All It Takes Is One Night Chapter 26

As Katie walks towards the kitchen she can hear tow people talking, one male and the other female and both voices sound familiar

"Don't worry, I've already fired back, that slimy little b.i.t.c.h won't know what hit her" the female voice says .

"Thank you Cat, and don't worry when mum asks for my opinion in who to set you up with I'll help you out of it" the male voice says playfully

"Thanks big brother and you know I hate that name" the female voice says

'hmm, 'big brother', 'mum' Katie thinks 'oh it must be James and Catherine talking but who is the slimy b.i.t.c.h' Katie thinks to herself as she turns into the kitchen to see two familiar figures, James who is casually wearing black joggers and a navy blue top and Catherine who is wearing a light pink dress which is very unlike her style but still looks gorgeous on her . Katie stands at the entrance of the kitchen for a while starring at the siblings who look so alike and carry a majestic aura around them .

"Hey sister in law" Catherine is first to notice . Ever since James announced their relationship Catherine always calls her sister in law .

"h.e.l.lo Catherine, you look nice and somewhat girly today" Katie teases Catherine before walking over to James who is smiling at her

"Ready to eat?" James asks as he tenderly rubs her hair, the now blushing Katie averts her gaze and nods .

The three of them walk towards the dinner table filled with food and begin to eat . James continuously puts food in Katie plate while whispering in her ear and each time earning a blushing from his girlfriend

Catherine who is opposite them trying to eat her own food can't help but frown, "excuse me, at least wait for me to go before you start displaying your love . And James if you are not careful she is going to burst from blushing too much" Catherine teases with a pout .

"Katie, do you mind me asking about your parents?" Catherine asks out of the blue

"Uhm…" Katie wasn't expecting the sudden question so it takes her a while to respond, "Sure what do you want to know?"

Catherine: "just basic things, like where are they from"

Katie: "well my parents don't really talk about where they are from, all I know is I was born here and grew up here"

Catherine: "oh, what about relatives?"

Katie: "relatives…" Katie slowly says trying to think, "I have an aunt but she doesn't really come around often only when I'm sick"

Catherine: "is she a doctor"

Katie: "I'm not sure; I think she is just medically inclined"

Catherine opens her mouth to ask more questions but is stopped by her brother, "why so many questions? Why you vetting her" James playfully says while laughing .

Catherine gives a warm smile but a sinister look flashes across her eyes which the couple don't see

"Ok, I'm going to leave now . I have business to attend to . " Catherine says as she gets up

"But you haven't eaten and it's late" James said with worry evident in his voice as he stares at the dark sky

"No its okay, I may be back tonight . I'll be fine . Let me give you some alone time with your girlfriend . "

"Okay then just be safe" James says . "I will bye" Catherine says as she walks out the kitchen towards the front door

"You and your sister are really close, it's lovely" Katie says a bit envious of the sibling's relationship . (She is the only child)

"She has been my support system since my illness . I owe a lot to her
