I wondered why when Takatsuki-kun sat next to me, the atmosphere was very serene. Maybe I was imagining things, but I felt that little birds were gathering around Takatsuki-kun. If Takatsuki-kun were to sing a song along with the birds that were perched on his shoulder, it would be like a perfect fantasy world. Surely, if I were playing a fallen tree branch, he would be the beautiful prince singing with the birds in a musical, who everyone would listen attentively to.

"Is Maeda-kun not with you today?"

"Ah, yeah, I had some business to take care of."

I wasn't going to gossip about Akasaki-san's feelings. I wanted to show my sincere feelings to those who were seriously in love. As I was speaking as though it were trivial, Takatsuki-kun tilted his head down a little and I thought I saw something flash through his eyes.
