A Hero's Multiverse 12 Chapter 11: Legends And Prophecies

Following the pagers signal, Carol Danvers lands right on top of Shields secret facility outside of New York. Feeling the fluctuations of time, s.p.a.ce and reality inside the facility, she decides to simply walk in. Going down a set of stairs, she is immediately greeted by not only half a dozen Shield Agents, but also one old, eyepatch-wearing grumpy olf man.

''Carol Danvers. As I live and breath...'' Says Fury, still in disbelieve since he never thought he would see her again since she left earth to be with her husband. ''... I never thought I would see you again. Where is your better half Mar-Vel?''

''He died,'' Carol tells her friend, instantly creating a cold gloomy atmosphere.

Surprised Nick doesn't know what to say, so she simply breaks the ice by saying. ''You used the pager. Now I am here. What is going on?''

''Well that is a long unbelievable story.'' Says Nick, happy to see the gloomy awkward wall between them gone.

Smiling Carol tells him. ''I have time...''

While Captain Marvel is investigating Ethen's appearance, a man in question awakens on the right side of the bed, remembering last night, he has a bitter smile on his face seeing Tonja and Pepper cuddling together. Thinking about it now, he knows that neither of the two is most likely meant to be his. Feeling a mild pain in his chest, Ethen decides to get the skull from the kitchen counter and simply sneak away.

All seems to go well until he is discovered by the houses AI.

(Jarvis) ''How may I help you, Mr. Wayne?''

''s.h.i.t!...''Ethen curses, before telling the AI. ''... Nothing. I am just looking for the skull I brought in.''

(Jarvis) ''Oh, you mean Mr. Pool. You may find him in the entertainment room.''

''How did he end up here?...'' Ethen asks, but the Ai remains silent, so he asks. ''... Jarvis?''

(Jarvis) ''Yes, sir?''

''Where is the entertaining room?''

(Jarvis) ''The entertainment room is located in the west wing.''

As Ethen is talking to the house AI, Tonja and Pepper are already awake, having a serious discussion.

''I am going...'' Tonja tells Pepper, freezing her lovers smile on her face. ''... Not only do I want to stay by Ethen's side, but I also believe this is where I am meant to be.''

Saying that Tonja gives Pepper a deep lingering kiss before she stands up. Standing up, she underestimates her soreness and slightly tumbles, a.s.s her feet are weaker than she expected them to be.

Angry about Ethen not only claiming her lover's virginity but also taking her away, Piper tells Tonja shouting. ''What makes you say that? Is it his c.o.c.k? I must say 35 cm is abnormally great, but still, in the end, he is still a man. He will get you hurt if he intends to or not!''

Getting now angry at Pepper Tonja also turns angry. ''I am supposed to be dead, so who cares?''

''I care. Didn't I prove that to you yesterday?...'' Declares Pepper screaming at Tonja. ''... I even got f.u.c.ked in the a.s.s for you...''

Hearing her friends and Lovers words, Tonja regrets having the threesome with Ethen and Pepper, seeing that her secretary now used it against her. Then in her estimation was phenomenal! Not in the, she was heading over heels in love with him or anything.

Still feeling the need to defend her friend, Tonja tells Pepper. ''I think we should break up!''

Having expected to get into an argument with Tonja, Pepper is shocked by her bosses words...

While Tonja and Pepper are breaking up, Carol Danvers, after having been shown footage of Ethen's interrogation, is lead by Fury to the interrogation room. Reaching the doorway, she instantly can feel the anomaly in the fabric of the universe.

Seeing Carol stand petrified in front of the doorway, seemingly contemplating something, Fury asks her. ''Do you feel something?''

''Yes,...''Tells Carol him, as she closes her eyes, to focus even more on this anomaly. Getting an ancient feel from it, she tells Fury, still having her eyes closed. ''Interesting... Interesting, indeed!''

Hoping for some kind of explanation, the Shield Director asks. ''What did you find? Our sensors were unable to pick anything up?''

Opening her eyes, Carol tells him. ''So do I?''

