Immediately after Avant left, Firia's maid, Rebeca, entered the room and saw her new “Master” sitting in the couch while staring out of the window.

“Good work, Firisama.”

“Haaah, there's no use worrying endlessly about those things….”

Rebeca was carrying a tray with a tea set on top of it.

“Here Firisama, have some tea and take a break.”

(M-maybe this is what you'd call… f-friendship between master and servant?)

Because Firia had finished her training for today, she thought it'd be a good idea to indulge herself with some tea and sweets.

“Firisama, If I may ask, why were you making such a sad face when I entered the room?”

Firia took a sip of her tea, sighed and said–

“–For some reason, Luke wants me to become his woman… and Avant will be really busy for the next three days, so….”

Rebeca wasn't surprised in the least, Luke was capable of doing something like that.

“But if I'm not mistaken, you've only met with him twice, right Firisama?”

What was going through his head? Luke was trying to steal Avant's future wife, he must've lost all sense of danger.

“Well, you're not wrong… even I don't know why he's so obsessed with me.”

Rebeca then poured more tea for Firia.

“But I'm sure his Majesty would protect you, Firisama.”

“That's right…”

That time in the flower garden was actually Firia's first time meeting with Luke, so she was really surprised to know that Avant had a brother, but that said brother was actually a weird guy.

“It's a shame though… Luke-sama keeps rejecting every princess that proposes to him, so he's still single.”

(Whats with these two princes!? They have so many girls literally trowing themselves at them, and yet they're still single!?)

“B-but wouldn't that create some weird rumors? Y-you know, that kind of rumor….”

Rebeca then laughed and said–

“–I know it's weird to keep rejecting them, but Luke-sama is always in the red light district.”

“…And that's okay? I-I mean, he's a prince, right?”

“It's actually okay. Luke-sama rejected all of his fiancee's in these past 15 years, so the previous King gave up on him.”

“And how old is he…?”

“Luke-sama is 23 years old.”

“and how old is Avan? …I-I mean, Avant!”

Firia had spent so much time with Avant, but she didn't even know his age yet.

“Fufufu, Firisama really likes his Majesty a lot.”

“I-I don't love him or anything! And it's not like I wanted to know when is his birthday either!”

“Ara, but I never said that you loved him?”

“Ugh! S-stop making fun of me!”

“Fufufu, I'm just joking. His Majesty is 27 years old and this is the first time he ever proposed to someone.”

(So Avan is 27 years old, huh… b-but it kinda bothers me that all of those girls are still fawning over him, even though we're… e-engaged…)

Rebeca was smiling at Firia. Her new master was fun to watch, since she'd always blush whenever Rebeca mentioned Avant. But there was something bothering Rebeca and the other maids, who were working in the castle–

“–Recently, his Majesty's special const.i.tution is getting even stronger, and you're the reason Firisama, since he's always talking with you using a sweet voice. If we – the maids – don't wear a defensive magic barrier, we'd faint from the sound of his voice–”

(No way, it's getting stronger!? Back then, my party members didn't even stand a chance against him, and now Avan's voice is even more powerful!?)

Rebeca was a bit troubled, but that was still better than the old Avant. Those lifeless eyes were scary, but now, they held a light so bright that it'd even blind someone careless.

“–But his Majesty has that const.i.tution since childhood, so it's not that difficult to deal with. After all, he has a lot of magic power, so it oozes out in his voice when he speaks.”

“So, his magic power… oozes out in his voice?”

“Yes… and because of that, his Majesty never found someone who could withstand his special power… until you appeared, Firisama.”

Firia wanted to yell: “I never asked to be his fiancee though!!!” But Rebeca had serious expression on her face, so Firia held herself back.

“In behalf of every servant here in this castle, I thank you, Firisama.”

(Well, it's not like I can win against his voice either, specially when he whispers in my ear… nonono! What I'm thinking! T-there's no way his voice can make me∼♥ …awawa!)

Firia certainly had a hard time with Avant's voice, but that's a secret she'd take to her grave without telling anyone.

(Wait! Rebeca mentioned Avan's voice, right?)

The second son of the Savaela family was always being praised for having a beautiful voice, so maybe because Firia grew up with a brother that had the same const.i.tution, Avant's voice didn't have that much of an effect in her.

*Whisper*

“So that's why I'm immune to his voice….”

Because of her brother, Firia managed to survive against Avant's verbal attacks. But that same brother tried to–

“–Haaah, now I want to go home–”

“It's okay, Firisama! Even if Luke-sama's Tentacle of Darkness manages to catch you, his Majesty would still save you!”
