His long fingers looked so beautiful, the author wanted to lick the screen. Even though his eyes couldn't be seen, with cherry-like lips and a jawline that could cut through s.p.a.ce, he could convince any man or woman that pa.s.sed by that he was undoubtedly handsome.
Even though he was sitting, it could be seen that he was very tall, his shoulders broad and firm while his black hair looked soft and smooth.
Disturbing the beautiful scene in the office room, another man with reddish hair popped his head inside the room completely disregarding the quiet environment.
"Your idol is causing trouble again~"
The black haired man clicked his tongue before lazily opening his eyes and sitting up.
Looking at the youth playing with the things on his desk he frowned, swatting his hand away.
"Tch. So stingy. I don't understand why that girl is so insistent on you."
"Because I'm the best."
Hearing the black haired man say such a line in a matter of fact voice, Fan Yin really couldn't say anything to that.
"Qiao Feng how long are you going to stick to this arrangement? It's already been a month. If she had ability it'd be fine but... sadly she only has the status and looks."
Though his friend really made him want to hit something sometimes he didn't want him to be left like this. Since that girl, Xiang Qiu Yue, had forcefully made Qiao Feng her manager, he hadn't been able to do anything else.
"Hm."
...what's with your reply?! I'm worried alright?!
Fan Yin took a deep breath to calm himself down and then a few more before he spoke.
"Anyways... I came here to tell you that she suddenly started crying in the outdoor practice area."
Only at this point did Qiao Feng show a little bit of interest, raising an eyebrow.
Fan Yin shrugged.
"That's all I know. It's a complete mystery why she's suddenly doing this, but as her manager you should know. She's been crying for some time now and it's also started raining~"
He grinned mischievously at Qiao Feng.
Qiao Feng didn't reply for a few seconds before sighing as he stood up. With long strides he reached the office door, leaving Fan Yin sitting there with unrestricted access to his desk as he left.
'As long as nothing is out of place!'
.....
Qiao Feng frowned looking at the young girl that sat on the bench, rain falling on her with no mercy.
Sure this girl wasn't someone he liked but seeing her like this caused him discomfort. How could someone with so much pride and zeal look so broken?
As he got closer, holding onto the umbrella he could hear her saying something.
"...Feng! Why-"
He was surprised at hearing his name from her mouth, she said it with such intensity and familiarity his pupils dilated as he stood there silently trying to gauge her meaning.
Slowly he moved forward and tapped her on the shoulder. However, even as she turned to look in his direction, her eyes didn't see him.
He frowned seeing the wedding band in her hand. Since when had Xiang Qiu Yue been planning to get married? Starting as an idol, getting married was obviously a bad idea, especially getting married even before her debut.
She may have forced him to be her manager by using her status, but he didn't want to brand her as useless before trying and launching her first. Wouldn't giving up on her before even trying show that he was scared? That someone with his ability could actually fear launching someone? No.
Leaving that aside however her complexion looked unnaturally pale and she suddenly slumped sideways, falling onto the bench.
Surprised, Qiao Feng let go of the umbrella, letting it fall to the ground as he caught her instead.
Right before she lost consciousness she said the name again
"FengFeng..."
There was an uncomfortable feeling in his heart again, obviously she was using his name but he could also feel that she wasn't calling his name. Of course it still felt weird to hear his name being said in such an intimate tone.
Catching her in his arms, he could feel that while her body was extremely cold, her forehead and neck were burning.
Frowning, he laid her head on his chest, picked her up with one hand holding her back and the other under her legs as he quickly carried her into his car, taking her back to her apartment.
As her manager, he had a copy of her keys, the ones that she had stuffed into his hands on the first day with a triumphant look.
He quickly dumped her in the bed before carefully wiping himself dry. He really felt dissatisfied, look at how much he had to do as a manager?
He moved over to the door, planning to leave but then his gaze reluctantly returned to the sleeping figure as his mother's words which echoed in his head telling him to treat girls kindly, made him change his mind. He sighed, clicking his tongue and went over to the kitchen.
Seeing the empty fridge and the barely touched kitchen he really wanted to just leave but then thinking about the fact that the girl was his designated idol, if anything happened and she gave up, his parents would definitely make him work for them!
No, since he had chosen this road he had to go with it.
He quickly went outside and bought only the bare minimum required essentials before whipping up a leek and chicken rice porridge for Qiu Yue.
He looked at her with a frown but then decided against waking her up, just placing the bowl on the side table. Deciding he had done enough, he told himself that he would call her brother to take care of her. As he started to walk outside, Qiu Yue opened her eyes.
Although Qiu Yue woke up, she didn't see or hear him leave as he closed the door softly behind him, all that was left of that man's visit was the bowl of warm porridge beside her, with a gla.s.s of water and fever medicine.
Qiu Yue sat up on her bed, her head pounding in her skull as she felt feverishly hot. Seeing the bowl of porridge and medicine, she knew that Huo Zi Feng must have kept them there for her.
It was as though her mind had created an illusion where Huo Zi Feng was still there and she took the medicine, picking up the bowl to eat. But slowly she looked around and all she could see was unfamiliar surroundings and all the memories came crashing back. Huo Zi Feng was gone, she had left that world... so then why did the porridge taste so familiar?
She shook her head, setting it aside. No. NO!
Suddenly Qiu Yue had the urge to throw things and break something. To see them shatter into pieces, she wanted them to break, just like the pieces of her heart.
In a destructive haze, Qiu Yue threw things into the floor, smashing them into pieces but no matter what she did she couldn't get rid of the urgent anxiety in herself.
Suddenly, from the corner of her eye she saw the wedding band lying amongst the shards of gla.s.s. And yet, being aware of the consequences, she roughly brushed the shards aside and picked it up. Her hands tightly grabbing it even as the tiny shards on the band cut deeply into her.
At this moment, Yao Yan opened the door to the apartment. She had transmigrated in A country and even after catching the first flight here, it had taken over 15 hours. Qiu Yue probably hadn't even realized it was well into the night right now.
But the moment she opened the door, the first thing Yao Yan saw was bright red blood dripping from Qiu Yue's hand as she stared at her blankly.
