Ning An had seen Derek fight in close combat twice and knew full well that he was no match for him if he faced him head on. However, he knew how to dodge. His movements were quick and agile like a fish, avoiding all of Derek's attacks.
“If you continue on like this, you won't be able to get a mark in the final exam.” Derek smirked.
“Why?” When Ning An heard these words, he was momentarily stunned, giving Derek the opportunity to attack and press him to the ground, his arms held behind his back.
The first thing Fu Ke saw when he came out of the training room was Derek pressing Ning An to the ground. He not only sensed Derek's pheromones, but also noticed Ning An in a glance. “What are you guys doing?”
“Did you finish training?” Derek released Ning An and pulled him up from the ground. “I'm acting as a sparring partner for others.”
“As a sparring partner, do you need to release your pheromones?” Fu Ke pulled Derek to one side. “Do you know that he's a……” Fu Ke suddenly stopped talking. Thinking about it, this was just his own speculation. But if it was true, then the other party would certainly not want others to find out his secret.
Derek was completely oblivious to Fu Ke's odd behaviour. “I know that he's a Beta ah. Right, he didn't have any reaction to my pheromones. Do you think he could be a hidden Alpha?”
Fu Ke instantly looked pitifully at Derek as though he was looking at an idiot. My childhood friend thinks a suspected Omega might be an Alpha. Should I give him a punch to wake him up?
“He can't be. The school doctors are not that easy to fool.” Fu Ke thought for a moment and decided to restrain giving Derek a punch. He moved the towel around his neck and indicated to Ning An and He Xin. “Aren't you going to introduce them to me?”
Bro, what is wrong with you ah? Why are you acting like this in front of me? Do you think that I didn't see you stealing glances at him quite a few times? Derek roared in his heart. He opened his mouth, wanting to slam him with these questions, but decided to drop it in the end. Perhaps Fu was just too shy.
Smiling, he headed with Fu Ke towards Ning An and He Xin and introduced him. “Sorry to have kept you guys waiting. This is my good friend, Fu Ke. I believe you should have heard his speech in the morning, right?”
“I saw it! Student Fu's speech was really inspiring.” He Xin's eyes were glistening. He extended his hand to Fu Ke. “h.e.l.lo. My name is He Xin.”
Fu Ke shook his hand and nodded. “h.e.l.lo.”
“h.e.l.lo. I'm Ning An. Pleased to meet you.” Ning An didn't have much of an impression on Fu Ke's speech. He followed He Xin and also extended his hand.
“h.e.l.lo.” Fu Ke lightly shook his hand and unconsciously frowned again. This soft and delicate hand was clearly that of a spoiled young master.
“Derek, why did you just say that I won't be able to get a mark in the final exam like this? I avoided all your attacks.”
“Dodging is also a skill, but if you always dodge, then this close combat course would lose its meaning, wouldn't it?”
“You should not only dodge your opponent's attacks, but also make effective counterattacks. Only then can you obtain a high mark for this course.” Derek looked at Ning An's slightly confused expression and asked again, “How many points do you want to get for this course?”
“Of course, the higher the better ah. I want to get first in the exam.” Ning An didn't think that there was any problem with what he said. He Xin also felt that it was great that Ning An had fighting spirit. Derek and Fu Ke had different things in mind, but they both thought it was impossible for Ning An to get first place.
“Hai. Then He Xin, what is your target?” Derek tried his hardest to not show his doubt.
“I also think the higher the grades, the better ah……” He Xin had always been a good baby on his home planet. Naturally, he also wanted to get good results to make his parents happy.
“Your military instructor will teach you fighting skills in cla.s.s. If there's anything you don't understand, you can come and ask me again. After all, we have an arrangement.” Derek sent Ning An a wink. “However, I still suggest that you start from basic training. No matter how good your skills are, you must also have a good physical foundation to properly execute them.”
“I know. Thank you.” Ning An still wanted to asked what he should do for training when Fu Ke suddenly spoke up.
