Magic Crusade Chapter 7

CHAPTER 7

Seito slowly wakes up and has a small struggle sitting up but he eventually does.

"It hurts….. everywhere."

He gets up and starts to look at his body.

"I’m fully healed.Amazing, how? Belze, Mic.""

"SHUT UP! I’m still sleepi…." *snore*

"Aiy.", yawns Mic as he wakes up.

"So how am I fully healed?", he asks while feeling himself.

"An angel and a divine prayer."

"Divine prayer, what is that?", he asks.

"An angel prayed for you but its prayer was infused with pure heavenly magic."

"What do you mean by pure?"

"Let me explain. There is both pure heavenly magic and pure h.e.l.l magic. These are magic found were found abundance in both heaven and h.e.l.l but after a few hundreds of year it began to deplete. This is where Belze and I get our power from but our powers are limited due to the depletion. These magics are extremely powerful so usage of a certain amount has to be permitted by the G.o.ds themselves.

"Is that so."

"And about how beasts come from h.e.l.l."

"Huh?"

"That isn’t entirely true. There are also heavenly beasts that originate from heaven. There aren’t as strong as angels so this makes it possible for humans to make contracts with them and the same goes for h.e.l.l beasts."

"Thank you for the information sensei.", as he clasps his hand.

". . . . . ."

"But wait. How did you know that I wouldn’t die from making a contract with one of you?"

"Because you were already dead."

"Oh right, forgot about that."

"Your family seems to be downstairs worried about you. Go to them."

"You’re right."

Seito gets out of the bed, changes his clothes and then heads downstairs.

Mic turns and starts to talk to Belze.

"Hey."

"Yea."

"We need to find out what is inside Seito."

"It seems so."

Mic closes his eyeand they vanish. Then they re-appear in a dark area with very dim lighting.

"Where exactly is this?"

"I’m not sure but this is where traces of its power was coming from."

They suddenly hear sounds of chains moving and when they look they see a cloud of black smoke and a huge green eye. A mouth opens showing its huge fans with air coming of its mouth with force.

It talks.

"I smell curiousity which will soon turn into fear then the smell of death shall stain this place which was caused by my hands"

Mic and Belze feels its presence and starts trembling with fear. Mic quickly closes his eyes and they vanish.

"W-What…. What was that? This feeling… its fear. But that’s impossible….. O-only the G.o.ds have made me felt like this."

"I, one of the Supreme Being’s aids, was…… afraid?"

"What is that being? Is this why they want him?"

"Maybe, but I believe it’d be best if we tread no further."

"Maybe you’re right. I have a bad feeling we’ll be roped into something major that Seito might not be able to handle."

"Hmm."

Seito reaches downstiars and his parents were eating breakfast.

"What, you’re fully healed, how?", Seito is asked by his father.

"It’s a long story. But I can tell you this."

"What are you saying Seito?", asks his mother.

"I have decided. I will take part in the entrance exam."

"Sounds like you finally grew a pair."

Mrs. Ken gives him a slap to the face which sends him off the chair.

"Really, I’m glad to hear that.", says his mother with a smile upon her face.

His father gets up and starts to brush himself off.

"This gives me joy, but what was it that made you decide on this.", as he sits.

"Well after everything that happened, what kind of son would I be if I rejected all the hard work my parents did for me.", he tells them while he uses him left index finger to scratch the left of his face. "I mean, I died and almost died again.", he then says to himself.

Hima slowly walks down the stairs.

"And what kind of brother would I be if my little sister couldn’t look up to me."

"SEITO!"

She jumps on his back, eyes filled with tears and nose full of snot.

"Oh… come on, get off me!"

"I’m so happy to be your sister."

"And I’m happy to be your brother….. Some of the time."

Seito begins training with the Sin sword because Mic refuses to give him the Holy sword because he isn’t ready for it because he can’t fully use the Sin sword.

"Using one sword costs a great amount of stamina, much less two, and can even destroy you’re body if you’re not careful. So until then you will only use the Sin sword.", demands Mic.

"Well that sucks."

They begin to train for seven days prior to the exam.

The days come and go in a flash and the day comes when Seito would take place in the f.u.xemia Magic Academy entrance exam. He arrives and sees a whole lot of people, some who look like royalty and some who seem really strong, standing in front of the school.

