A Hero's Multiverse 57 Chapter 55: Ultron Prime

Seeing Ultron as she enters her lab, he warns her by saying. ''Scream, and your entire staff dies. I could've killed you, Helen, the night we met. I didn't.''

Looking dejected at the metal man Helen asks him. ''Do you expect a thank you note?

Ignoring the Doctors misplaced sarcasm, Ultron tells her. ''No, I expect you to know why.''

Hating herself for knowing the answer, Dr. Cho is shocked to listen to her own voice. ''The Cradle. This is the next thing, Tony."

''This... is the next me.''States Ultron gleefully seeing h.e.l.len Cho's shocked face.

''The regeneration cradle prints tissue, it can't build a living body.''

Ignoring the doctor's words, the robot steps in front of the black silvery metal box stating. ''This... is the next me.''

Repeating herself, Dr. Cho tells the mad robot. ''The regeneration cradle prints tissue, it can't build a living body.''

Seeing Quicksilver enter the lab holding the scepter, Ultron turns around approaching Cho. ''It can, you can. You just lack the materials. You're a brilliant woman, Helen. But we all have room to improve.''

That said, Ultron takes the scepter from Quicksilver to mind-control Cho.

''What about my sister? She is still with Stark and this Ethen guy!'' Asks Pietro Maximov Ultron, seeing the woman's eyes turn blue.

While Cho connects Ultron to the cradle, the robot tells the young man. ''All in due time. First I have to get a boy more lasting, then we get your sister back, you have my word on that Pietro. But until then, do you want to know about your father?''

Looking cold following Ultron mentioning his biological father, Quicksilver says. ''I never had a father, just some random guy donating his seed to impregnate my mother.''

Smirking, despite feeling uncomfortable Ultron states. ''Oh, but your father is so much more than that...''

While Ultron with the help of Quicksilver is able to slowly integrate with his new body, Ethen, Natasha, Wanda, Betty and the rest of the Avengers rea.s.semble at Hawkeyes safe house. As the Quinjet carrying Ethen, his woman, Banner and Betty lands outside a large farmhouse, Ethen can already see the Stark, Thor and Cap walk towards them.

''Glad you were able to make it...'' States Tony jokingly, despite looking very much banged up. ''... Hope the traffic wasn't too bad.''

Seeing Banner looking mindlessly into the distance, Steve asks him concerned. ''Banner are you good?''

Shacking her head, Betty answers the question. ''No, he isn't. As you know he has a split personality and the Hulk in him is still mind controlled by that robot.''

''s.h.i.t, so I guess we will hot have the big guy back to fight Ultron.'' Says Thor stating the obvious.

Seeing Furry and his aid Hill come up the farmhouse driveway in a black convertible, Tony comments. ''Wow, black convertible, really? Nothing shouts more secret agent or serial rapist than a black minivan!''

While Betty is together with Wanda and Hill are bringing Banner into the farmhouse, Natasha is the first to greet Furry. ''Going by your look, you are bringing bad news.''

''Hey hate the message, not the message!...'' States Nick, seeing Ethen, Stark, Cap, and Thor talk among themselves. ''... How is it going with Wayne? Following Africa, I guess we are one Avenger short. What do you think about him joining?''

''I don't think that is such a good idea at the moment...'' Starts Natasha to say, only to be interrupted by Fury. ''I am sorry, but we have no time to wait for the 'right' moment. We have Starks robot to deal with and one Avenger, arguably the strongest of them all, currently down. Ethen is the only one aside from Thor that can replace the Hulk and now you are telling me to still make a pa.s.s on him? Are you out of your G.o.ddam mind?''

''No, I am not Sir...'' States Natasha inadvertently returning to her emotionless state of mind from before falling for Ethen. ''... It is just, that Ethen has lost most of his powers, including flight and heat vision. He is essentially unarmed.''

''Unarmed my a.s.s, he basically tortured the Hulk with his bare hands...'' Exclaims Furry, seeing the discussion among the lead Avengers and Ethen come to an end.

''As far as I see it that was just a temporary strength boost, Wanda Maximov gave him before the fight. Aside from being indestructible, he is basically a mortal...'' Explains Natasha to Furry, only now discovering the man's huge smile on the man's face. ''... What?''

''You are jealous of the girl.'' Says Furry stating the obvious to everyone, but Natasha.

''No, I am not, it is just...'' Starts the normally cold-blooded a.s.sa.s.sin defend herself, before stopping herself from acting any more childish.

Seeing his friend and subordinate blush feverishly, Nick chuckles before saying. ''Whatever... The mission comes first.''

''Understood Sir!'' Says Natasha saluting Fury.

Seeing Natashas and Fury's conversation comes to an end, Ethen breaths out a sigh of relief, seeing Natashas happy smile.

''Gentlemen, I have bad news...'' Says Fury greeting the heroes. ''... Ultron has taken possession of Dr. Cho and her technology. I reckon that together with the Vibranium from Claw he has already made himself an indestructible body.''

Showing an eager smile, Thor says. ''Destroying something indestructible is a glorious task.''

Being pretty annoyed by his own mistake Tony exclaims. ''I get it walking Loreal commercial, I love destruction just as much as you, but we first have to know what Ultron is up to and where he is.''

''The later is easy to answer...'' Says Thor before explaining. ''... I just ask Heimdal, but to answer the later is up to you eggheads.''

That said, Thor raises his hammer activating the Bifrost before he vanishes in a rainbow colored flash of light.

Looking around his companions, Steve asks. ''So what do we do now? Any idea on how we might destroy the Ultron's plan?''

Shacking his head dejected, Ethen says. ''I am currently nerved and without any weapon, so count me out when it comes to destruction.''

''I might have an idea on how to remedy that...'' States Fury to Ethen, before he tells Stark and Steve to look after Banner and come up with a feasible plan to fight Ultron.

Leading Ethen to the back of his minivan, Fury tells him. ''A few years back, I found some sealed doc.u.ments about a man, a soldier just like Cap, only much older than him. The guy had nothing aside from incredible regenerative abilities and metal claws. Do you know what he did?... He not only killed three battalions of j.a.panese soldiers in WWII, but he also survived the atom blast on Nagasaki. Do you know what that tells me?...'' As he asks that question, Fury opens up the van, showing a fully stocked armory inside. Smirking he tells Ethen. ''... It tells me that with the right tools man with special abilities can do incredible things.''

Seeing the sheer quant.i.ty of advanced weaponry in front of him, Ethen suddenly hears Silvers voice alerting him.

(Silver) ''Components for advanced weaponry detected... 99 weapon blueprint requirements met.''

Seeing the overwhelming amount of blueprints available to him, Ethen is unable to suppress happy laughter. ''Hehehe... Good, very good. Thank you, Fury, I will gladly take your gift.''

Being a little bit creeped out by Ethens crazed smile, Fury asks. ''So high one do you want?''

''Which one? I am taking them all!''
