"You should rest. You've had a long day." Agalana tells me in a concerning way when I smiled tiredly.
"I will not-t be able t-to," I said, patting her hand. "D-Don't worry about me, Lana. I-I want t-to remain here for a while. Too m-much to think about-t." My warm smile must have encouraged her since she sighed and nodded with a worried look.
"Don't stay out here for too long. Or I'm dragging you in bed like we did when we were younger." She teases but I don't remember our memories. She stood up and left me alone on the porch with my thoughts.
I pulled my legs up and rested my head on my knees. The cold breeze only proving that this wasn't some nightmare.
Some nightmare that I was a clone to someone loved.
Some nightmare that my master didn't force me to attack my friends.
Some nightmare to realize the girl I liked was the same guy I disliked.
Some nightmare to realize I was not a witch but a Valkyrie.
Some nightmare that I never woke up from.
I couldn't believe what happened in the span of several hours, unsure of what it was I could have done to prevent the events of today. Was it my fault that so much hardship was caused?
If only I went with Faye and Dawn...
"You look cold. Here." A jacket wrapped around my shoulders as I glanced up and saw Dylan- or Cade- I don't know anymore!
"I-I'm fine," I growl, shoving off the jacket and pushing off the porch. Suddenly in the mood to go on a walk even though it was forty degrees out.
"Khole. Stop for a moment." He called out, walking after me as I ignored his presence and continued walking. The spark of a chase causing me to run at full speed all of a sudden making him yelp at the sudden race. "Fine. I'll give in to your chase!" He yells at me, running after me while I jumped over a fallen tree and dove underneath a large branch a ghoul had been sleeping peacefully on.
It screeched, flying away quickly at the sight of me and Dylan running. There were several other howls in the night, the feeling of running at full speed almost exhilarating to me.
"Oh, my wee little Khole! You may be fast but not fast enough for your demon." He suddenly appeared in front of me making me smirk and continue running, launching myself off a nearby tree and over him. The action felt so natural I didn't bother to question it before running once again.
I knew I just changed our little game.
"G.o.ds that was outright attractive." He growled seductively when giving into the chase yet again. My hair flew around my face and I knew that he was growing closer and closer with every moment.
Were there more things I could do without actually knowing it?
I leaped into the air, swinging into the air and diving into the treetops before Dylan catch where I was. My movements were purely silent as I perched on a branch high enough for him not to see me staring down at him.
We were both panting, the cold air nipping at our sweaty bodies when he scanned the treetops for me.
"Must you always hide away from me?" He breathed with a lousy grin that reminded me of all those times we spent in my room, tucked away from the world. Without another moment away, I dropped down and made both of us fall to the ground.
"Who said I was hiding?" I ask in a low voice, sitting on his lower back while he spat out some leaves from his mouth and turned his face to look at me.
"You know. If you wanted to sit on my a.s.s, you could have asked." He c.o.c.kily says making me blush and jump off him and turn away from him yet again. Like I almost forgot why I was mad at him.
"You are correct. I'd like to sit on C-Cade's a.s.s. Not yours." I tried my best not to stutter but my bold response sounded weaker towards the end. Was it his intention to always betray me in the end?
"I can make that happen," Dylan tells me, wrapping a jacket around my shoulders once again. "Cade is still here, my wee woman." He pressed a soft kiss to my cheek before holding his hand out to me. "Just tell me your worries and I'll let you be," Dylan promises to me when I stared at his hand for a long moment.
"You think this is g-going to work-k?" I question him but he didn't say a word, only giving me a playful wink that warmed my hurting heart. "Not a peep." I rose my eyebrow at him, unsure if I truly want emotional support or to test his promise.
Instead, I chose to go the more innocent way and slipped my cold palm in his hand. He tugged me along the forest ground when I felt the world coming back down.
"I'm not sure how to feel about all this, to be honest," I told him truthfully and shrugged. "I feel hurt that you lied to me, though it was me who pushed Dylan away and accepted the quiet mute. You were just trying to get close to me for whatever reason and I am grateful for that but... You betrayed me and it's already so hard for me to trust... I don't know what to do because I really, really like you." I admit, looking at him finally as he smiled sadly and squeezed my hand in apology.
It felt nice he was keeping his promise because I was pretty sure I wouldn't say another word if he did.
"Then not only that, I am a clone. Of course, I knew this but then meeting her previous family and everyone. It's so... sad." I said while chuckling sadly. "I wished that maybe I had dreamt that I came from a tube and that I had a family to call my own but I guess that's not true. My master had created me just for his entertainment." I said, not even knowing that I wished for a family so deeply.
The scenery around me gave away to a soft lake and quiet waterfall that brushed over a few large rocks. I softened my gaze over the gorgeous landscape when he pulled me along, encouraging me to continue talking to him.
"I just wished there was a place for me. Like this lake for instance." I nod to the gorgeous landscape, remembering my rant about the painting with him not even days ago. "This lake is here because of mother nature. It belongs here and always will. Me on the other hand, I have nowhere. The Valkyries only wish for their deceased friend to come back, the witches want a prodigy, and you want a perfect woman." I said, looking up at him with a dejected smile.
He grabbed both my shoulders, forcing me to keep eye contact with him as he opened his mouth but shut it once again. Dylan looked like he was concentrating really hard to think of something to do but I pushed his hands away from my shoulders and smiled in a disappointing way.
"It is okay, Dylan. You didn't even want to be involved with me. I heard some girls saying that the other day. Gossiping that Dylan hated Khole or something... I understand if y-"
He grabbed my face, pressing his lips on mine and shutting me up so I couldn't continue. I whimpered at the kiss as his rough lips slanted on mine and deepened the kiss. My eyes closed while my hands held onto his shirt tightly.
His hands held my hair tightly before pulling my head back, letting him run his lips against my throat making me groan loudly. I clutched onto him, praying he wouldn't let me go since I felt weak in my knees.
The sparks that ran between us only made my worries about him hating me disappear in an instant, only leaving l.u.s.t and need.
His kisses were so... delicious.
He pulled away quickly, not wanting to take advantage of me when leaning away and releasing my hair. I whimpered at the loss as he caught his breath and stared at me with dark orbs.
"Sorry. I couldn't resist myself." He whispers, not daring to speak louder as I shook my head and took a step forward.
"You don't get to lean away. I want more." I demand, grabbing him and pulling him back down. My lips found his, kissing him deeply as he growled and took control of the kiss once again.

There was no doubt he didn't want me.
We both needed one another.

"We should head back," Dylan whispers to me, rubbing my back while I curled more into his hold. We were currently sitting together in front of the glittering lake, watching the water from the waterfall fall. He held me close to his chest with me nestled into his lap in a comforting way.
"Five more minutes," I mumble in a sleepy voice when he chuckled and brushed my hair over my shoulder, pressing a kiss to my neck again.
"You said that an hour ago." He reminds me, making me laugh softly and stretch in his hold.
"I don't want t-to face everything. Not yet-t." I yawn before he stood up and held onto me tightly.
"Sleep then. I'll bring us back and lock you away like a princess and her beast." He teases me as I chuckled and wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my face into his collarbone.
"This beast really wants her princess." I taunt back when he bursted into laughter at my words. A smile stretched on my face at the sound of his laughs. It felt nice to make him happy.
"Sleep, dear. There will be much to do when you awake." He tells me, letting his hands roam up my back and into my hair. His touch so intoxicating and the more days that pa.s.s by the harder it's to not think of dirty thoughts of him.
"Mhm... Okay." I yawned, digging my face into his shoulder and quickly falling asleep.
