Ore no Sekai Kouryakubon! Chapter 3

[Oh no child, I believe this isn’t appropriate for you…how in heaven’s name did it get here?]

 

I did hesitate on whether to take Siena the fencer or Charlotte the dancer, but I eventually decided on Charlotte. The reason is because of the ‘flag’. It appears to be essential in order to become friends with a girl.

Siena is involved with a man in a pub, and when you slay him to raise Siena’s flag, Charlotte gets killed. When Charlotte’s flag is raised, Siena kills the man and leaves town. It is obvious who to save out of an attractive beauty and a violent person! That also doesn’t mean I’m blinded by Charlotte’s body!

The Goliath town is paved with beautiful stone, which transformed the landscape during the night. The daytime shops have closed, and the area smells of sake and is full of cheerful music. Women tempt men, and men woo the town’s daughters by presenting them with gifts. A town that never sleeps is Goliath’s other face. And, it’s also during the night that people arise from the darkness to act. After I finished eating my meal, I prepared myself and went to a certain place.

『Goliath’s South Side Park.』

I don’t know whether Charlotte is here, but I decided to first go to where the flag was. Finding a person in such a big town in a short period of time is impossible. As I walked alongside the inns near the park, a guard soldier and knight stepped into an inn with a look of desperation on their faces. It appears that something bad has happened. I got a bad feeling, and I quickened my pace through the park and heard the sound of swords clashing in the forest. I will definitely run into Charlotte there!

Four men breathed roughly as they held two blades—each one about 40 centimeters long. Each of the blades that the black hooded men held were daggers, and as blood oozed out of Charlotte’s shoulder on to the the blades, they shone with the light of the little town. Was she cut……shoot! I pulled out my dagger and hurled it at the first man near me.

“Guahh”

Even as the dagger pierced deeply through his shoulder, the man suppressed his voice. They have, after all, received training for a.s.sa.s.sination and destruction. Whipping out my s.e.x sword (1) , I gave a decisive blow to the injured man, rushed up to Charlotte and dealt fatal injuries to the other three. 

“Be careful, they put something on the swords!”

“Roger.”

If she can’t move, then it’s an anesthetic. She would be already long dead if it was a.s.sa.s.sination poison. Even if there are four people here, it doesn’t seem like they have the skill to handle Charlotte. Being careless gets you killed.

“Just rely on me and hold on a little longer.”

“I understand.”

She replied to my words. The guys here are strangely amateurish. I stepped forward, aimed, and slashed at his neck. The man tried to stop my attackit with his dagger, but the s.e.x sword cut through it like b.u.t.ter (2) ,and then through his neck. Oi, oi, it’s rather scary of how sharp this is. This sword really is magic! Caught a little off guard, another person rushed forward to attack.

I lunged forward, dodging the attack by a hair, and sunk my foot into the enemy’s body. After my lunge, I retaliated by stabbing at the staggered man. Fresh blood spewed from his neck as he fell. The blood robbed me of my sight.

As I turned to look towards Charlotte, I used an enemy’s dagger to knock down the person behind her . As I pressed towards the man who had lost his balance, I cut off his arm and threw it in front of him.

“Oi! You have no chance of winning now. If you surrender, I’ll give you medical treatment. Oi! Stop!”

The man grinned while holding where his arm was cut; he appeared to have chewed something in his mouth. The man flopped down. Since Charlotte nearly fell at the same time, I rushed forward to support her body.

“Thank you……”

“Did you……faint a little? I may not be able to take you to Doga’s Inn.”

Taking out a potion from my pocket, I sprinkled it on Charlotte’s bruises, though she had fainted, and then bit her neck to make her an underling. I picked up a dagger and the bag of her belongings I found. I examined the men, but their only belongings were string. Having cleaned up, I will search for an inn now……if possible, one with a bath.

『Book and Dancer』

“Kyaa, where am I……who are……you?”

I woke to the pretty scream of a confused Charlotte. I raised my body from the sofa while swinging the blanket away. Since I had to throw away her clothes that were soaked in blood, her beautiful, charming collar bone was exposed.

“I’m Ed. This is Ramon’s inn. Do you remember yesterday?”

“Uh…….ah! Everyone!”

Springing up, Charlotte ran up towards the room door.

“…..If it’s about the itinerant entertainers, they appear to have been annihilated……”

“That……”

Her body collapsed feebly in the face my posed question.

“Do you know why they were attached?”

“Uhhh…….ah! They were talking about a book. My bag!”

“Did you put it in there?”

When I pointed at the double sized bed, Charlotte jumped at the bag placed there and took out a leather bound book from inside.

