At this moment, Lily, who had tried to hide her presence by blending in, suddenly stood up. She was afraid, but as member of the Renitas family, she had to be brave.
Luke saw the girl suddenly stand up and sneered. "You... you are the worst b.i.t.c.h of the lot! Your family is the richest in the city, privileged since birth!"
Suddenly his second card glowed and it tried to engulf Lily in order to explode. But Lily took out a card that her dad had given her to use if she was ever under threat. The card was gold in color and had the image of a wall embossed on it.
Lily activated the card and it automatically floated in the air and then a gold particle wall suddenly collected around Luke and began solidifying, turning him into a statue. He got enraged and decided to escape. He used the one time use escape card in his possession, but the gold particles wouldn't allow him to leave.
He teleported but only reached the door. Meanwhile, his blood vine slapped the only unoccupied special department member onto the wall and Luke wabted to run away, but the gold particles wouldn't let him leave.
So he used the second blood battle card on himself and parts of his blood exploded, removing the gold particles from his body. He survived, but now he needed to absorb blood to refresh. He vomited black blood as he once again drew his vine card, which was heavily damaged to absorb Lily, who was on her knees after using such a powerful one time use card.
"Even if I die today, I will kill you!" Luke coughed out the words with blood.
However, at that moment, his body exploded, not once, but thrice. Luke felt the life leaving his body, as his cards disintegrated signaling the end of his life.
The explosion engulfed him and turned him into dust. Even in death, he wasn't able to see who killed him. From behind his disintegrating body, Alex appeared, blood seeping out of his lips for using so many explosion one time use cards at once.
He looked around and saw that all the other scarlet tide members had been captured or killed. He slumped down along a wall and sat down with his legs opened out. Then he looked at the sky and breathed out.
Meanwhile, the school was shaking from the horrific battle taking place on the ground floor. After a few minutes, the battle was over. The students slowly came out in shock, looking around in dismay and horror. But there was also relief that the ordeal had come to an end.
Alex was looking at the splattering of blood around the place, shaking his head. He stood up and walked out. The other members of the special department saw him and patted his shoulder.
"Lad, we all saw what you did from the outside. Without your help, I don't know how many more lives would've died." One of them said.
Alex nodded, while some students nearby were shocked by what they heard. "Still too many people died." He said.
Alex and the other students quietly exited the premises in an orderly manner to get emergency health check ups and treatment.
Along the way, Lily walked up to Alex. "Where had you disappeared? You weren't among the students when we were put up together. I thought you might've been one of the hooded crazies."
Alex sighed. "Long story. By the way, your friend from that day, Min, is one of the hooded creeps."
Lily was stunned. The two quietly walked along and quietly exited the school and were receiving treatment. Several were pulled off in ambulances.
At that moment Old Ren and Will came to talk to Alex.
"Kid, you did a good job." Old Ren said, looking at Lily.
Will also spoke up. "Alex, you have an incredible talent in stealth operations. You performed really well under incredible pressure today. I will suggest you for a hero's medal."
Alex shook his head. "I thank you for the honor, but at this time, I do not wish to be under attention of others." He said.
Will smiled. "Alright, your contribution will still be noted. It will be helpful to you in the future. After the high school exams, you can directly join the special department as a trainee."
Lily, who was not far from Alex, heard Will's words and was stunned. What exactly did Alex do?
Old Ren saw Lily and sighed. "Kid, good that nothing happened to you."
Lily smiled. "Luckily I am fine. Grandpa, what did Alex do?"
Grandpa Ren had a bitter smile. "The entire school had been quietly sealed, and there was know we we could have even realized that something was going on. Luckily that servant of mine was clever." He pointed at the huge writing on the rooftop of the school. "He also did a lot of other things. You can ask him later. He saved a lot of lives today."
Lily was shocked. "It turns out."
At that moment, the teachers also came out. They looked traumatized while being led by Alex's homeroom teacher.
Clarence teacher walked out looking for Alex. She was shocked by the actions of her student. When she found Alex she walked up to him.
"Alex, you saved us all today." She said.
"Clarence teacher also helped out." Alex nodded.
"Kid, the card tutor had marked you as a hopeless case for making cards? Were you hiding your strength?" She asked.
"Not at all. I have just begun forging the seed." Alex said.
"The tutor is blind." The teacher shook her head.
Alex laughed and said nothing.
The school had been shut down for a couple of weeks following the incident. A huge furor had occured in the news world. The Government increased a heavy focus on eradicating the Scarlet Tide as well as improving protection at schools.
Many students had lost their lives, especially at Luke's hands. He was extremely vicious and tortured many students as well. His parents had been shocked in disbelief and humiliation when they heard the deeds of their son.
