Loud firecrackers went off and cheering sounded from outside as Xiao Jun was dressed in a red dress embroidered with golden thread. Her hair was twisted intricately and gold pins were placed in. Both her parents had come as well as all her brothers, they had a private residence in Han and that was where Xiao Jun was at the moment.

Her elder brothers stood out front to block the groom for a while until she was ready, joking playfully and questioning him.

That day, Yun Long laughed and smiled a lot.

All the servants and guards had red sashes tied to their waists and they helped guard the front with the elder brothers.

"Aye! General! Let me ask you this, are you able to make my sister happy?" the Third Prince, w.a.n.g Wei asked, making the others around him smile and laugh.

Yun Long laughed and then cupped his hands, "Of course! It's my duty as her husband to make sure she is happy. If she cannot be happy then may heaven send down lightening to strike me."

w.a.n.g Wei laughed loudly and nodded, "Good! Good! A good man!"

Talking for a while, everything was reported back to Xiao Jun.

Laughing lightly, she smiled, "He may indeed look cold but he was just waiting for the right person."

Suddenly, a maid happily ran in and then said, "Princess! The General has finally come to ask for you! Come! We have to go now."

Holding the red ribbon bow, the couple bowed in front of the parents and the heavens before offering the tea. They were now in the Huo Manor, the manor of Yun Long's parents.

Being escorted into their room after the ceremony, they did a small ritual in there and then Yun Long was pulled away to have wine with the guests as Xiao Jun sat on the bed quietly, waiting for him to come back.

Waving her hand, she had the maids leave and then she took a sip of the tea sitting on the table.

Looking at the red curtains all around the room and the red sheets on the bed, she smiled and then let her hands sit in her lap.

Hours later, her head was leaned against the bed frame and she was half-asleep when a loud voice exclaimed, "I! I am going to see my beautiful bride!"

She sat up quickly and fixed her veil before lightly hitting her cheeks. The doors opened and in stumbled in a "drunk" Yun Long. He shut the door and then let out a loud laugh before walking calmly over to Xiao Jun. "Did I make you wait long?" he asked, voice normal. He had acted drunk just to get away from the crowd.

She smiled underneath her veil and answered, "Yes, I did. What are you going to do to make up now?"

Yun Long chuckled and then lifted her veil off before smiling. "My Xiao Jun. My shameless bride."

He leaned forward and kissed her after dropping the veil and took the hairpins out of her hair slowly one at a time, placing them onto the cushioned tray on the table.

Once her hair was left free, he pushed her back gently and laid on top of her with his arms at the side of her head. Pulling away, he looked her in the eyes.

"I love you. You know that?"

She touched his face lightly. "I know. Even if you don't show it, I know."

He smiled and the let the red colored drapes down, their clothes being discarded onto the ground, moving into a pa.s.sionate night of love between a husband and wife.

The next morning, Xiao Jun woke up early despite being tired and went to go prepare the tea for the parents after being dressed in a red dress with some light accessories.

Walking into Yun Long's study, she tapped his shoulder lightly. "Let's go, let's go pay respects to Mother and Father."

Sitting in the main hall in the other Huo manor, Madam Huo talked to Xiao Jun happily and gifted her a few accessories.

"Princess, since you have married into our family, come keep this old one company, alright?" Madam Huo said, Xiao Jun smiled and nodded, 'Mother, no need to be so formal in calling me Princess. Calling me Jun'er in private is alright as well as simply calling me Madam Feng."

Laughing, Madam Huo nodded, "Alright, I will. If our Long'er dares to hurt you, just come report to me and I'll give him a beating."

Xiao Jun laughed lightly and to the side, someone sulked inside their heart.
