The moment the twins release their aura a glint of surprise was seen in Temple's and his attendant's eyes. While Winston didn't seem to notice anything at all, Temple resumed his relaxed demeanor shortly after and his attendant remained by his master's side unmoved. Before Winston could chat up a storm with them, Temple decided to speak first.
"I didn't know that the Westhaven estate housed so many experts." He gestured towards Nisha and the others.
Winston paused before everything registered within him. He followed his friend's line of sight and was surprised to find so many beautiful women in the dining hall. He managed to finally sense the aura that the rainbow colored hair dream like maids emitted from their bodies. Winston felt pressure like nothing he felt before. It was a chilling and wet feeling that made him feel like he was in the middle of the ocean. Without realizing it, his back was drenched in sweat.
"Please excuse me for my discourteous actions. I wasn't aware great experts have come to visit my humble home. My name is Winston Vaan Westhaven, it'll be my honor to know your name."
Instead of getting an immediate reply from the monster maids n.o.body spoke. He was left there feeling embarra.s.sed, but he knew if he would to insist these unknown experts would kill with a simple slap and he'll be the one to blame.
"Please excuse my impudence." He finally said hoping to recover the situation.
This time he was greeted with a peal of melodious laughter. It was like neuter to his ears that made him addicted to the sound. He focused his eyes on the person who laughed and he was left speechless. How can someone so perfect exist in this world he thought. Even though her face was covered with a veil, it was impossible to hide her outer worldly beauty. He was left staring at her like he was stuck in a trace.
Temple also just realized the beauty that can topple realms seated in the dining hall. What was even more interesting was that he only acknowledged her existence the moment she laughed. His expression didn't change much, but what he felt inside was a mixture of astonishment and something unknown.
"I'm not surprised you didn't recognize me. It's been years and I was blessed to be taken by a powerful expert to be his disciple. These are the maids he a.s.signed to me." Nisha gestured to the monster maids that drew Winston's attention to her every movement. Winston, on the other hand, was confused from what he just heard. He didn't remember anybody in the younger generation that was worth mentioning beside him and Fiona. Anybody else was considered playthings that were meant to be used and thrown away.
When Winston looked closer to the woman claiming to know each other, he was able to pick up hints and clues that came together with his memory. The only thing he can come up with was by looking at the pretty young red-headed girl bearing some resemblance to the sixth daughter, that always clung close her older fifth sister. But the Nisha he knew didn't look anything like the G.o.ddess that was sitting without a care in the world. The more he thought about the possibility about them being the same person he couldn't even fathom it.
"Fifth younger sister, N-Nisha?" he said out of impulse in a low voice.
A smile so blinding blossomed on her face in response. "It's been too long older brother."
His reality broke into a million pieces when heard her confirm it. He inwardly started to curse his bad luck as the first person to run into since returning home would be the dirty rag of his father's. Not only that he brought Temple home in attempts to curry favor with. He hoped that now she wouldn't say any useless things.
"You changed so much, I couldn't recognize you!" He said in a brotherly tone that almost fooled Ana. But Ana remembered bits of this man when he was in the estate, he was no better than their father. She could tell whatever he said was a lie to showcase amongst outsiders. If his friends weren't around then it would be Winston ordering his personal servants to humiliate them while he watched. Ana couldn't help remembering the horrible encounters they had with Winston. He would sit and flirt with a few maids that he personally trained for his pleasure as he watched them being tormented for his amus.e.m.e.nt.
Ana vowed if she was ever lucky as her older sister, she would beat him up and make him regret being alive. She knew her thoughts were childish, but it's one of the few wishes she ever had in her small life. Nisha felt Ana's hatred for Winston and sealed it within her aura. She didn't want others to see her little sister in a vulnerable state of mind. This was a new experience for her to see Ana burn with such rage than to cowry in fear afterward. She could only smile at Ana's display of cuteness. Nisha was curious what expression would her cute little sister make if she knew everybody who harmed her would die an extremely violent death. None of them was fit to be reborn underneath her blessing.
"I have, it's mainly due to my master. I see that you remain the same after so many years."
Nisha's comment sounded harmless and endearing when she talked to her other brother. But to Winston, Nisha's words. .h.i.t a sore spot. He and his sister went away to advance their studies and cultivation. While Fiona approved dramatically, he, on the other hand, was average. He could even feel his progress becoming more difficult as time pa.s.sed. Thus his only true footing was being born a male which was favored in society and having a talented younger sister. He uses those things to his advantage. People in the academy flocked to please him to get close to his sister and his family name. It satisfied him greatly that he was the gatekeeper to his n.o.ble family and his sister that would pave the way for him in social circles.
Winston gritted his teeth as he forced himself to smile. He actually started to regret bringing Temple to his home. If he wasn't here, he would torment the girl senseless in the ways he trained his pleasure maids. Before he can lose his temper, Temple appeared one step ahead of him.
"I never knew that the Westhaven family had such a treasure at home." The man named Temple said with a slight smile on his devilishly good looks.
It was now Nisha's turn to feel shocked. Temple was able to simply execute a style of movement that was impossible for a mortal. Even Fiona's speed of running away didn't match this man before her. Not only that she felt a strong force emitting from his body. To Nisha, it felt like Temple was an embodiment of the sun. The searing heat that radiated of his body made her want to encase herself in ice.
She has never had this feeling before even when she was burned at the stake a few times during the eras of monster hunting and the Salem witch trials. She was immune to heat since she was an old vampire, but this feeling almost made her weak to her knees. Nisha extended her delicate hand in greeting to Temple, she wanted to probe him. And in return, he took her hand to kiss it.
Temple was wearing a pair of black leather gloves that had strange symbols etched into that gathered particles of yellow light. It looked course, but when she felt it with her own hand it was soft to the touch, and the material was very thin. She didn't feel much besides the extreme warmth of his hand, but when his lips touched the back of her hand it was electrifying. Even though her body looks on the surface unfazed, she knew that her overly heated up nerves were firing off signals that gave her the urge to take a bite out of him. She controlled her vampiric urges and withdrew her hand and hid them. Temple flash her a simple smile that was divine to the mortal women in the hall. He too also hid his hands behind his back.
Only Temple's attendant was able to see his master's hand trembling, while he used his other hand to suppress his uncontrollable reaction. His attendant was startled and knew that the fifth miss of the Westhaven household was what his master was looking for.
