Rewrite System 33 Madness

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

A crowd of students circle around two boys exchanging fist while cheering. The two boys are fast and their punches are strong but they are fighting on equal ground.

*Swoosh*

"Eat fist, milk drinker!" The brown hair and eyed boy yell as he deliver a wide swing but his opponent quickly crouch down.

"Humph, you missed d.a.m.ned street rat!" Mocked the other person with glossy blonde hair and blue eyes before charging forward.

*Swish*

"Tch!"

"A hidden weapon?! Just how lowly can you get you disgrace of a prince!"

The brown haired boy cursed as he barely evade the blade of the shiv his opponent used and quickly make distance between them, he was about to charge back in but at that moment a heavy pressure befell both him and his opponent as a heavy voice boom out.

"Who dare make trouble here?"

The surrounding crowd then step aside, making a path for the owner of the voice. That person then walk into view, he is a 124cm tall dwarf with broad muscular body painted full of battle scars. His stern eyes stare at the two boys at the center before sighing and said.

"Lucas, Caesar, come with me." After saying so the man then turn around and walk away, behind him both of the boy follow along while glaring daggers at each other.

Later they arrive at the office, the moment the door closes the man spoke.

"Do the two of you know the consequences of fighting in school?"

Hearing his question both boys lowered their heads but still glaring at one another

"Your points are insufficient and you two should be expelled because of this event, but I am willing to overlook this if you two agree on entering this." As the man spoke he took out a pamphlet from the drawer of his desk and put it on the table.

Lucas then walk closer and take a look at it and his eyes turn wide seeing it.

"This... This is... The tournament?!"

At the same time at a secluded corner somewhere in the academy, a little girl could be seen talking with a cloaked figure.

"You are late! Why haven't you report the last three months?" The girl exclaim towards the figure.

"What do you mean you can find him? Isn't he at the Craftsman City?" Frowning, the girl asked the figure, even though there's no sound the cloaked figure seems to be replying to her.

"The last information you had is that he went to a dungeon by himself and now you're telling me that the dungeon is being reinvestigate? What do you mean by that?"

"Sigh... Well you did all that you could, even though you couldn't get any of his stuff it was only secondary objective. Here, the payment as promised." With that the girl handed a coin purse to the other party, after the clocked person received it they quickly vanish into thin air.

After a while the girl started walking towards the dormitory with a dejected look.

"Sigh.... How am I gonna say this to Luna..."

"Haa... Haa... Haa..." With ragged breath I keep running through the dim cavern, from behind me many sound of barking and growling could be heard.

[Two wind bears detected from the left and right path, seven fire hounds detected from the center path.]

"d.a.m.nit, to the left path!" Turning to the left path I am greeted by two green furred bears, the moment they saw me they let out a mighty roar.

"Coming through!" Ignoring the first and jumping over the claw swipe of the second I keep running forward, soon I could hear the bears fighting against the stupid pack of hounds that chases me.

I run a few more miles before quickly finding a spot to hide, after looking around I decided to hide behind a group of rock at the side and directly just behind it.

The moment I could see the area behind the rocks I could feel my tears swelling up because something suddenly appear at the same time as my system resounded.

[A thunder serpent detected 14 meters ahead, late detection at critical range, battle imminent!]

the serpent is only newly sp.a.w.ned but it doesn't change anything as the moment it notice me it quickly jump and slid it's body around me before snapping me like a twig.

The next time I woke up, I'm in a dark slimy and a bit squishy place with a weak acidic smell. Ah f*ck it, yes I am inside it's stomach.

After briefly checking my map I put a hand on the meat surface and activate [essence extraction]. The moment I did the serpent I am in started hissing and thrashing about for couple of minutes until it finally stopped and turn to light particle.

[Living thunder serpent absorbed, 2854 RP, 21 thunder essence, 20 life essence, 3 darkness essence, 15 beast essence received.]

"Ugh... Yet another day in this h.e.l.l hole." I complained while laying down, digesting the fact I am alive even after being killed who knows how many times down here.

"Well, time to hunt again." Standing up, I opened the map in full-size and try to find small group of enemies.

This is basically what I do day by day this last... Uh... Two? Three? Anyway it's what I've been doing while I'm stuck here. At the start it was way more awful then now, I keep getting nibbled off by the hounds and have to make my way out of it's stomach again and again.

Soon the pack that first caught me choose to abandon me since I keep being undigested, loosing RP from dying is sad but somehow killing them by reviving still give me RP, just not exp. After exploring for a while I managed to find and retrieve my knife and sword but sadly I was caught by a bear.

I don't know how many times I got owned before I start using [Rewrite] increase my status until I can fight off the stupid hounds, they give plenty of exp or I am just too weak but anyway soon if I ever get killed by them it's just not worth it anymore since I lost more than what I gain.

So to solve that I start getting owned by the bears, it's honestly a stupid tactic but after a while I can finally take on the bears. Oh you must be wandering about the serpents, well I met them after I delve even deeper into this cave.

Buuuuut but but b.u.t.t, unlike the bears and hounds they don't die by the time I wake up in their stomach and if I stayed too long I'll die again from being digested.

SO! How did poor poor me able to survive? Well the answer is simple, I tried everything in my a.r.s.enal to escape hahaha, thankfully the [essence extraction] actually could work on living beings, just that it would take some time and the process wasn't pretty.

As I am kind and smart and bored, let me tell you how it went. First the skill would suck every life out of the target, at this moment your target would experience rapid aging and extreme pain. Second the skill would suck and separate the essence of the target, from outside view it would look like the old shriveled corpse would look at it's moisture and fat until it look like some kind of mummy. Lastly the skill would decompose or quicken the process of target returning to mana, it means the light show thingies, usually those corpse/items would slowly decompose before turning to dust right? Well that's just it basically, just instantaneously and leave no dust behind.

Oh yeah, while I'm free I should distribute some points. Thinking that I activate [Rewrite] and start distributing points here and there except towards charisma.

Oh... I forget to mention, after the upgrade leveling up bonus actually increase to 10 every level, quite useful actually.

After looking at my status I quickly stop and turn around, pointing at the person beside me who is my bestest friend here.

"Don't you dare laugh about what just happened, yes I can't handle more than 5 hounds at a time, yes I can't handle more than 2 bears at a time and yes I can't face the stupid slippery thing in close quarters but at least I am not stuck on the wall like you!" The person I'm pointing and yelling at is also pointing at me currently, yes it is my shadow and I am proud to say he is most loyal and never abandoned me even once, unlike help from above that never came.

In my past life I remember some people say talking to yourself is sign of madness but no! No no no no no no, it is not I a.s.sure you! Look at me now, I'm perfectly sane right? I didn't start murdering people, I didn't become a psychopath, I didn't become a cannibal, no I didn't become anything harmful.

In this cold, damp and dimly lit bottom of the dungeon I only hunt monsters, I only eat some of their meat, I just sometimes bath in their blood, I just skin and wear some of them and maybe sometimes i play them to death but I am completely harmless, I swear!
