Plethora, Knight Of The World 5 The Kill

Their stealth isn't directly about being invisible, but it is about not being able to be focused upon. It's like someone is looking in the distance, and even though this person's nose is in his point of view he doesn't realise looking at it. Like this even though Jerzai and especially Percy is in someone's view that person can't focus on them, much less remember seeing them.

After moving deeper in the enemy's side the vigilance only got lower and lower, their speed got higher and higher. They killed no one along the way to prevent notifying anyone of their movements.

After a few minutes they're close to the general, the general stands on a raised platform with two other recruits. One seems to be looking far over the battlefield while the other has his eyes closed and seems to be talking every time after the general, Wall, said something. They're probably Wall's observer and order relayer.

Jerzai comes close to Percy even as they keep on moving, as standing still makes their stealth less effective, and talks for the first time this day. "I take the talker first, you take the watcher right after. If we get the chance try to go for Wall." his message is short, straight forward, and to Percy's liking. Percy nods and they both split up.

Percy observes his target, the target is dressed up in leather armor very tightly and it looks like it's very high quality. Percy looks through the weapons he's carrying and remembers the needle weapon, it's a super sharp needle weapon about 30cm long. For Wall he has his eyes on another surprise.

Just as he figured all of this out, Jerzai moves in closer as both his and Percy's techniques need to stay in movement to stay in stealth it'd be more dangerous to postpone the attack.

For a moment there's a small dark flash, followed by a silver flash followed by a hollow thud. Those flashed obviously were Jerzai and his dagger, the thud was the dagger hitting the wooden dummy.

Jerzai doesn't stop, as if the speaker wasn't his target at all. He continues towards Wall and the watcher calls out a warning but Wall was moving already.

Out of nowhere a big shield materialises on his arm to block the first attack. Right away there's a louder thud from behind Wall, he turns his head around and notices a collapsed dummy first, only after that the incoming a.s.sa.s.sin with a shining belt. Wall feels more threat coming from Jerzai's side so he turns back first to deal with that.

Wall swings his free arm, a longsword appearing in his hand. The sword moves straight to Jerzai, in response Jerzai throws his knifes. Four identical knifes fly out and get blocked by Wall, but there's no sound of weapons. .h.i.tting the shield. A fifth similar looking knife hiding behind one of the first four goes straight towards Wall's head, but he moves his head, the knife misses.

The longsword strikes home in the stomach of Jerzai, the sword pierces through the wooden dummy and cuts the waist halfway through releasing the sword again without any visual resistance.

Wall turns around and is greeted by a shorts sword heading to his helmet, he lowers his head slightly, showing his full trust in his equipment to stop the flying sword from even scratching his skin. But by lowering his head a dagger shows up underneath the flying short sword, a dagger that antic.i.p.ated Wall to have lowered his head, a dagger flying straight into the slit of Wall's helmet and turning him into a wooden dummy, a dagger that looks identical to the one Jerzai threw.

Percy looks amazed at the result, even he didn't expect this to work. But the technique he saw Jerzai use, and mimicked to a lesser extent. The high quality dagger Jerzai threw him. And the high danger level Jerzai gave Wall to distract him from Percy, all ended up in Wall being hit by a lucky shot.

"Commanding General Wall has been taken out by Percy Hable, rank 15,168. Battle drill ends!" Percy hears the voice of someone he knows very well. His father announces the end of battle drill, Percy didn't know that the battle drill will end when the commanding general dies and prepared himself to face all the people staring at him as he stands on the platform. He expected to die really quickly, but instead of that his father announces his victory, a big smile couldn't be stopped from appearing on his face.

"Woehoe! We did it!" He jumps in the air with his fist even higher in an embarra.s.sing show of childishness that will follow him throughout his time in the training camp.

"All gather!" and by an order of his father all recruits start moving to the gathering point again after this relatively short but intense battle drill.

Within 15 minutes everyone was gathered at the gathering point, the two armies separated from each other, those who 'died' and those who survived also separated from the other. The living of both armies are closest to each other, closest to the camp captain.

"This battle drill was different from all other battle drills before. The weakest were pitted against the strongest. The weakest had to do something special to overcome this difference. And even though they won I need to say that I am deeply disappointed!" The normal disciplined silence turns even more quiet. n.o.body dares to breathe, n.o.body dares to move. A silence similar to the silence a second before the executioner lowers his axe.

"The tactic from someone who's known for trickery and deceit was so simple and see through that it isn't even laughable." The camp captain looked straight at Imp, who lowers his head under the intense stare. "And for someone who's rumored to have a impenetrable defence, as well as in personal combat as in tactics, showed an unbelievable amount of contempt. Not only did you just continue with a standard formation, you didn't react when it was different from normal. Further more you took no care about checking for foreign people coming into your camp." Wall also gets a stare, but Wall looks back without lowering his head or shoulders.

"All captains will get feedback on their and their team's performance from the other trainers. The last thing I want to mention is the outstanding decision making and talent shown by Jerzai and Percy Hable, they will be expected at my tent in 10 minutes." Captain Hable turned around after saying this. Lee continues after he walked off with a "Dismissed!".

Percy follows Jerzai to the captains tent. "Thanks Jerzai, if it weren't for you I wouldn't have made it there, or even if I made it to Wall I probably couldn't have taken out more than just the speaker."

Jerzai turns his head to look at Percy while walking. "No problem, if I didn't see the fire in your eyes that you wanted to do this even on your own I wouldn't have been motivated enough to go. So in a way I should thank you."

'So that's why Jerzai is ranked so low. I was wondering how someone with such skill was ranked last.' Percy thinks to himself.

A minute later they were standing in front of the captains tent. Waiting for the captain to call them in.

"Jerzai enter please." the voice comes from the tent. Jerzai nods at Percy before walking in.

Percy waits in silence for almost 10 minutes before Jerzai comes out again. "I'll be your shadow from now on." He said before leaning against a pole on the side. Before Percy got the time to react to that statement his father calls him in.

"Percy enter please."
