While Tinaria opened a book by the window of her room, she kept thinking about yesterday’s event in her head.
I heard at the tea party about Keith, who went to a.s.sist the town where the forest fire broke out, returned home, then I headed to the back garden as usual and found Keith sleeping. I noticed that his physical condition was bad, obviously because he worked too hard, so I was overcome with pain and grew worried. In fact, I wanted to say I was willing to take care of him more than anything, but it was impossible for me to say such a thing, especially since I have not been able to do any good for the country. While I am staying restfully at the castle, Keith is running around for the country.
Even if I say I want to be useful to Keith, the current situation where I don’t do any good for the country is pathetic. I never had the chance to do something like that, but if I were to ask Keith, I wonder if he would listen…?
“What?! You’re saying you are letting the Princess of Lidea visit the orphanage?!”
Lionel stared at Keithfalt with eyes wide of astonishment.
“Yes, we must display our sympathy to them and well, since she said she wanted to have an occupation. We don’t have that much manpower so I guess it will be just fine.”
“Wait a moment please. When have you met that women? Don’t tell me she was loitering around the office?”
Lionel frowned as if it was repulsive. While Keithfalt was handling the doc.u.ments, he replied indifferently.
“Not particularly, I accidentally happened to meet her in the corridor.”
“Do not be fooled. At any rate she was pretending it was a coincidence to attract his Highness’ attention. Also concerning her work, I’m sure she just wants to show off she is the Crown Princess. In the first place, what can a royal Princess do to help? I think on the contrary that she’ll only be a hindrance.”
“Yes, it will be annoying if that happens, so I requested the director of the orphanage to keep an eye on her. Perhaps she will be leaking information outside. I believe she could send letters, but if she were to use this, I will fire her immediately.”
“Well, in that case… I understand. Let me arrange this for you.”
Lionel thought he could possibly find out that woman’s true nature by purposely letting her go free and keep her in and out under surveillance.
