He floated over to the stone pedestal, and Jack followed after. As soon as Jack stepped in front of the pedestal, there was a small flash of energy, which congealed into a small sphere of yellow-white light that floated a few inches above the surface of the palm.

"Alright, now the first thing you're going to do is reach your hand out and put it on the pedestal." Frumpkin said, gesturing towards the pedestal with his half-eaten sandwich.

Jack did as he was told. As soon as his hand made contact with one of the fingers of the large stone hand, the energy in the palm shifted and spread, flattening and stretching before lifting a little higher into the air.