"Woaaaah."

"Close your mouth and stop drooling.", Seito is told by Belze.

He stands with the crowd and sees the stage. It has 12 seats but only 11 were occupied. One of the seated persons gets up and walks to the podium.

"Good morning, I am Getserai Minatsu, the vice principle of this academy."

"Wow, she’s pretty hot."

Hima is suddenly using her left hand to hold her chest.

"Seito, how could you?", in a distraught voice.

"The exam consists of two parts. You will be heading to the auditorium to do the first part of the exam which is a written exam. We will immediately mark your answers as soon as you are finished. Those who don’t pa.s.s the first exam aren’t worthy to attend our school and so will be notified and will not take part in the second exam."

There is chatter among different sections of the crowd.

Everyone then goes into the huge auditorium, find there I.D number and sits for the test.

"You are going to pa.s.s right?"

"Definitely…. I hope."

"Yep, you’re doomed."

"I studied okay. Besides I have two beings to help me out if anything."

Mic: You will most certainly get no help from us.", states Mic.

"Guys stop joking."

*silence*

*more silence*

"Guys."

*even more silence*

"YOU TRAITORS!!!", he shouts aloud.

A huge number of persons turns and look at him.

He bends his head in utter shame.

He pa.s.ses the exam but barely

"So pathetic"

"Oh shut up."

Everyone goes back in front of the school.

"Hmm. There’s less than before."

A girl, who is wearing the schools uniform, walks up to the podium. Her hair golden. She was wearing a light green uniform blouse, light green skirt that reaches at her knees which only gives a little s.p.a.ce between it and her black, knee high stockings and a green tie with the schools symbol in the middle of it.

"Good morning everyone, I am Lamia Holesworth, a second year and also the Student Council President."

"Wow, only a second year and already the Student Council President, she must be talented.", says one random person.

"Of course she is, didn’t you hear, she’s from the Holesworth family.", said another.

There are families that are considered upper n.o.bles because they have high positions and status in the Kingdom’s economic build-up. The Holesworth family is the 12th of the 15 upper n.o.bles of Hitsaria.

"Wow, she seems amazing."

Hima uses both hands to hold her chest.

"Seito not again.", she said in an agonizing voice as if she was in real pain.

"Hey Seito, are you……. IN LOVE!?"

"You really get on my nerves sometimes cat."

Lamia continues.

"The Headmaster, Sir Masuta, was to give a short speech and instructions for the second part of the exam but for unforeseen reasons he could not be here so I shall proceed on his behalf. You lot may have pa.s.sed the written exam but that is nothing if you fail to impress the heads of the school you will be shown the way out. Recommendations and anything of the sort doesn’t mean anything at this point. Only your skill and talent will be recognised."

"Intense. My excitement is overflowing."

"Easy cowboy", Seito is told by Mic.

"It is simple. Two persons will be randomly chosen to spar with each other. It doesn’t matter if you either win or lose. Your skill is what will be graded. The time limit is six minutes."

"So I can lose and still be accepted but I don’t plan on losing."

"One of our professors will use his magic to put up a special barrier where damage inflicted will be liked getting shocked on a low voltage. This also prevents you from dying."

The teacher gets up from his seat and walks in the middle of the crowd.

"Clear this area", he tells them.

They move.

He bends, touches the ground and chants a spell to place up the barrier. He finishes and Lamia starts calling out names from a list on a paper she received from one of the proffesors.

"First. Atsutoya Shin vs. Megaline Sine."

One after another students are called up to fight each other. Students fight and show excellent strength and magic skills. Some lose and some win then finally.

"Next. Seito Ken vs. Layla Muchi."

"All right."

"Hmm.", says the unknown girl.

They both step up to the middle.

"I’m sorry but your defeat is eminent.", states Layla.

"Well see about that."

"Your arrogant att.i.tude really p.i.s.ses me off. Come, Cerebra."

A black magic circle with the fang symbol in the middle appears. A large, three headed beast, with the skin colour of lava came out of the circle.

"So she uses a familiar."

"And a strong one at that, she must be a n.o.ble.", says Belze.

"How strong?"

"At your current level you might not be able to take it down."

"Hmmm, good. Belze."

"Okay…. Wait, don’t boss me around."

Seito then says, " Let there be mayhem."
