Chapter 271: All Parting Is For A Better Reunion
Ji Yang sighed. “I don’t want to think about all these romantic mushes. It’s too much trouble. I just want to focus on my career.”
Speaking of Ji Yang’s career, Mu Siyin was still a little worried.
“Do you really want to go back to your previous post, Yangyang?”
Ji Yang immediately nodded when she heard that. “Of course! It’s easy being an anti-prost.i.tution officer, but you know my ambition lies elsewhere.

Ji Yang raised his eyebrows. “Has he left?”
Xiang Qiuci nodded. “Yeah.”
“Did you make things clear?”
Xiang Qiuci nodded again. “Yeah.”
“What’s his reaction?” Curiosity overtook Ji Yang’s face
Xiang Qiuci replied helplessly, “He could hardly believe that I would go downstairs with him just to reject him.”
Ji Yang pouted. “Narcissist!”
Mu Siyin asked, “Is my cousin very upset, Qiuci?”
Xiang Qiuci paused and squinted her eyes slightly. “He did look very down, but… I thought it was better to make things clear with him. Otherwise, it would do him no good if I keep giving him false hope.”
Mu Siyin nodded. “Yes, you are right.”
It was better to clear things up than leaving him guessing and causing further misunderstandings.
Xiang Qiuci walked over to the sofa before she looked at them and said, “I’ll be leaving this afternoon. Take care, guys.”
Mu Siyin felt helpless. “We know that you’re busy, but you should have more me-time in the future. Don’t tire yourself out.”
Xiang Qiuci nodded. “Okay. I’ll get more rest when I’m back next time.”
At 4:00 p.m., the people from Qiu Ci’s dance troupe came to pick her up. As such, Mu Siyin and Ji Yang sent her to the car and waved goodbye.
Ji Yang lifted her hand and placed it on Mu Siyin’s shoulder as she let out a soft sigh. “It’s just the two of us again.”
Mu Siyin chuckled. “All goodbyes are for a better reunion.”
Old Master Lu had specifically instructed Lu Jingchen to get Mu Siyin back to the Lu family within the next two days.
Since Mu Siyin had no work today, she headed to the Lu family directly from Ji Yang’s house.
Before she got out of the car, she purposely sent a message to Shi Beiyu.
