Thinking about Bluegreen-Clad's words "I'll give you the best," Zheng Xiaoguang flushed with gratification, but then she mocked herself in her heart, "Bah! That's nonsense. I'm about to turn 26. At my age, I should not behave like a young girl and feel so good just because someone said some sweet words to me in a game on the weekend."
"Nowadays, young boys really have high EQ. Maybe that Bluegreen-Clad is just a 17 or 18-year-old boy. I can't be attracted to him because of some sweet words."
"Calm down~ Calm down. I'm mature now. I should keep my cool."
"Xiaoguang, what're you doing here in the ladies' room?" Suddenly, someone patted her shoulder from behind.
Zheng Xiaoguang embarra.s.sedly turned her head to look back. When she saw that it was her good friend Yang Sisi, she breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Nothing, I just stood here in a trance just now."
Yang Sisi rolled her eyes and said, "How old are you now? Can you stop being so dazed all day long? Don't forget about what you're going to do this evening. Behave well!"
"What am I going to do this evening?" Zheng Xiaoguang wondered. When she was about to ask, she saw Yang Sisi staring at her with big eyes, as if she were prepared to stare her to death if she said that she forgot the thing.
Due to this threatening stare, Zheng Xiaoguang finally remembered what she was going to do tonight—a blind date.
"Now you remember, don't you?" Yang Sisi could tell that Zheng Xiaoguang remembered the blind date upon seeing the change of her facial expression, so she added, "Your parents are really worried about you. Look, they even asked me to find a boyfriend to you. Take this thing seriously! Don't keep talking about games during a date like before."
Zheng Xiaoguang ashamedly admitted her mistakes in the past and promised that she would behave well during the blind date and try her best to find a boyfriend for herself as soon as possible.
Zheng Xiaoguang was quite envious of Yang Sisi's good luck. They had gone to the same high school and they had worked for the same company since their graduation from colleges. They were similar to each other in many aspects, but Yang Sisi had much better luck with men. Two years ago, Yang Sisi, who had just entered the company, had gotten married and thus accomplished one of the most important things in her life.
Zheng Xiaoguang, however, had been single for more than a year since breaking up with her last boyfriend.
She did not like to be compared to another person, but her parents kept comparing her to Yang Sisi. They were worried that she would never be able to find a husband for herself if she continued to live like this. Zheng Xiaoguang was also somewhat worried, as many of her schoolmates and colleagues had already gotten married by now.
Zheng Xiaoguang was quite a cute girl. She had a baby face and long hair. Once she put on some make-up and got dressed to look young, many people would believe that she was just 20. She had quite a few admirers, but she just could not decide what kind of person she really wanted to marry.
The man that Yang Sisi introduced to Zheng Xiaoguang for the blind date was her husband's school mate. She spoke highly of him, but Zheng Xiaoguang did not feel rea.s.sured until she met him in person.
"Well, Yang Sisi didn't lie to me," thought Zheng Xiaoguang, when she met the man.
He was a short-haired, handsome young man, who stood more than 175 centimeters tall. As now was summer, he wore a T-shirt and looked neat and fresh. "Uhm, although he's not a hot dude like Li Chengshuo, he is not short or bad-looking. I can try to date him," thought Zheng Xiaoguang.
Thinking about what Yang Sisi had said to her before the date, she did not act casually as usual. She sat silently and smiled slightly at the man, pretending to be a sweet, quiet girl.
The man nodded to her and gently pulled the chair out to take a seat. "Nice to meet you. My name is Tong Xiangyang."
Zheng Xiaoguang pretended to be shy and replied, "Nice to meet you. My name is Zheng Xiaoguang."
As they dated after work, now was around 6:00 pm. It was time for dinner. Tong Xiangyang was nice and asked Zheng Xiaoguang if she wanted to eat something.
Zheng Xiaoguang had heard before that this restaurant was famous for delicious Crab Meat Pots, but as she wanted to behave like a lady today, she ordered a steak instead of a Crab Meat Pot.
"Uhm, I may have to use hands when eating crabs, and now crabs are not delicious enough. I can wait until the middle of autumn," thought Zheng Xiaoguang.
Tong Xiangyang ordered a steak too, and then he asked Zheng Xiaoguang if she wanted to drink something. As Zheng Xiaoguang did not drink wine, he ordered freshly pressed juice.
Zheng Xiaoguang did not like blind dates. Choosing a boyfriend or a girlfriend was very different from choosing a friend. Most of the time, two people just wanted to find out whether they were matched to each other during a blind date. If one failed to impress his or her date during their first meeting, he or she would not be able to date that person again.
"I heard that the probability of falling in love at first sight during a bind date is less than 1%, and I'm never a lucky person. I bought quite a lot of lottery tickets before, but never won anything. My past blind date experiences also proved that I'm not lucky."
With this in mind, Zheng Xiaoguang felt somewhat uneasy and at the same time, she could tell that Tong Xiangyang felt uneasy too. They just asked each other some simple questions during the dinner. She felt that now they were like two people playing table tennis in a totally non-aggressive way. Every time one of them served the ball, he or she would serve it to a point where the opponent could return the ball easily.
Later, when they began to talk about hobbies, Tong Xiangyang suddenly asked, "Nowadays, many young people love to play games. What do you think about it?"
