"Gray, what's going on? I've never seen you like this, talk to me. I need to know more about this situation, please." She said looking rather afraid.
"It's like a hundred times bad."
"Like I don't know that," Ronnie said pushingly,
"You don't, this goes way over any of our heads. This is out of our league" I mumbled, "they'll send in the big guns. The elite eight would probably be involved."
"Who?"
"Forget I said that, you shouldn't know anything. It's better that way."
"Gray,"
This is one of the moments I wish I was someone else. Life would be so much easier if I was born normal not that mother or my aunts would agree.
Armini was a proud family. They have had a good life thanks to magic. I mean if I had their life I would be happy too. Mother has a fine sixteen-bedroom house with a swimming pool, the designer clothes, and the parties. My aunts with the grand mansion with more room than I could count, the best chef in the world and a private zoo, not to mention the money they have all have deep roots in magic.
For me, life with magic consists of constant loneliness, never-ending problems and money struggles. I could really use a break any day now.
"Can you believe in magic?" I asked,
There was a paused,
"Okay, think like this a lot of people with my ability. Worship her." I explain,"Think a lot of my police over and investigating."
That got her attention. The word high priest may not mean anything but that she understands. I didn't tell her what the council would do to her. To us. To everyone involved. She didn't need to know and if I was lucky it would not happen.
"Never mind, I am fine, now. Has anything unusual happen with her?"
"No."
"Really?"
"Nothing other than she was screaming so high that many of the gla.s.s windows broke. I forgot about that, why did you ask?" Ronnie asked more concerned for the case than on the girl.
It was one of her best qualities and her worst. I didn't know what to say but pulled out a small note paid and wrote on it. The words disappear as soon as I dot the full stop.
