A Hero's Multiverse 38 Chapter 37: Manual Takedown

Back inside the Helicarrier Steve crashes against the winter soldier, removing his facemask.

''Bucky?...'' Crashes surprised, seeing his best friend before he spots the detonator lying on the ground between the stooking p to his friend once again Steve tells Bucky. ''... People are gonna die, Buck. I can't let that happen...'' Bucky stares at him coldly. ''... Please, don't make me do this...'' Seeing his friend won't back down Steve throws his shield at him and they start battling each other. As they fight Steve manages to get a hold onto the detonator, but as Bucky attacks him and it falls from Steve's hand.

While Captain America is fighting his best friend, Ethen, Tonya and Pikapool arrive in the airs.p.a.ce above the three helicarriers. Seeing that most cannons of the carriers are installed on the underside, Ethen has an idea.

''Tonya can you manually hack into the carrier's computers?''

Shacking her head, Tonya tells him. ''No. The controls are an isolated system using a strange algorithm.''

Nothing, Ethen tells her.''Then we will have to do it the hard way and take the carriers down manually.''

''Hey what about me?'' Asks Pikapool, enjoying the view over New York.

Having an evil smile on his face, Ethen asks the mouse. ''How about you support Natasha take down Pierce a Rumlow?''

Remembering the feeling of Natashas b.o.o.bs, Pikapool instantly happily agrees to say. ''Helping her curvy majesty? Sign me up!''

''Good...'' Says Ethen, taking Pikapool from Tonya, before throwing him to the Shield headquarters.

''This is animal cruelty! I will report you to Peta!'' Screams Pikapool as he flies through the air.

Surprised by Ethens swift actions, Tonya asks him. ''Why did you do that?''

''That dam rat always gets in the way, now he can annoy Fury...'' Ethen explains himself before asking. ''... Can you force one carrier down on your own?''

Checking out the scans, Tonya states. ''I guess so.''

''Good. Let's do this!'' That said, Ethen and Tonja raise to two of the three helicarriers.

In an attempt to simply push his carrier down, Ethen instantly crashes through the helicarrier like a bullet. Looking to Tonya, he sees her deploy many small booster rockets, pushing down her carrier with ease.

While Ethen comes up with another way to bring down his carrier, Natasha and Furry arrive via helicopter on the top floor of the Triskelion.

Just as they enter the council chamber, Pierce sets off the pins he gave the council members, including Sharon, causing it to burn deeply into their sternum. Hearing the council members cream out in pain, Natasha and Fury point their guns at Pierce.

Looking from Sharon to Fury, Pierce smirks stating. ''Unless you want a two-inch hole in their sternum, I'd put that gun down.''

As Natasha doesn't want to back down, a yellow furball comes crashing through the 4 cm thick bulletproof gla.s.s.

''Puh?!...'' Says Pikapool, as he still dazed tries to stand upright. ''... I have a problem, I am constantly hearing those voices...'' Shaking his head, his view clears and he sees Pierce holding the kill switch. Looking cute and adorable, Pikapool states. ''... Pika... Pika?...'' Stealthily he draws his two katanas from his back before saying with an evil grin. ''... f.u.c.k Yoda! Maximum Effort!''

That said, Pikapool jumps up, severs Pierce's hand holding the kill switch. ''Uh, I am not sure if the following will approved by Disney...'' Having severed Alexander Pierce's right hand, Pikapool instantly decapitates the leader of Hydra. Having Pierce's severed head fall to the ground, he comments. ''... Sorry, Robert. You should have stayed with the horses...'' Seeing Sharon's surprised and shock, Pikapool once again reverts back to his cute and adorable self as he wipes off the blood on his katanas. ''... Pika. Pika?''

As Pikapool disposes of the Hydra leader, Ethen has a little chat with Silver.

(Silver) ''... Calculations Complete... 0% Chance for bringing down helicarrier without casualties.''

-Okay? How about I simply store the carrier in the storage s.p.a.ce?- Ethen asks her mentally.

