Hari was peacefully sleeping on his bed suddenly his brows crushed, and he started sweating while clenched the bedsheet nearly tearing the poor piece of cloth. Hari was experiencing the worst of his dreams; it's also the most realist one he's ever had.

He found himself in a zombie world, one-quarter of humanity died while 12 to 15% of dead were turned to Mindless zombies. The sheer gore and bloodshed sent chills down his spine. But the cruelty and inhumane att.i.tude towards a fellow human, especially at times of despair froze his heart while hopelessness loomed over like dark clouds.
Hari could stomach the bloodshed or gruesome but humanity void of morals and such b.e.s.t.i.a.l tendencies projected a bleak future waiting ahead while utter despair enveloped the lone soldier.
Furthermore, Hari was a like silent spectator watching a tragic piece of human history, The end of humanity. Being a quiet observer was worse of torture than really experiencing it; you could do nothing but witness the tragedy unfold before your eyes.
To make things worse, he was the protagonist of the tales. Hari was helplessly watching everything his other counterpart was going through. The Hari of the Zombie world was separated from his family.
His parents in the other part of the city, so he slaughtered through the tides of Zombies across the city, killing far more than what he killed as a soldier. Strangely he was actually stronger than his peak strength, but that was the least of his concern.
After days of travelling miles through the city stepping over thousands corpse, holding on to the blind bleak faith to meet his parents Hari turned into a reckless slaughter machine.
Finally, after untold hardship, he managed to cross the city in one month and met his parents only to find himself one step late.
They were killed by those mindless zombies; he went crazy, killing every last zombie in the vicinity. Then he silently stood near their corpse, hoping for a miracle. A few minutes later his father fingers slightly moved and slowly he stood up shortly followed by his mother.
*thud*
Hari kneed down and cried hard, both his parents moved closer and reached out their hands to him.
"Sorry mom, sorry dad…sorry…sorry...mom"
Hari kept on mumbling over and over while he extended his hands to their neck and snapped. Both his parents transformed into a zombie, and he was forced to kill them.
"Aaaaaaaaa…"
Hari shouted and woke up; then he looked around and let a relieved sigh seeing the familiar room. He was completely drenched in sweat, and a streak of sun rays through the window expelled the looming depressing aura.
"curse that f***ing Zombie s**ting land @#$=$....."
After a long string of swearing, Hari pulled out his mobile and called his mother.
"h.e.l.lo, Ma."
Hari spoke with an inaudible sigh of relief and a small gratified smile for picking the phone this early in the morning,
"h.e.l.lo Hari, is there some problem; did you fight with my daughter-in-law?"
Hari's mother immediately sensed something wrong, just a word was enough for a loving mother.
"Nothing mom, I'm just missing you. It's been a while right...….."
Hari lied throw the teeth, but her voice pacified all the tension build-in, and he had a very long hearty chat with her after a very long period.
An Hour Later…..
In the bed, he was sitting erect with furrowed brows while the legs were patting as though he was suffering from Restless Legs Syndrome.
After talking to his mother, the pressure was released, and the mind cleared. He carefully ran through the dream a few times and found many questionable points.
Firstly, unlike ordinary dreams, he remembers every single minute details. Secondly, it was too real and detailed for a dream; lastly, he had a nagging feeling that it was real.
Then something came to his mind, his last encounter with G.o.d.
"The calamity or apocalypse is fast approaching; it's inevitable and a definite disaster bound to happen.
Experiencing is better than listening. I'll construct a timeline identically to the present timeline, the only difference will be you wouldn't have died that day."
Momentarily Hari got inspired, and everything seemed to fall into pieces. The dream was the alternative reality and earth is going to face such a disaster.
Hari was left in utter despair; instead, his fighting spirit was sparked. He was determined to prevent it from happening; Hari couldn't afford to lose his family.
The dream was more than enough to prove he couldn't handle such loss. He knew this was way over his head, and without other's help, he could possibly change anything.
Hari was just about to call his brothers but Shemo's sound stopped his track. He recalled the incident last night; Shreya was bound to ask him a question, and he too needs to learn about her.
Once again, Hari went into deep contemplation to decide his plan of action.
"Good Morning!!!"
Hari greeted Shreya as he walked out of his room.
"Good Morning!! I thought you wouldn't come out till at all."
Shreya teased him and lighten the mood while Hari gave an uninterested smile; he just had too much in his mind to enjoy bad jokes.
"Shreya we're both connections with Ori realm. We need to share some of our secrets because we can't just live in denial, especially after that incident. Let's share some secrets, information we are willing to let out. Are we in a consensus here?"
Hari directly spoke out without wasting time on setting the mood; which slightly shocked Shreya, but she still nodded in agreement.
"Ummm"
"I'll start; I was a part of the Indian Army, there an instructor took me in as his discipline. Later I learned that he was from Ori Realm and that's my first introduction to Ori realm."
Hari paused, looked into Shreya's eyes. He was obviously waiting for her to begin; from the very beginning, the plan was a mutual exchange of information rather than him spilling all his beans.
Shreya grumpily started, she knew Hari had seen through her plans.
"My Senior brother said that I had great potential and took me to Ori Realm when I was an early teen. I spent more than a decade in Ori Realm before returning to Earth.
In Nalan Research Inst.i.tute, I'm a visiting Professor; moreover, I'm a student at Nalanda University. I think you would have heard about the University, it's the world's first University, and the Dean of our university is one of the Sovereigns of Ori Realm."
Shreya haughtily spoke about her University; she tried to intimidate Hari and scare him.
"I'm a part of Blur Kilns, and I've never set my foot in Ori realm, my teacher said he'll take me there when the time is right. I think it's better to end our exchange here, if you want to know more about me then share a secret of yours in exchange."
Hari stopped there, in fact, all along he waiting for a chance to end the farce. He had his hands full, and this conversion wasn't really taking them anywhere.
Shreya smirked seeing Hari leaving in a panic; then suddenly Hari opened the door and looked inside.
"Yeah Shreya I forgot tell my teacher's name; the people of earth know his as Marshal Jagor Lion while Ori Realm knows as Sovereign Gatekeeper. Bye."
Hari just threw a bombsh.e.l.l before leaving. Shreya was thoroughly shaken and felt stupid.
