A Hero's Multiverse 47 Chapter 45: Monitors And Watchers And Deadpool

The Multiverses Nexus a reality in between known parallel universes, such as Earth-1 and Earth-2. This specific Multiversal Nexus was created in the wake of the reborn Multiverse following the events of Infinite Crisis.

The currently occupied by the Monitors and their satellite station, the Overmonitor observes and a.n.a.lyzes variances within the Multiverse; specifically citing instances wherein individuals migrate from one reality to another.

The Monitors themselves are a multiversal race charged with the protection of the Multiverse. During the first multiverse, there were only two, the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor, who oversaw the multiverse and the anti-matter universe respectively. Both were later killed during the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Following the creation of the latest multiverse, a new race of 53 different Monitors is actively trying to protect the multiverse from corruption as a community. As such, each monitor is a.s.signed to its own reality, coordinated by the Overmonitor and they all vary at least slightly in appearance.

The Overmonitor itself is a gigantic vast intelligence in some places also referred to as 'Overvoid'. Having suddenly discovered an unknown variable the intelligence recalled all 53 monitors back to inform the monitors of the threat1 called Ethen.

(Monitor No.1) ''... For an eternity we defended the Multiverse against all kinds of threats. Crisis on Infinite Earths, Zero Hour: Crisis in Time!, Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Flashpoint, Convergence and Dark Nights: Metal. We always pushed through. How is this time any different? Let's just send out the Thought Robot (aka Cosmic Armor Superman) and let it take care of the threat!''

(Overmonitor) ''Threat level of previous Crisis was negligible compared to the current threat. Unable to determine accurate predictions.''

(Monitor No.7) ''I am against sending out the Thought Robot. We don't know enough. It could very well be that the threat only exists because of our interference!''

(Monitor No.37) ''Well said... Do we know who is behind the threat? Anti-Monitor?... Barbatos?''''

(Overmonitor) ''Threat calls himself 'Ethen Wayne', he is the son of unknown versions of Superman and Wonder Woman. Request poll regarding dispatching Thought Robot...''

After a quick poll, the monitors determine Ethen to be too much of a threat, so they send out the Thought Robot to make a more accurate evaluation...

While the Monitors perceive Ethen as a threat to the DC Multiverse and act accordingly, the Watchers of the Marvel Multiverse are only now noticing the changes that Ethens arrival in the MCU has created.

The Watchers are, but unknown to all the oldest species in the Marvel Multiverse committed to observing and compiling knowledge on all aspects of the universe without any interference. This policy of non-interference is mainly due to many well-meaning attempts by some Watchers to bestow knowledge on another race which most often resulted in that race destroying itself.

As the equivalent of the Marvel Universe, the Watchers just like the Monitors have their own Anti-monitor version, the Rouge Watcher Aron. That aside, the Watchers are currently listening to one of their informants reporting.

Wearing a s.p.a.ce suit, Stan Lee tells them. ''I tell you guys, there are changes to the scripts!''

(Watcher No.1) ''I don't see the problem. Stark has unleashed Ultron to the world as he is supposed to, Hydra is beaten for now and the Avengers are still mostly unaware of the threat the Mad t.i.tan and his quest for the Infinity Stones.''

Shacking his head, Stan tells them. ''Yes, I know, but there are changes! Obliged minor once like Hulk now once again being together with Betty, but I fear that there will be bigger once coming... This Ethen fellow already has collected Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Captain Marvel. If this trend continues there will be drastic consequences!''

(Watcher No.1.) ''We currently don't see any problems occurring... Black Widow is never supposed to have a child, the Vision isn't created jet and Captain Marvel is too headstrong to ever make any kind of long term commitment. So we don't see the consequences you speak of...''

Shacking his head Stan tells the big-headed fools. ''I tell you when these changes occur it will already be too late for us to change it back!''

(Watcher No.1) ''We are the Watchers! Since Arons previous interference in the multiverse, our conviction in our policy of non-interference has only risen. The Multiverse has a natural tendency to self-correct... Don't you agree, my fellow Watchers?''

Seeing the two other Watchers nod, Stan says more than dejected. ''I should never have retired from Marvel Comics...''

Just like that, the Watchers decide contrary to the Monitors to not interfere with Ethen or the changes he brings to the Marvel Multiverse specifically the MCU.

While Monitors and Watchers decide on their stand regarding Ethen, a certain head once again awakens after being struck by lightning. Opening his slowly, Wade instantly fully reawakens his consciousness. As he does, new memories surface in his mind. -72 Bian? Body Freezing Spell? Limb Multiplication? Shen Wai Shen Fa (Body Outside of Body)?... Who am I Sun Wukong from Journey to the West? f.u.c.k you au...-

''Hey there...'' Deadpools thoughts are suddenly disrupted by Sharon. Seeing the skull look up, the alternative version of Captain America asks concerned. ''... How do you feel?''

''I feel like being hit by lightning...'' Deadpool tells her before shouting. ''... SHAZAM!''

Frowning, Sharon asks. ''What does that mean?''

Smirking a bit disappointed, Wade tells her. ''Well I don't know I thought it would be fitting with the hole being struck by lightning...'' That said he transforms into Pikapool. Raising his palm he declares. ''By the power of Greyskull!...'' As nothing happens, he gets angry. ''... No nothing? Really? f.u.c.k this! I am out!''

As Pikapool jumps fuming down from the table, ready to leave the infirmary, his collar suddenly shines golden. As the shine spreads all over his mouse-like body, his yellow fur turns golde, his limbs stretch and his ears retract. In only a few seconds the once fat mouse has turned into a still very cute golden monkey.

''What the f.u.c.k!?...'' Screams the now transformed Pikapool, while looking at his humanoid hands in shock. As it slowly dawns on him what is going on, he grins. ''... G.o.ds and Demons be warned. You better hide your peaches, sticks, and delicious chimichangas. The 'Greatest Pool Equal to Heaven' is here!...'' Having announced that, the golden monkey turns to Sharon stating. ''... A beautiful lady like you can still call me Pool, Wukong Pool.''

Before the Greatest Pool Equal to Heaven' can continue flirting with Sharon, Carol and Tonya enter the infirmary looking very concerned.

''What?'' Asks Wukong Pool annoyed that his flirt is cut short.

''I have a bad feeling...'' Starts Carol her explanation, rubbing her painfully hurting head, before Tonya takes over for her. ''... Long story short, we need you to send us to the Universe you send Ethen and the others into...''

Just like that, Carol and Tonya leave Sharon and the narcissistic monkey Pool behind to infiltrating New Kandor without being arrested by Damian.
