Seeing the old man, Cain sighed with relief and spoke with a nostalgic smile on his face. "Duke Flamel, you look younger than we've known you twelve years."
"Don't call me Duke, you know you can call me Edgard or rather, call me Grandpa since I'm your mother's father," Edgard said looking at his grown grandson a satisfied smile on his wrinkled face.
Suddenly Edgard's red eyes fell on Sakuya who was behind Cain looking at him with curiosity.

"You have a great lady of blood, my grandson. A skill too rare to appear in humans." Edgard spoke looking at Sakuya with a surprised look in his red eyes. Unlike the other races in the world, humans aren't born with talents, they're acquired with training and a little luck.
"My grandson, you already have a blood lady at that age, you gave pride to this old man. At your age, all the women were in love with me just by seeing my face. Unfortunately, your grandmother stole my heart and I didn't have time to have fun. So use my teachings wisely." Edgard spoke a voice full of sorrow as he looked at Cain with pride and satisfaction.
Hearing his grandfather's words, Cain felt a pair of eyes behind him staring coldly at him. He soon knew that Sakuya was looking at him with their blue eyes.
"Come, let me see how you've grown," Edgard spoke to Cain as he walked slowly down the long dark corridor with no window.
Cain just sighed and went after his grandfather. Sakuya remained silent as she followed in the footsteps of her master. Leaving the Palace the three of them arrived at a magnificent mansion and soon inside the mansion Cain saw a large training field made of white marble.
Edgard walked to the center of the training camp and stood with his hands on his back as he looked at Cain with a funny smile on his face.
Cain even though he knows he won't touch Edgard with a finger, he'd still like to test his limits more surely than to risk his own life in a risky fight.
Cain materialized in his hand a golden sword and pointed to Edgard while showing a face full of seriousness. On the cold blade, dozens of runes glowed softly as if the sword itself had enlivened with the next fight to take place.
"Is this golden sword familiar?" Seeing the golden sword in Cain's hand, Edgard spoke looking carefully at the golden sword. From that sword, he felt an extremely strong danger that could kill him at any moment his grandson wished.
"Yes, the sword of the Persian G.o.d of victory, the invincible warlord, Verethragna. appeared in my soul when I awoke." Cain spoke looking at Edgard with the serious expression, he has no idea why that weapon appeared in his soul, but he won't let such a powerful sword stand inside him.
Hearing Cain's words, Edgard rolled his eyes in shock and knew immediately why he found the golden sword familiar.
The shadow of a handsome man with long black hair and red eyes wearing a Black armor with a torn red cloak on his back overlapped in the shadow of his grandson and he saw the same image the first time Edgard saw the battlefield, a glorious king commanding an army of immortals.
"Cain Tepes Scarlet, from now on, you will stay at my mansion to train for two years," Edgard spoke looking seriously at Cain. With this sword in Cain's hands, it won't take long and he'll be recognized quickly as a descendant of his master, so Edgard decided to train Cain to at least have an adequate level of security.
Cain would clearly not refuse to be trained by one of the most powerful monsters on the continent and accepted with a cheerful smile on his lips.
"You look happy, my dear grandson. Unfortunately for you, h.e.l.l will be starting from now on." Edgard spoke disappearing from where he was and reappeared instantly beside Cain as he gently placed his hand on his shoulder.
At the moment Edgard's hand touched Cain's shoulder, the white marble floor was totally destroyed and a crater twenty meters deep appeared in the place where Cain was standing.
At the bottom of the crater, Cain was lying on the ground spitting blood out of his mouth as he looked at his grandfather in shock and a touch of fear appeared deep in his eyes.
Cain did not see, feel, smell or even hear anything, only in a thousandth of a second he was on the ground spitting blood out of his mouth.
"Get up, we have all night to train your reflexes," Edgard spoke looking coldly at Cain at the bottom of the crater and saw his grandson's face showing a look of fear, but he also saw the determination to stay strong.
Hearing his grandfather's cold words, Cain rose from the floor and wiped the blood from his mouth as he jumped out of the crater.
"Let's go again," Cain spoke to Edgard as he again positioned the golden sword against his grandfather.
# Wall being destroyed
Before Cain realized it, he was already trapped in the wall spitting blood while looking at Edgard full of incredulity who was smiling calmly.
"Again!" Cain spoke landing on the ground and this time he ran straight to Edgard who just lifted his finger and pointed at Cain.
"Flash..." with Edgard's calm words, a beam of black light came out of his finger and instantly crossed Cain's thigh that made him fall flat on his face.
"Cain, in those first few months of training... I'm going to make your body get used to feeling the danger, and when you're in real danger, you won't even have to think about dodging, your body will do it for you." Edgard spoke by looking seriously at Cain who only showed a helpless smile by listening to his grandfather's words.
"Get up, the night is far from over," Edgard told Cain that he got up from the ground and was in the same position as before.
