Amongst the group of eighth graders, Peach appeared especially pet.i.te in terms of height. As Shen Mochen's cla.s.s, Grade Eight Cla.s.s Two, was on the third floor, Peach climbed up the stairs without a word. The students who pa.s.sed by her after school could not help but cast her curious glances.

At the entrance of Cla.s.s Two, Peach realised that there were still many students in the cla.s.sroom, unlike the seventh grade cla.s.srooms where there was basically n.o.body by this time.

Standing outside the cla.s.sroom, Peach looked inside, her eyes sweeping across rows of unfamiliar faces before finally spotting Shen Mochen packing his bag in the penultimate row of seats in the cla.s.sroom.

As if feeling Peach's gaze on him, Shen Mochen looked up and turned to look out of the cla.s.sroom, before looking down and continuing to pack his schoolbag. When he had finished packing, he sauntered out of the cla.s.sroom and briskly said to Peach who was waiting for him, "Let's go."

"Okay." Peach naturally ran over to Shen Mochen, and reached out to hold his arm.

There was a sudden collective gasp in the cla.s.sroom behind them.

Shen Mochen glanced down at Peach's hands which were holding his arm tightly and begrudgingly sighed, "Peach, we're in school."

"Huh? What's wrong?" Peach blinked at him with her innocent big eyes and looked at him strangely. "We also did this in school back in elementary school."

"We're in middle school now." Shen Mochen reached out and knocked on her head. "Be careful not to be caught by the Devil Teacher from the Students' Affairs Office. She's an expert in catching puppy love amongst students. If you get caught, she'll call your parents."

"Then why would you ask me to wait for you outside your cla.s.sroom." Peach quickly withdrew her hands, and threw him a derisive look while rubbing her head that hurt from his knocking.

"The two students in front, stop right there!"

A stern voice rang out from behind Peach and Shen Mochen.

Speak of the devil.

Glancing at Peach who was standing next to him, Shen Mochen was a little speechless. It was only the first day of school and the Devil Teacher was already so diligent?

Feeling nervous, Peach involuntarily tugged at the hem of Shen Mochen's clothes.

The Devil Teacher actually looked like a very amiable old lady, almost like the cartoon old lady in the television advertis.e.m.e.nt for melatonin. However, as the saying goes… you can't judge a book by its cover.

Although the Devil Teacher looked very kind, she was relentless in enforcing the school's motto and discipline. Sometimes, she would overcompensate, so much so that as long as she saw a boy and a girl walking together, she would approach them to interrogate them.

Shen Mochen and Peach turned around and came face to face with the Devil Teacher standing in front of them. Both of them appeared calm.

"Shen Mochen?" A look of surprise crossed the Devil Teacher's face. She knew of him. Not only was he always the top scorer in the level for every examination with all the teachers liking him, he was also very handsome. Although there were many young girls who had a crush on him, he usually did not like talking to others and kept to himself. Hence, the Devil Teacher once lamented that it would be great if every student was like Shen Mochen.

Yet, at this moment, Shen Mochen was walking hand in hand with a little girl. Although she only held his hand for a brief moment, the Devil Teacher still caught sight of it with her sharp eyes.

"What's your name? Which cla.s.s are you from?" The Devil Teacher's glare landed on Peach who was standing next to Shen Mochen. Extremely pet.i.te, Peach still looked like an elementary school student with an apprehensive expression on her face.
