Le Festin de Vampire Vol 2 Chapter 28

On the second day of the qualifying tournament compet.i.tion. Alysia, together with Claire checked out their equipement (clothes) in the dormitory.

This is the second day. Alysia joined the fourth group, that is qualifying the second day. The day before, the first and second groups have already been completed. Out of 32 people 16 finalists are already determined.

闘技大会予選の当日二日目。アレイシアは寮室で、クレアと共に装備の確認を行っていた。
　何故二日目なのかというと、アレイシアは第四チーム、つまり予選二日目の部に入ったからである。前日既に、第一チームと第二チームは終了しており、決勝進出の三十二人中十六人は既に決定しているのであった。

Fian and Sheriana aren’t here, they will have to get a spectator’s seat in the arena. To see Alysia, they took the front row seats.

Alysia placed the Grimoire that was in her hands on the desk and checked her appearance in a mirror. Her clothes before going to the Imperial City were a scarlet dress she purchased in the school district. A belt around her waist and a sheathe fixed to her left side.

手に持った魔導書を机の上に置いたアレイシアは、鏡に映った己の姿を上から下まで細かく見て行く。
　彼女の服装は王都に行く前、学園街で購入した緋色の服に、対魔法の魔法陣を裏に描いた物であった。腰にはベルトが巻かれ、左側には鞘が固定されている。

[……Okay, the preparations are done]

「……よし、これで準備は大丈夫」

[Good Luck!]

[Of course. I’ve gone to so much trouble to partic.i.p.ate!]

「勿論よ。折角出場するからには……ね！」

Alysia said so, then she wrote in her Grimoire, and walked to the door. She left after being hurried by Claire.

Alysia and Clarie left the dorm, we had come to the largest of 4 arenas.

　寮を出たアレイシアとクレアは、四つの闘技場の中で最も大きい第四闘技場の前まで来ていた。
　周りを見れば、人、人、人、ついでに獣人、エルフに小人まで。ありとあらゆる国からの、ありとあらゆる種族がこの学園に集まっていた。その中には学園に通う生徒の親などもいると思われるが、娯楽を求めてやって来た者も多くいる事だろう。

[Aria, for now let’s look for Sheria-san and Fian.]

[Well. The tournament has yet to begin……]

「そうね。まだ始まるまで二刻も……」

[Aria-Chan!!]

[……huh?]

「……え？」

Alysia had hear this voice somewhere before, a nostalgic voice, Alysia was facing that direction instantly. She had certainly heard that voice before, it was Alysia’s mother, Nadia.

Alysia took a final look, and then clung to Nadia.

どこかで聞いたことのある、そして懐かしい様な声に、アレイシアは咄嗟にその方向を向いた。そこに居たのは確かに、アレイシアの母であるナディアだった。
　そこでアレイシアはつい、ナディアに思いっきり抱きついてしまう。

[……Mother……!!]

「……母様……っ！！」

[Oh? Until now there was no reason to come to school……]

「あら？　学園に行くまではこんな事無かったのに……」

Even though Nadia doesn’t know, it has been over a hundred years for Alysia. For this reason, to cry out wasn’t strange. In fact, even with Fian and the others, she had cried when united after 90 years.

[Ah, that……Aria’s?]

「あ、あの……アリアさん？」

[Ah……I wonder if I have shown a strange scene?]

「あ……変な所を見せてしまったかしら？」

With the appearance of Alysia’s mother and the excitement of their reunion, Claire was confused. With that Alysia separated from her mother immediatley.

「口調はちょっと訳ありで。……それよりも、何で私の愛称がアリアだって知っているの？」

———こちらを向いて……？　いつから……まさか私が母様に……ッ！！

The two expressions she saw convinced her of her behaviour from earlier. I was seen attached to Nadia.

Alysia was red with embarressment. I teleported behind the two people.

[Yeah, that’s right! We didn’t just watch Aria cling to her mom……!!]

「そう、そうよ！　アリアがママに抱き付いた所なんて見ていな……！！」

The moment Sheriana said that she regreted doing so. Fian at the same time, was prepared to have her blood sucking to the point of anemia. Essentially, they did not know the kind of person Alysia had become.

シェリアナがそう言った瞬間、何て愚かな事を言ってしまったんだと後悔する。フィアンもそれと同時に、貧血じゃ済まない程度に血を吸われる事を覚悟した。……彼女の中で、アレイシアは一体どういう人物になっているのかは分からないが。

As Alysia is, she would’ve gotten mad at the other two if not for Nadia. Because of this Fian and Sheriana were able to avoid punishment.

[For example……? What?]

「え……？　何で？」

[Aria, aren’t you going to do something?]

[It probably won’t mean anything if I do. ……Or, I wonder if I want to do something?]

「したって何の意味ないでしょ。……それとも、何かされたかったのかしら？」

[Nothing, Why?]

「い、いや、そういう訳じゃ……」

After that was said Nadia looked them over……

　そして、その様子を見たナディアはというと……

[Wow, Aria-chan changed in the two months she’s gone to school.]

[……Well, I think that’s a compliment.]

「……ま、褒め言葉だと思っておくわ」

No way, to me it’s been over a hundred years in two months. For this matter, it comes down to whether you look at the timing.

So Alysia showed the sword on the left side of her waist to Nadia.

[This sword, we got new ones like this from the teacher of the swordsmanship departement.]

After Alysia unsheathed the blade Nadia was staring at it. Even for weapons there were no others that had a similar form, whether it’s good or bad can be intuitively understood. Alysia returned the sword to it’s sheathe.

[That weapon is really good. It will definitely help Aria-chan.

Then, Alysia talked to Nadia on the way to the waiting room where the broadcast of players convened. At that time, of course, three people and Nadia, have received oral support and are left alone.

After the opening ceremony Alysia had returned to the waiting room. All around her, men and women of high stature numbered around fifty. There were those who polished a large sword, some who meditated to make it easier to pull off magic, everyone spent time waiting in their own way.

闘技場の中央で開会式らしき物を行った後、アレイシアは待合室へと戻っていた。
　周りにいるのは、アレイシアよりも明らかに身長の高い男女丁度五十名。大剣を磨いている者や、魔力を引き出しやすくするために瞑想をする者など、それぞれが思い思いの方法で待ち時間を過ごしていた。

[Third group, finals were decided in a group of eight people!!]

— Wow A~a~a~a~a! !

———ワアアァァァァ！！

— Pachi Pachipachipachi! !

　———パチパチパチパチ！！

Wind magic broadcasted the cheers, as a break in applause echoed in the arena. The third group is done, the group Alysia is in, the the fourth group is up next.

[The next will be the fourth group. Group 4 players, please come in from the entrance gate!!]

The moment that voice was heard everyone in the waiting room was overflowing and striving to be first.

The fourth group was waiting for the signal to start. Alysia also holding a sword, will now partic.i.p.ate.

『第四チーム、出揃いました！　では…………』

The anounncer held their breathe.

Alysia, among the cheers of the crowd, felt that someone had said so.