(Silver) ''Possible, but Storage s.p.a.ce is not supporting any life form storage.''

-What happens to the carrier crew when I store the helicarrier?-

(Silver) '' Nothing. They simply remain in place.''

-So meaning I will have to save everybody on the carrier... f.u.c.k it I am out of ideas... Why couldn't they construct their doomsday devices more st.u.r.dy?- Ethen complains as he starts storing the carrier in his rings storage s.p.a.ce.

Seeing one helicarrier pressed down by hundreds of little boosters and the other vanish after being enveloped in white light, Steve and Bucky battle is far from over. Bucky stabs Steve in the shoulder with his knife and then grabs the detonator, but Steve manages to get the knife out, grab Bucky by the throat and throws him down, arm locking him.

''Drop it! Drop it!'' Tells Steve his friend, as Bucky continues to hold the detonator firmly in his grasp. Breaking his friend's arm and holding onto his throat until he pa.s.ses out, Steve grabs the detonator, before pushing the b.u.t.ton says. ''It's over Buck, for both of us!''

As the explosion envelops both men and wreaks havoc through the helicarrier, as an energy barrier suddenly envelops the explosion. Containing it before swallowing it, the energy barrier grows bigger and bigger, before it cuts off its Repulsors, instantly sending it to the ground.

Seeing the last carrier suddenly plummeting, Ethen instantly flyes below it, this time thanks to the force field able to carry it without simply going through it.

Despite easily able to lift the carrier, Ethen has a major problem since one of the force fields is extremely slippery. ''f.u.c.k Carol cant you make it less slippery!''

''No, I can't!'' States Carol, flying closer to him, while creating the barrier.

''Well, s.h.i.t. Then I guess I have to be quick...'' That said, Ethen slowly descends into the water, surrounding the Shield Headquarters, before letting go of the carrier. ''... There all good!''

Looking to the third carrier, Ethe shoots two heat vision beams at the already by Tonya suppressed carrier stopping its Repulsors for good.

Close by, Bucky pulls Steve out of the water and drags him onto the sh.o.r.e before turning around, walking away.

Hours later in a hospital, in a room guarded by two armed agents, Steve wakes up in a bed to hear Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man" playing with Sam and Sharon sitting next to his bed.

Days later Maria Hill gets hired by Stark Industries and a badly burnt Rumlow gets treated by doctors at a hospital. Meanwhile, Fury gets rid of any trace of his existence, inc, including his pa.s.sports and eyepatch, burning them and his hiding place.

As Natasha walks away from a committee hearing, that ends Shield for good, she gets an SMS from Fury.

-Target: Bruce Banner CANCELED; New Target: Ethen Wayne-

Having read the Text, a sweet smile appears on her face. Leaving the building, Natasha meets Ethen, Carol, Tonya, and Pikapool before they all vanish into the Multiverse Gate.

Meanwhile in an underground HYDRA lab...

(List) ''It's over. The shield is gone, everything is now public.''

(Baron Wolfgang von Strucker) ''Everything he knows about.''

(List) ''Herr Strucker, if they get word of our work here, if they find out we serve HYDRA...''

Walk over to the corner of the lab where Loki's scepter is being kept, Strucker states ''HYDRA, SHIELD, two sides of a coin that's no longer currency... What we have is worth more than any of them ever knew. We've only scratched the surface and already...'' Walking out of the lab, Stucker further explains. ''... There are other facilities doing HYDRA's good work around the world. We'll feed them to Captain America and his colorful friends. Keep them off our scent.''

Looking concerned List asks. ''What about the volunteers?''

Walking back inside another lab, Strucker tells him. ''The dead will be buried so deep their own ghosts won't be able to find them.''

''And the survivors?''

Looking at a monitor, showing Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, aka Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Strucker contemplates for a moment saying. ''The twins... Sooner or later the Avengers will meet the twins. It's not a world of spies anymore, not even a world of heroes. This is the age of miracles, doctor. There's nothing more horrifying than a miracle.''
