He hadn't said a word to me which was strange but I didn't bother to deal with his mood swings right at the moment.
Dylan was such a drama queen.
I turned away, going to close the door of the bedroom but he was behind me making me yelp and narrow my eyes at him. His brown eyes staring at me as I shoved him away.
His eyes have never been brown...
They've only been green or black...
"Can you go, Dylan? I don't want to deal with you right now!" I yell at him, the door to our bedroom open as Sevetha walked by with a man on her arm. She smiled softly at me when I nodded to her, the door slamming shut by Dylan as I spun around to face him. "Don't be an a.s.shole, Dylan! Just go away!" I yell at him, knowing they'd hear me but not caring.
He was being so... weird.
Before I realized what happened, he threw me against the bed making me yelp and scramble off of it on the other side. My eyes watched him frantically as he bared his fangs at me and marched on the other side of the bed.
"Dylan! Get away from me!" I scream, reaching for my blade but he caught me and tossed me against the wall. His dark brown eyes watching me, blood running down my jaw when moving my shoulder.
I cried out, realizing my arm had dislocated it when he threw me. My eyes snapped to him once he started moving closer to me, his deadly walk towards me making me shiver in fear.

"Are you hiding your mate from me or something? Where is the la.s.s that's got you in such a bad mood?" Mother questions, looking around for Khole as I sipped on a gla.s.s of wine and peered over at the castle.
When I went to find her, she'd been taking a shower and Agalana had told me she was going to sleep early tonight. That is if she truly could have a good night of rest.
"She is in our room. She isn't feeling all that well, so she's getting some rest early." I told her truthfully, worried for my Valkyrie's wellbeing but knowing she'd only order me to leave. Or throw me out the window...
"That won't do. I am never here and this is my first time meeting her. I must see the woman with my own eyes." Mother waved off, starting towards the castle as I hurried after her and grabbed her arm.
"She really isn't feeling well, Mom," I tell her again.
"Is she pregnant?" Mother questions making me flinch away and shake my head quickly.
"No! What makes you think that?!" I yell at her as she shrugged and skipped inside the castle.
"Then there is no excuse why I can't see her. She's immortal and will recover from whatever she's going through." Mother points out cleverly when we pa.s.sed by one of the twins and a demon general. The twin tilted her head at me, squinting her eyes at me before stopping midway down the stairs.
"How did you get down here before us?" She questions me, making both of us stop and look at her stupidly.
"What do you mean? I've been down here all afternoon." I said incredulously when the demon general, Linoh, shook his head and patted her hand.
"No. We just saw you with the princess moments ago. You seemed fairly angry since she was undressed with the door opened." Linoh notes making all of us share a look before a scream came from above.
I darted up the stairs as quickly as I could, barging into my room and seeing a man above Khole who was struggling underneath his hold. The man looked like... me.
"GET OFF ME, DYLAN! GET OFF!" She screamed, lightning flashing outside when I felt my demonic shift awakening. I roared, lunging towards the person and throwing him to the ground as my Khole covered her naked body with the sheets.
He'd tried...
I felt myself losing control, knowing I wouldn't get back in control until I had his head on a stake.

I watched in disbelief as two Dylan's fought one another, the only thing distinguishing one another is that one was shifting and one wasn't. My heartbeat felt like a shotgun, the lightning outside brewing in danger as Dylan threw the brown-eyed Dylan into a wall.
All of this was so crazy that it hurt my head terribly.
Knowing it was a pathetic move, I covered my face with the covers trying to not think of what was happening as the men fought each other. Praying that Dylan would be okay.
"Son! Let me deal with the shape-shifter! Let him go!" An older woman yelled, snarls and blood littering the air as I cowered underneath the sheets. There were growls and curses outside of the blanket but I refused to show myself.
The door slammed shut before the sheets I was hiding underneath were ripped away making me cry out and grab at them again. I clenched my eyes shut, trying not to face the angry man staring down at me.
"Did he hurt you?" Dylan grated out, grabbing my face and inspecting it with tenderness in his eyes. I leaned into his hands and meekly nodded.
His dark green eyes watched me closely, his horns still straight from the fight and his claws black with darkness. I felt myself tearing up at the sight of him, hating that I somehow caused him problems.
Feeling him so near brought such emotions that I couldn't hide in the light as I did in the dark. It felt like I was going to break down even if I willed my mind to stay strong.
"Where did he hurt you?" He asks, running the back of his claws against my arm.
"M-My shoulder... He threw m-me and it-t dislocated..." I whimper when he touched my sore shoulder making him growl out some curses. His body shook with fury making a shiver ripple through me once again as he calmed down.
"I'm going to place it for you. It'll hurt." His whispers, his voice still rough while he grabbed it and snapped it back into place without warning. I cried out, flinching away from him as he placed a soft kiss to my exposed shoulder. "So sorry, little one." He murmurs, his horns tangling into his hair.
"It's okay. Just glad you came when you did." I admit, resting my head against his shoulder and closing my eyes.
"I should have been here to protect you." He says with a hint of regret when turning his face to my hair.
"No... I've been pushing you away for the past few days." I a.s.sure him, pulling one of my hands away from the sheets and pressing my hand on his face. "You didn't do anything wrong. You saved me yet again." I tell him as he chuckled and leaned into my palm.
"We need to stop making that a habit." He points out when I smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. You need to be the damsel in distress one of these days." I comment making him bark out a laugh.
"Not sure if that'll happen either." He tells me as I sighed and tilted my head. Giving him more access even though he wasn't doing anything to me.
"I hope not. I'm tired of fighting." I admit while feeling him press a soft kiss to my neck.
"I am as well. I've apologized enough about leaving you. I would do anything to get your forgiveness. I miss you." He says softly with a sigh.
I leaned away from him, holding his shoulders with both my hands as he stared at me with hopeful eyes. The sheet covering me pooled around my hips, revealing my chest to him before pressing my lips to his.
He closed his eyes, grasping my head and forcing me against the pillows. The need for one another growing just like our crazed kisses. It'd been so long I felt that I wasn't even sure how to kiss anymore.
"This isn't a good idea." He mumbles against my lips when I flipped us over and straddled his hips. I peered down at him, my eyes flashing a bright silver before leaning down and tearing at his t-shirt.
"I've waited far too long for this. If you're still afraid, I will ride you until I've crazed you with l.u.s.t." I purr, throwing shreds of his shirt on the ground beside us and running my nail against his chest.
A groan rippled through him making me lean into my touch and reach up to my hips, caressing them in a caring way.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to make a mistake just because I saved you." He says while I smirked and leaned down to brush my hair on him.
"Oh yes. I've fantasized about this for months. It's time you stop being afraid of the virgin, my dear." I taunt causing him to growl and flip us around. His weight pleasing on top of me.
"I am going to mark you tonight." He tells me and pressing his lips against my throat making me hum and nod.
"Do it then, demon. You're stuck with me for the rest of your life." I tell him as if that was the worst thing in the world causing him to chuckle and tighten his grasp around me.
"I gonna spoil the living s.h.i.t out of you." He growls while I squirmed underneath him.
"Stop talking. I've waited far too long." I snap at him in a rude tone before he pulled away and stared down at me with darkening eyes.
"As you wish, Valkyrie."
