I looked at ‘Ca.s.s Bedivere’, who’s sitting opposite to me…

In reality, the cold shoulders everyone’s been giving him should make him into a shut-in, he should rarely come out of his room and become a hikikomori* but my lil’ bro isn’t like that a bit! This Ca.s.s Bedivere has high self-esteem, other than challenging the cold shoulders my father and mother’s been giving…

Apart from the story of my tsundere lil’ bro, I have turned 10 years old. from what I’ve counted, there’s only 5 years left until the peak of my life arrives! It’s the time when I’ll be entering the school of wizardry!

Naturally, I’m not fond of the idea of meeting the other to-be Dukes but my goal are the girls in the school of wizardry! Other than the plan to make all the to-be Dukes straight, I’m also hoping to find myself a fiancé, isn’t this great?  With Gilbert Bedivere’s face, I doubt it’s gonna be hard to find a a girlfriend but you have to understand, the higher the girl’s level, the harder it becomes, I’m not hoping to build myself a harem, I just want an adorable-flat-chested-loli girlfriend.

I’ll need to increase my worth and the person who can do that is…

“Ahem! Salsal, what would I be specialised in the future?”

The Prince’s countenance became darker…I meant the Prince of darkness, who’s in front of me is smiling coldly. Even if he may be wicked…like super duper wicked, but his powers are real! Now that I think about it, isn’t Salsaal a bit too OP? He’s able to read the future, remove his spirit and float around terrorising others, not including his curses! I feel like there’s no end to this secret character’s powers! Oh, and I like to call him Salsal just so I can annoy him…

“Pfft…your special abilities?”, the Prince looked at me in disdain, “What were you thinking to ask me this? You weren’t interested before”.

You’re saying the only thing I’ve done is play around? Cough! It’s true…I’ll accept that at least.

“I’ll be enrolling in the school of wizardry soon…”

“Even if you were to get in, you still won’t be able to use magic. Anyone knows that Gilbert Bedivere can’t use magic.”

Yeah…true.

I was silent for a moment, “What about…my sword skills?”.

His ruby coloured eyes looked down on me, “Sword skills? Pff, even if Nigel were to only wield a stupid toothpick and you had Excalibur, even an idiot would be able to predict who the winner will be!”.

…Wah, you’re looking down on me too much but actually…fine, I’ll accept defeat.

Am I that worthless? My way to finding a girlfriend is becoming steeper…I thought for a moment and suggested a new idea, “How about…my intelligence?”. The cool-gla.s.ses-guy-who’s-always-reading type isn’t bad at all!

Salsaal wan’t even trying to conceal the scorn in his eyes, “Go commit suicide and reborn somewhere else is even easier!”

I want to cry, Salsaal’s got too cruel a mouth! but…ok, I’ll accept it but do I even have another chance at rebirth?!

In truth, I now I’ve been playing arou…I mean lethargic for a while. It’s highly improbable if I’m gonna go ‘boom!!’ and become someone OP overnight but when I think about it this way, there will always be one thought that pops up in my mind…

I’ve read a considerable amount of manga and watched a lot of anime, mostly, if the protagonists aren’t OP from the start, they’ll just be an average human being who happens to be lucky and has some kinda ambition…

Maybe, I should stop thinking this is just a game and live my life seriously? But when I think about it that way, a picture of me tending to the gardens going to school and living a simple life flies into my mind…I think I’ve been reborn in the wrong status.

I’m a simple person, I have no ambitions, I just want to look at cute little children running around everyday, this is enough to fill me with bliss for ages! Having to have ambitions, carry on the household traditions and being talented as a Duke has to be is just…

I looked at Mr future-terrorist, I asked him in a tired voice, “In the future, would you like to run away together…”.

Salsaal looked at me, repulsed, “Run away together? Huh! When you look ten times better than this then you can try and bring it up again!”.

Ten times…you mean, if I become even more attractive than Nigel, you’ll actually run away with me?

I looked at him in fear, the Prince rolled his eyes and changed the subject, “Have you ever wondered why my powers are way higher than Haref Lancelot’s”.

“Heh?”, I blinked, “Well…I’m kinda curious.”.

He’s a character who was created by the game’s development team as Haref’s counter opposite, but after that day, when I was able to make up with Nigel, Haref has never been able to sense Salsaal’s presence at all. Although, I’m not a fan of this game but I am a lil’ sis worshipper! My lil’ sis was crazy about Haref for a while and would always tell me that ‘Haref’s the most powerful character in the game’.

“How much do you know about G.o.ds and magic?”, when he saw that I was clueless, he looked at me in irritation, “You know that everyone’s got their own guardian angel, for example, Haref has the G.o.d of light, Nigel has the G.o.d of ice or in truth the G.o.d of water and for me…the G.o.d of darkness.”.

I nodded, actually telling what G.o.d someone has ins’t difficult, you’ve just got to see what powers they’ve got, especially look out for what powers they specialise in and the more powerful their powers are, the higher the G.o.d’s ranking.

“No matter who, you can call your G.o.d but most people would call them as a form of support, most who can do this are those who has mid-rank magic and a mid rank G.o.d…in reality, even their powers combined can’t even compare to someone who’s got high-rank magic. However, those who have high-rank magic aren’t able to call their own G.o.ds out”, Salsaal yet again has another one of his disdain looks on.

I can remember this! In the book, it said that there’s a big difference between a mid-rank G.o.d and a high-rank G.o.d. Not only are their abilities different…let’s just say high-rank G.o.ds are extremely prideful!

It’s not like I’ve forgotten about the details…I swear I’ve not.

“My abilities were given when I made a contract with my guardian angel”, Salsaal smiled evilly, he waved his hand once and dark shadows gathered themselves into a ball, rolling around in the room, “…the highest ranking magic in return for the lowest ranking physique…”.

Is he revealing his weakness to me?

I lowered my eyes, I couldn’t resist asking him, “Why are you telling me…”.

The corners of his mouth curved up and he bursted out laughing, “Cause there’s no way you can do anything to me”.

…In this kind of time you should be saying something sweet like ‘it’s cause I trust you’, don’t you know this much Salsaal! If you actually said something along those lines…it won’t make me weak since he’s too old for my type.

Salsaal lowered his ruby coloured eyes, “While you guys can walk for 10 km, I’ll only be able to walk for one. While you can lift a sword, the most I can lift is a knife…wait, what are you looking at?”.

I sighed and smiled at him faintly, “Well…in case an unfortunate soul actually marries you, how much ‘things’ would you be able to do with them and I doubt you’ll last long.”.

“…”

I swear I’m just saying this cause I’m worried about a friend.

*Hikikomori – basically shut-ins, those who separate themselves from society

**Tsundere – Those who say things contrary to their actions, thy actually love you but they won’t show it
