A Hero's Multiverse 44 Chapter 42 Absolute Peace

As the armored vehicles come to a stop a man, wearing militaristic combat armor, a hood and a red colored face mask jump out. Surrounded by many full body armors wearing soldiers and heavy machine guns, Ethen knows that none of that can actually threaten him, but they could the woman by his side.

As the man with the red mask steps forward, Ethen get a very familiar vibe coming from him, so he asks. ''Who are you? What do you want from us.''

After talking to one of his soldiers, the Redhood addresses Ethen. ''You are under arrest! We registered an anomaly in the s.p.a.ce-time continuum and you guys have the same radiation as that anomaly...'' Drawing his desert eagle look-alike guns, he further commands. ''... Don't resist... You don't want this to turn ugly.''

Not wanting to risk the woman's lives, Ethen raises his hands in surrender, Wanda and Natasha doing the same. As the soldier close in on them Ethen tells them. ''Don't shoot!''

Stepping in front of Ethen, the redhood removes his face mask, revealing a to Ethe familiar face. Shocked, to see his adoptive brother, Ethen asks. ''Damian?!''

''I am not using that name anymore...'' States Damian Wayne. ''... I now go by the name 'Redhood'.''

Shocked Ethen asks. ''How? Wasn't Jason the Redhood.''

''Don't say that name!...'' Damian shouts at Ethen, slamming the b.u.t.t of his gun against Ethens forehead. ''... Don't you f.u.c.king say his name or it wouldn't be the High Councilor but me who judges you!''

Seeing the most likely crazy Damian, Ethen shuts up to protect his woman. Recalling Damian's strength when hitting him, he slowly realizes, that the hits where abnormally super strong...

While Ethen and the rest are taken into custody by Damian aka the Redhood, the discussions regarding the colonization of Prime are in full swing, as three women and a sleeping mouse a.s.semble around a 3D projector.

''I don't think building the colony like a military base is a right thing to do...'' Says Tonya, seeing Carols proposal for the 'Eden-Colony' they plan to build. ''... It has no style! I admit, that it is cost-effective and easy, but it also leaves no room for improvements!''

''Do you have a better idea?...'' Asks Carol, Tonya slightly offended. ''... And please be practical for once nothing to fancy.''

''You...''States Tonya pointer her finger enraged at Carol.

Before Tonya is able to end her sentence, Sharon Carter jumps in, trying to appease the situation. ''Hey, why don't we combine both of your ideas?...'' Asks Sharon, while highlighting Carol's layout and Tonyas buildings. ''Why don't you do something like that?''

Checking out the new proposed layout of the base, both Tonya and Carol have to admit, that the blond has a valid point.

''Great idea...'' States Tonya before commenting. ''... could have been mine.''

''Year, whatever...'' Says Carl having heard Tonya's comment, before turning to Sharon. ''... So you served in the military?''

Nodding, Sharon tells her. ''Yes, Army Rangers, then Shield and now I am part of the Avengers together with Pepper, Thor, She-Hulk...''

''Funny, when I was still part of the Airforce on Earth, my call-sign was 'Avenger'!'' Comments Carol, Interrupting Sharon's explanation.

Having checked up on the stock of metals the dwarfs are keeping since having to get their hands on the former Helicarrier, Tonya rejoins the two blonds saying. ''Girls we have a problem... We don't even have enough metal to create one building block!''

While Tonya, Carol, and Sharon are confronted by the lack of resources at their disposal, Natasha, Wanda, and Ethen are lead into the tallest skysc.r.a.per in all of New Kandor. Looking just like a sword, it's point facing the sky, the 'Watchtower' not only combined earth and Kryptonian architecture but also acted as a s.p.a.ce elevator. Walking through the impressive entrance, Ethen reads 'Absolute Peace' on a statue of Wonder Woman slaying Ares, becoming the new 'G.o.d of War'.

''Wow!'' Ethen hears Wanda comment, as they are walked over to the huge s.p.a.ce elevator and she looks up seeing the ma.s.sive dome filled with numerous statues of heroes.

Ignoring Wanda comic and Natashas stoic persona, Ethen listens in on Damian talking to a guard.

(Guard) ''Prisoner transfer complete. Thank you for your service Redhood.''

(Damian) ''It's been a pleasure. Where should I deposit them?''

(Guard) ''First DNA testing. Dr. Snow is still working on creating a database using Otherworldlers. Then imprisonment.''

(Damian) ''Haven't seen her for a while...''

Being brought up to the 53 floors, overlooking most of New Kandor, the three of them are lead inside a laboratory, where a nerdy blond, wearing gla.s.ses is working.

Entering the lab, Damian greets the woman. ''Hey Sweety I am back!''

Before Damian can reach, a hand already connects with his helmet, shattering a huge part of it. ''You b.a.s.t.a.r.d! You left me in ve...'' Restraining her rage upon seeing Natasha, Wanda, and Ethan, the apparently Dr. Snow rains in her rage. ''... Who do we have here?

''Who?...'' Asks Damian initially having forgotten all about his prisoners, before finding them behind him. ''... Oh, yes. Fetched them coming through a rift. I guess they are on the other side... Protocol demands DNA testing before they are imprisoned.''

''Okay, let's do this...'' States Dr. Snow, searching for some syringes cursing. ''... G.o.d damm it. I which S.T.A.R. Labs still existed. There I at least found what I was looking for.''

That said, the woman retrieves three syringes after having opened four cupboards already. ''

Without any reservations, the woman instantly starts drawing blood from the women, before failing to do so with Ethen.

''Knew it!...'' Shouts Dr. Snow excited upon seeing the needle deform into an L shape. ''... Metahuman. You must be a strong one...'' Once again rumbling around in the cupboards, retrieving some kind of liquid fluid explaining. ''... 6-V-94-S that should do the trick. We originally used it to operate on the High Councillor to remove the that...''

Suddenly the doctor gets interrupted by Damian. ''Caitlin! These are cla.s.sified information.''

As she places a droplet of the water like liquid on Ethen, Caitlin tells Damian. ''Oh, shut up... he is a metahuman. How doesn't he know...''

That said, to Ethens and his companion's shock Dr. Snow draws some of his blood by pressing a syringe through the droplet and into his body, somehow ignoring his skins invulnerability.

''What is this?'' Ethen asks, talking for the first time since having entered the skysc.r.a.per.

Having drawn a sample of all three, as she places the samples in a machine, Dr. Snow tells him. ''Kryptonian Technologie! 6-V-94-S was invented to counteract the effects of the illegally taken 5-U-94-S. Having shown phenomenal effects of the remnants of the Harley Horde, we....''

As the DNA test results are coming up on screen, both Caitlin and Damian are shocked by what they see. Ignoring Wanda and Natashas inconclusive test result, Ethen's is totally different.

''I have to inform the Lady Diana and the High Councillor...'' States Damian before the swiftly exits the room.

Looking after Damian, Natasha curiously asks Caitlin. ''What is that supposed to mean?''

Shacking her head Dr. Snow only says. ''Oh, you will soon see...''

Shortly after leaving, Damian returns, removing all shackles on the trio, including the suppression collar around Wanda's neck, before leading them several floors up.

Before long they reach what looks like an observation deck overlooking the planet. Standing in front of the huge windows a muscular man and a beautiful but feeble woman hug each other. As Ethen and company are ushered in, the two figures slowly turn around facing them.

Turning around, the woman greats him before the man can. ''h.e.l.lo son...''