''Great, great, just great. Now, I have one more person to keep an eye on. The only problem being that I don't even know where he is...'' Complains Nick. ''... First Loki and his army of aliens and know this Ethen guy. What comes next? Shield infiltrate by Hydra?''

''I think you are misunderstanding me...'' Danvers tells him, explaining. ''... It is in a way good that I am unable to feel anything from it. That includes the fabric of the universe. The fact, that I don't feel the universe here only proves that there is something...''

Saying that she shoots a Photonic Blasts at the doorframe. To Fury's surprise, the blast hits something in mid-air right inside the empty looking doorframe. As Carol continues to shoot her Blast, she slowly raises its intensity, making it more taking on herself. Just before she has to stop because of fatigue, something becomes visible inside the doorframe.

Ending her Photonic Blasts, both Captain Marvel, as well as Nick Fury, are surprised to find to find a huge seal manifest itself, not only covering the entire doorway, but also the walls surrounding the doorframe, cause of Carol overloading it with her Photonic Blast.

A mat silver in color, the seal shows complex, ever-changing intricate lines on it. Starring at it for nearly half an hour Carol is still able to find new, never before seen patterns appear and disappear, while every patter has something that reminds her of something. After an hour the seals overcharged state seems to have lessened, as it slowly turns transparent. As it does, a familiar pattern appears on it, which reminds Carol of an ancient Kree Legend.

Seeing a flicker of recognition appear in his old friend's eyes, Fury asks. ''What? What did you see?''

Having already turned around, Carol tells him. ''There was this one pattern. I have seen it before in an ancient legend of the Kree. It was a fairy tale and I can't seem to remember it entirely...''

Irritated Fury follows her' asking. ''Where are going then?''

Still moving forward, Carol tells him. ''My s.p.a.ceship. Every Kree ship has an archive onboard, containing every text ever written by a Kree. This way the Kree minimize the risk of losing their history forever.''

''And where is it?''

Finally reaching a door leading outside she tells him. ''As to not draw attention I landed it on the dark side of the moon.''

Annoyed by her logic Fury states, shaking his head in disbelieve. ''You don't want to draw attention, so you park your s.p.a.ceship on the dark side of the moon, but landed on top of a highly secured government facility?''

Looking up into the sky, than to Fury, Carol says. ''Yeah!''

That said, she simply flies off into the sky, vanishing in it...

I the time, it took Carol to overload the seal and recognize a pattern on it, Ethen has already gone to the entertainment room and retrieved a certain talking skull. Wanting to go outside to open a Multiverse gate and be gone, Jarvis, the home AI already ratted him out to its creator. Now Ethen has to face a hurt Tonja shouting at him and an angry Pepper shooting daggers at him with the intention to kill.

''How could you!...'' Shouts Tonja, angry that the man she gave her virginity to was a freaking coward that wanted to sneak away from her. Swinging her fist at his firm chest, she continues. ''... At the very least tell me why?''

Happy to not be hit any longer by her, Ethen tells her. ''I guess I didn't want you to follow me. You see you and Pepper make sense. You and I...''

''We don't...'' Compleats Tonja his sentence, looking less angry than tired.

''And all this matters because?...'' Comments Deadpool before explaining. ''... I mean don't get me wrong I am all for you guys having s.e.x. Maybe you can extract the stick that is stuck up Ethen a.s.s... BUT it doesn't matter. Tonja was supposed to die in the desert. She didn't and now destiny will find a way to remedy that fact... If Tonja stays, she is as good as dead.''

Half an hour later Ethen, Deadpool, and Tonja in completed Mark III 'Iron Maiden' armor leave the Stark Manor and that Timeline for good.

Left alone in the Stark Manor with Tonja gone, Pepper goes downstairs into Tonjas laboratory. Entering it, she is instantly taken aback, as she discovers a purple Mark III Rescue Armor tailor-made for her by Tonja.

While Pepper is finding her armor, Deadpool tells Tonja a piece of information of little significance to him, but huge for Tonja. ''You know Tonja with time Pepper would inevitably fall in love with Happy your driver/bodyguard...''
