Chapter 23 The Grand Doctor of the University “Have you heard? Because of him, over a dozen players have died. Most of them were the students of the University. Each year, the talents sent by the University to the national bureaus const.i.tuted about three-fourths of the whole country. However, the ones who died were the top ones at the University.”   “The dead have already gone. The University wants to extinguish the Ghost-Power Master; we have no reason to stop them.”   After a while, all the people cried loudly, “The Ghost-Power Masters have caused many disasters throughout the land. To avoid more trouble, we support the University to kill him! Kill him! Kill him!”   The audience’s collective heart was stimulated by the students’ words and they couldn’t control their killing intent. Bird felt the crack . . . crack . . . . sounds underground. The ghost opened his mouth with rage to show his angular teeth. Some dark ghost air rose up from the earth to forge a thick, black fog that lifted the whole audience up. But the ghost felt Bird was in danger and he turned to bite Yang Wanshan.   “White Face, stop! Don’t hurt him!”   He used the skill of All Sounds End again, to allow everyone in the University to hear him. But after another thunder attack, he was not able to stand up. The Ghost Jiang Chen turned into a black fog and ran around him. A pair of dark-blue lights were staring at Bird. Though he couldn’t speak, Bird understood that he and the ghost had a strong connection and they could feel each other’s situation on a higher level after they combined together.   “Thanks, White Face!”   The mechanism of the University was complex. With Bird’s ability alone, he couldn’t fix it. Saving the audience with the help of the ghost was the bigger thing he could do. He asked the students to call the scholars and doctors to fix it. When the mechanism returned safely, all the people relaxed and cheered up, forgetting what Bird had done for them.   “Get a hold of this Ghost-Power Master, and send him to the underground prison. He has broken into the University and made turbulence, which led to the mechanism’s malfunction,” claimed a man with a yellow and a blue line on his collar. This man was called Liu Hongzhi—a professor of Mindology.   “Wait a minute! We should check if this event was really led by this Ghost-Power Master. Professor Liu, you better take him to the hearing room. Let’s discuss this issue when Brother Qing Ming completes his cultivation of this stage,” Yu Xinyuan, another professor of the same major, advised.   “As you have already seen, the destroying power of the Ghost-Power Master is incredibly huge; how could a hearing room lock him? We should put him into the prison while he’s badly hurt,” Liu insisted. “How funny!” Bird was fatally wounded by the thunder, though with the ghost’s fog protecting him, he was only able to heal the wounds, but unable to repair the spiritual fire powers. “I have never thought the teachers and students are the same. So this is the famous Xiaoxiang City Grand University! Why should I come to you?” He lifted up his head with difficulty, and faced the audience head-on.   “The Grand University is not some place you can come or go by your own will. Someone come take him to the prison.” Professor Liu was irritated by him and stepped forward to take hold of him himself.   Bird’s eyebrows were twisted, and his eyes half-open. He had never been afraid of anyone, even the monsters. How could he be fearful of this Mind Master? The professor didn’t start a cover; instead, he forced a strong spiritual fire on his hands, his killing intention obvious.   Seeing the similar gesture of attack from the teacher, Bird laughed. All of a sudden, a blue and white light defended Bird. A strong man in gray clothes covered Bird behind him. “Professor Liu, you are less powerful compared to his mind knowledge.” This man was the one who had followed Bird the whole way.   “Huo Yuan, the Grand University was disturbed by him to such an extent, and yet you, as the Grand Doctor of the University, don’t save and heal the wounded, but instead, you are still speaking for the murderer? What’s your intention?” “I said, you can’t defeat him. Not only you, but the whole University—we together—can’t defeat him. Do you understand me?” Huo Yuan didn’t want to explain more. “Doctor Huo, how could such a little boy be compared to our University?” “Because he is the student of Que Hun. Doctor Huo, thanks for your enlightenment. I will bring my brother Wanshan to the hospital. I will come to accept my punishment later.”   Huo Yuan took up Bird Three to leave the University. In the Mantang Inn, Que Siyu was already waiting there, plagued with worry.