“Cla.s.ses will official start tomorrow so you'll be busy. It's better to go back first and rest.”
“Right, you guys should add each other on your terminals. If I'm busy, you can go find him.” Derek mischievously smiled as he sold Fu Ke off. Since they have met and chatted with each other for a while, shouldn't they move on to exchanging contact details? However, Fu Ke was the exact opposite. Derek has never seen him take the initiative to add other people. He guessed that there was probably no one else in Fu Ke's friend list besides his family and teachers. It can't go on like this, he needs to expand his social circle!
Mother hen Derek Liszt was very distressed for his baby Fu Ke.
Fu Ke didn't seem very happy, but he still took the initiative to add two people into his terminal. “Right, which cla.s.s are you guys in?”
“We're in Cla.s.s 6.” He Xin happily accepted Fu Ke's friend request. “Instructor Qin is a very interesting person.”
‘Qin Zhao'. Fu Ke and Derek glanced at each other. Their expressions were slightly awkward. “That… you, have you heard of any matters related to him?”
“If you're referring to the scandal, we already know about it.” From their expressions, Ning An could tell that they wanted to say something. This was to be expected though. These two both came from families with military backgrounds, so it was natural that they would know more about this kind of matter. “Is there a problem?”
“That, you can't always believe in rumours, right?” Derek awkwardly laughed and shifted his gaze.
Fu Ke nevertheless looked seriously at Ning An. “But you still need to be careful.”
“En, we'll keep that in mind. Thank you for today.” Ning An didn't have Chen Siyu's kind of gossiping heart. Seeing that the two were unwilling to discuss this matter, he also didn't press them for details. “We'll had back to our dorms first. Bye bye.”
As soon as he heard Ning An answer him with ‘we', Fu Ke felt that Ning An completely didn't understand his intentions. He frowned again, thinking of finding another opportunity to warn him about this matter again.
“Why do you keep frowning? Do you really want to get a full face of wrinkles at such a young age?” Since young, this childhood friend didn't like to smile. After he grew up, he frowned even more frequently. Derek felt that he was too gloomy.
“…… It's nothing.” Fu Ke himself didn't notice, but it was already a subconscious action. “Right, what arrangement did you make with him?”
“That is…… a secret!” Derek revealed what he thought to be a handsome and confident smile, but seeing it, Fu Ke only wanted to beat him up. “It has something to do with my marriage life.”
In fact, it was just that Derek found out from chatting with Ning An that he has a little sister studying in the Omega Art Inst.i.tute, and so he wanted him to help inquire about the students in that school. Although he knew Fu Ke's little sister was also in that inst.i.tute, because they were familiar with each other, he was too embarra.s.sed to ask. However, when Derek's words entered Fu Ke's ears, they had an entirely different meaning.
Did Derek find out that Ning An was an Omega?
As soon as he thought this, Fu Ke immediately dismissed it. According to Derek's character, he wouldn't behave like this. He would definitely go and inform the military instructor. Was it a private business deal? The more Fu Ke thought about it, the more he came up with conspiracy theories. He quickly dispelled all his thoughts.
“Fu, you don't look so good. Ai, did you exercise too much?” Fu Ke's face turned dark as soon as he thought of their arrangement. Derek thought that he didn't feel well.
“I'm fine.” Fu Ke avoided Derek's hand that was reaching for his forehead. At the same time, his terminal received a new message from Ning An.
[h.e.l.lo, Student Fu. I have a roommate who worships you very much. Can I give him your contact details?] Seeming to think that his tone was too serious, Ning An also added a confused bunny emoji at the end of the message.
Derek laughed when he saw that emoji. “Pfft, a bunny hahaha…… Tell him yes.”
Fu Ke rolled his eyes and replied. [You can.]
After he sent this, when he was certain that Derek couldn't see his terminal, he sent another text. [You don't need to call me Student Fu. Just Fu Ke is fine.]
