had not considered the possibility that you would be overseeing his training personally. Yes, the way of the body pract.i.tioners should be very suitable for Little Yu. It will just take extreme measures to stimulate his body to absorb spirit energy. Do you have a plan?"
"Ehehehe… Combat is the best means!"
