Plethora, Knight Of The World 7 One Week

It wasn't until late at night on the second day after Percy got the techniques that he had the first major brake through in merging the techniques, but as good as it sounds it only made him have more questions. 'It is too easy, it fits too well! The names are similar too, this cannot be a coincidence. Or is it?'

On first sight the two techniques have nothing really in common. Atlas's Phantom is a technique focused on carrying heavy burdens without letting anyone know one is doing that. Myriad Phantom is a technique focused on splitting up one's subconscious and giving that a phantom body to move.

These two techniques are completely different, but they would augment each other ma.s.sively, hopefully. But to Percy it doesn't feel like he truly needs to try too hard to make them fit together, it's more like they always had to be together.

After sleeping and breakfast with his squad to refresh his mind he finally noticed something, a similarly. Atlas's Phantom uses other persons auras and presence to hide ones own. Myriad Phantom uses the clones aura and presence to hide ones own in the same way, it's just another application that would be useless without the clones.

"This truly cannot be a coincidence." Percy mumbles to himself.

"What cannot be a coincidence?" Jerzai asks out of nowhere, startling Percy.

"Dammit, don't sneak up on me like that!" Percy says angrily, being p.i.s.sed about being interrupted in his thoughts. "But I'll tell you. The techniques I'm combining, at first it should be that my family's technique should be able to carry another technique to personalise and strengthen it. I'm the first trying to add this specific technique to it, but they fit too perfectly, there's even similarities in two completely different techniques. It's too perfect of a match."

Jerzai ponders for a minute. "That's a good thing right? You can always check who found them where later, it won't be too late to check for more clues?"

This simpel remark baffles Percy. "That's true.." He was thinking too much of it, he was looking for a reason, or proof even though that wasn't necessary right now. The thing that's important now is improving to show his dad that his choice was right!

And maybe gaining more clones to get points from the Moeder person. He still needs to see what she can truly help him with.

And like that Percy continues his regime, reading, pondering, combining, experimenting for 3 more days, the only brakes he takes are for the necessary sleep and food.

There are seven days left before the second drill. "I finally did it!" two voices shout out at the same time.

But there's no other person to hear it, and even if there was that person would've been confused. The two voices sound similar, but one is lower and even slightly creepy sounding. Percy did it, he pushed one clone out, actually splitting up.

His clone looks just like him, even his clothes are the same. But if one looks closely he can see that the clone is slightly see through, truly a phantom image.

Six days left until the second drill.

After experimenting with his new technique he found out a number of things.

If he doesn't force the clone out after initializing the technique it'll still be successful, the phantom clone will stay on his body but move slightly different from his real body, sometimes slightly slower or slightly faster creating after images. Whatever Percy says, his clone will say the same thing, creating a slightly weird but cool effect of multiple voices speaking at the same time.

He can have three clones, summoning the fourth one will make him faint for a couple of minutes which will make the other clones disappear.

He knows what the clones sense, all six of their senses, but it's a distant feeling. Only after the clone disappears does what the clone experienced fully add to Percy's mind. Not even in a way like seeing something through someone else's eyes, but like having truly lived it. If this happens one clone at a time it is surprisingly easy to handle, if it's two at the same time there's a slight headache for a minute, if it's three at the same time Percy will be rolling around on the floor in pain for that minute.

His clones got a little from Atlas's Phantom too, each can carry a weapon no matter the weight. The proficiency is dependent on Percy's proficiency of course.

The clones have vital points too. When normal weapons. .h.i.t it in his arms or legs the clone survives without consequences no matter how many times he gets. .h.i.t. Normal weapons on their chest or head need two hits to defeat the clone. Attacks that carry energy need two hits on arms and a single hit on the body or head.

The clones last until they're attacked or until Percy wants them to be gone. It takes about 20 seconds to make a new clone, another 5 to will it to separate from Percy's body. Making a new clone needs a lot of focus and is difficult during combat, the separation is easy, it just takes a little time.

"Jerzai!" Percy calls out, as he knows that he's close. He's always close.

"Yes Percy?" Jerzai walks into the dark interior of the tent. And Percy looks him straight in the eye without moving, he hasn't shown Jerzai the after images that he can create yet. Without moving his body the three phantoms start moving slightly, moving forwards and backwards, left and right, up and down even though Percy sits still without moving. Even though the phantoms only move a few centimetre in each direction it gives Jerzai gooseb.u.mps. "That looks sick, it's like there's too many of you in one place. What will your nickname be, Legion?"

"No. That's too easy, and I feel like it isn't true as they're all me. There'll be too many Percys, a plethora of Percys. Plethora will be my name." Percy stands up, four times, and starts walking outside. "Jerzai, fight with me."
