"What happened?" I asked Esmeraldo. He looks the same as my brother but in the sight of less dying than Anahaw.
He sighed and looked at my brother. "Anahaw and I decided to split up for a day and then after that, I heard noises to the opposite of my direction at the back of the mountain where Anahaw's path is. My men and I run and climbed to look at it and the only thing we saw is our men and Anahaw lying on the ground. Some of our men were grunting but fortunately, most of the enemy's men died. I saw back ups and shot them down. I immediately told everyone to retreat because Anahaw wouldn't wake up."
I looked at Breath and she looked down. I couldn't bring myself to be happy right now and I don't know why. All I feel is worry on my brother and nothing else. I can sense that he is in a very miserable state right now. I can see the paleness of his face and the dryness of his lips that turned into purple.
I looked around. "Where is Magnus?" I asked Esmeraldo.
"He's at his room. He's also injured. Before Magnus became truly unconscious,he told me something about magic." he replied.
"Magic? What magic?" I asked and he shrugged.
"I have no idea what that is but I can feel that it has something to do with what happened to them." Esmeraldo said and squinted, he is still in pain. I told to Breath to tell the maids to cook food for our men, she nodded and went out. I told Esmeraldo to rest and we'll talk tomorrow then I went inside Magnus' room.
"Y-your majesty."
"Don't! Don't sit down. Your wounds aren't fully healed yet. I'm glad you're awake." I said. He sighed and looked at the ceiling.
"I was hoping you will see me in a good condition when we come back, beating all of our enemies and such, but as you can see, I look so bad right now." he muttered. I smiled a bit.
"How is Anahaw?" Magnus asked and looked at me. I can see the worry on his face.
"He is not very well right now. Esmeraldo told me that you said something about magic." I replied. He became more serious.
"I saw it. The enemy has some dark magic in them. I couldn't believe it at first, but I saw that he put some dark energy in Anahaw and your brother became ill and unconscious." he said. "I wasn't able to do anything because they trapped us in some sort of fire that is color blue. After that, all I know is i'm back in my room, feeling terrible. The enemy's men are weak if their magic is not present." he added.
"I see. Rest now and i'll tell someone to bring you food here." I said.
Before I went out, I heard him call my name.
"Everything that I said is true." he said. I nodded and went outside his room.
I looked at the others and saw that some were fine and alive but some are injured and some are dead.
I immediately went to Anahaw's room when the morning came and Lance told us that there is something weird inside Anahaw's body. His physical injuries were healing but he still isn't waking up. Maybe this really has something to do with what Magnus said.
"Why is my brother still not waking up?" I asked. Magnus, finally back on his feet, did not answer same as Breath and the others.
"I'll bring Louie here." Esmeraldo said. Louie is one of the village's weird doctor that believes in magic and stuffs. I frowned and Esmeraldo saw it.
"We need to try everything, Chrysanthemum." Esmeraldo added and went out with Guidon.
"Who would believe him?!" I asked, arguing with Esmeraldo in the other room.
The doctor, Louie, told us that in order for Anahaw to open his eyes again is that if we find his true love and kiss him within 3 days. He told us that it isn't an ordinary illness but a curse. Who in their right mind would believe that thing?!
"I-I don't know! But we don't have any choice! Lance can't find anything wrong in Anahaw besides from his physical injuries. Maybe we need to believe!" Esmeraldo argued.
"If this didn't work, I swear i'll punish Louie because of you." I muttered.
After we both finally calmed down, we decided and went back to Anahaw's room.
"But, who is Anahaw's true love anyway?" Magnus asked. I remembered that all I heard from Anahaw is his adventure stories, I can't remember a single thing where he told me anything about his love or his love interest.
I realized, I know nothing about my brother's true love. This is harder than I thought.