“I think it’s this.”

“May I look?”

Seeing that she nodded, I took the book, and when I opened the pages, yeah, I got it.

“This is an architecture book? Why would they……”

“You understand it!?”

“Yeah, since my father was an architect…….”

I at least understood why the dancer Charlotte was the strategist-type. An excellent constructor is also an excellent destroyer, and ones who understand the basic structure of a building can also do so for a castle. To be able to read such a difficult book deserves praise. Moreover……

“Is that so…After the empire which unified the continent collapsed, the lords of each country reconstructed castles and towns on their own. In order to cheer up Charlotte, who was saddened and  shedding tears like rain, I dressed in a jacket after I rang the bell and ordered breakfast from the inn’s salesclerk.

“Eating good food will give you spirit at such a time. I’m going out for a bit. Don’t leave till I return.”

“Uh-huh…….I understand. Ed, thank you. Come back soon.”

“Yes, I’ll return before sunset.”

Charlotte currently needs some alone time, and I should send this dangerous thing to my country quickly. Leaving Ramon’s Inn, I went to Doga’s in a dash.

Signaling to Doga with my eyes, he protested with a displeased face when I entered my room. Was there something wrong? Hmm, I guess it’s because I stayed out without notice yesterday?

“I was worried. One idiot was killed in the bar by a woman. When I heard the news, i thought it was you.” 

Oh, was the one Siena cut an agent……it was along this wierd guide book. I was afraid of that flag…..

“Is that right? That is terrible. Doga, I ran here by foot. Send this book to headquarters.”

“This where……”

“There are also doc.u.ments of Goliath’s town in here. Ask for it to be copied and investigate the underground waterway.”

“I understand. I’ll copy it quickly.

“Afterward, supply me with ten gold coins.”

“……That will be fine. Will you be ready to depart at noon tomorrow?

“I’m leaving right now, though, I can’t go home today.”

Nodding towards me, Doga brought the money. He seems to have misunderstood when he got some useful information. It is completely my own business, yeah? Well, ten gold coins are enough for that book alone. The rest of the payment will be reported to headquarters.

Nevertheless, the construction book was saved. I don’t want to show another person the guide book. I saved the ha.s.sle by reporting my investigation myself. However, the reason Charlotte was attacked wasn’t because of the guide book. Although『Event item』was written as an obtained flag achievement, maybe that was the construction book.

Well, I shall now go and collect the magic item!”

『Big Sister’s Store』

When the heroine’s flag was achieved, her equipment seemed  to be at Big Sister’s store. The store building was all decked out in  flashy pink and there were a lot of flowers planted in flower beds. Nevertheless, I felt a chill here, but was it just my imagination?

“Welcome!”

“Uhh……”

A big, tall man wearing frills was helping guests while twirling. I felt sick and wanted to throw up, but……this shop is alright…….beautiful women’s clothes were displayed in the shop, but I’m somehow concerned about why a man is caring for the visitors.  Maybe, a girl gave him the clothes. That must be it. Ah……that’s it!

“Huh? You have a good eye, don’t cha? It is quite pretty—one of my prized items.” (The man uses watashi.)

The store’s storekeeper brought his face close with a sway. Even though I felt sick, my hands unconsciously readied my sword! I could have chopped him!

“Scary, scary. Oh well! I wonder what sort of visitor would settle on these clothes.”

A 『Fairy Gift』improvement with the big sisters’ wonderful taste of 『White Bikini Armor』 improves magic protection. The slit of the skirt is cute, a little too much exposure for dancer’s clothes, though. Honestly, from just seeing them, I think he has a good sense of style. Also, since there are some adorable boots included, I want to put these onto Charlotte! Incidentally, the『White Bikini Armor』seems to be displayed just as the guide book had chosen for Siena.

“How about ten gold pieces?”

“Ten gold pieces! Gracious, to set a price on me! Ufufu.”

Was it not for the price of the clothes? Can I get angry? It’s fine, yeah? As an angry mark appears on my temple, the big sister stuffs the cute 『Fairy Gift』with some clothes and underwear, and alongside that, he even threw somewhat good mantle martial for me. Will he even make a profit if he adds this much in?

“It’s fine. If a person can see my effort, then I’m fine with it.”

Big sister is an okay guy, but……quit blowing kisses! I handed ten gold coins over to him and left the store. Although I got a bit irritated with the store, it is great to have gotten this!

Well, should I go back to Charlotte? I’m a.s.suming the cute dancer will comfort me a lot tonight! I took light steps towards Ramon’s inn!
