My Female Prince 42 Rumors

Rumors began to spread like wildfire, people spoke of the general's wife and said that she was here for revenge. Revenge for what? Of course for the death of her husband. Everyone believed that the general was dead while people in the palace who had witnessed the unmasking scene of Prince Hong, knew that he wasn't.

On the streets, storytellers told the stories of Yun Long, exaggerating them to make him look grander than he was, to make him look like a great G.o.d. They told about how Yun Long took out the enemy force in just two nights, when in reality, it had taken months.

Xiao Jun, who had gone back to hiding her appearance and ident.i.ty, walked through the city streets.

"Eh, young miss! Come over here!" a street vendor exclaimed, she walked over. "Sir, what do you want?" she asked. He laughed and then handed her a box. "Take it! It's from Lord Zero."

Accepting the box, she thanked him and then walked off with the box in her basket. She covered it with the cloth and continued on her way.

Stopping at a couple other vendors, she then walked into a clothing store and a worker was about to come up to her but she waved him off and looked on her own. Inspecting each and every fabric, she chose out the best ones that were dyed a beautiful red and she also purchased gold thread along with beads. Taking it home, she began to make an outfit with specific measurements.

The creak of a door was heard and Xiao Jun didn't bother looking up, knowing that it was just Yun Long.

"Sewing a red dress? Why?" he asked, sitting down across from her.

"Move, you're blocking the light." Xiao Jun said, clicking her tongue in annoyance, Yun Long chuckled and kissed her cheek before moving to sit beside her. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry. But why are you making a dress? Especially a red one?"

"Is it wrong for an older sister to make a dress for her younger sister's wedding day?" Xiao Jun asked, looking up, a small smile playing on her lips, watching as Yun Long understood what she meant.

Both of them were dressed in their disguises again, but just revealing themselves for a day was enough to make the Crown Prince become paranoid. All the rumors in the city got to him and he went on a rampage, killing anyone who mentioned Yun Long in front of him.

"Ah, I almost forgot!" she got up and went over to the basket, taking out the box from inside.

"What is it?" Yun Long questioned, taking the box from her, Xiao Jun gave an unknowing look, "It's from Lord Zero."

Opening the box, inside it contained two jade bangles the size of a child's wrist.

"Jade bangles? For children?" Yun Long raised an eyebrow and looked under it to see a letter, reading, it said:

Xiao Jun smiled after reading the letter and she picked the bangles up, inspecting them closely before putting them back down on the velvet cushioned box.

"With that face of his, you wouldn't think that he had any sentiments but look at what he has done." Yun Long said, Xiao Jun lightly hit him on the shoulder, "You, be quiet! You're exactly like that, a cold face with no sentiments that scare off others, yet attracts others."

Yun Long stood up and set the box down, he turned towards the other and leaned close to her face, "Really? I attract others?"

Rolling her eyes, she cupped his face and kissed his lips softly, "Of course, you don't notice but I do indeed notice all the eyes of those jealous young, unmarried women. I need to draw some marks on your face to prevent them from looking."

"Let them look, they can only look anyway. The one who has my heart is my shameless wife." Yun Long chuckled, Xiao Jun laughed as well and then kissed him once again, pulling him down closer to her.

"Rumors? Who started to spread these rumors?!" the Crown Prince exclaimed, he stood up so quickly, that it made the servants around them cower and they lowered their heads as an older eunuch spoke.

"Your Highness! It is said to be a woman wearing all white with silver jewelry adorning her with...with.." the eunuch trailed off, not daring to say anything, until the Crown Prince grew impatient and threw his ink brush at the servant, causing him to kneel.

"With what? You can't speak? Speak before I make you mute forever!"

"The miss was adorned with silver that had the Huo family's crest engraved into it while exclaiming and firmly stating that the General is still alive!"

Going into a bout of rage, the Crown Prince pushed all the items off his desk, "Search for that woman and bring her back here!"

He wasn't alive, that's impossible. That man who said to be Yun Long is a liar.

The Crown Prince told himself all these lies, nodding to himself, and laughed to nothing in particular.
