I was just taking a walk around the village after cooking dinner but then I saw that your fields are on fire, I knew that you will blame me, that's why I ran away because I didn't want to get in trouble for something that I didn't do."

" I said no, Wan Wan," Lin Yan dragged Su Wan back as he looked at Xin Shi who was pretending to be the victim despite being the one who ruined their fields. He looked at the two guards and said, " Bring her with us, we will see what the village head says, since she is willing to do it then I want to see how long can she hide it."

" What do you mean by bringing me to the village head, I have done nothing wrong!" snapped Xin Shi as she was pulled to her feet by the two guards who raised their brows when they noticed just how lively Xin Shi was being now. A second ago when they caught her she was acting like they have hurt her really badly but now she was shouting and screaming like she was all right. The two looked at each other and shook their heads—— really the women in the village were just as bad as those scheming concubines in the palace, if anything they were worse daring to commit arson as such.

" We will see whether the village head and the others think so too," said Lin Yan as he coldly glared at Xin Shi whose mouth got zipped under his raging glare.
