"To the left!"
"Dodge to the right!"
"Duck! Duck!"
"d.a.m.n, if he was just a bit quicker. I was sure he could beat that hunter."
A man was reclining on thin air with his eyes closed, as he shouted out loud. The picture of a gigantic blue planet was hanging in front of him, as he sighed in disappointment. The expression didn't last long though as it soon turned to one of excitement again.
"Ohh, his companion is coming to finish the job. To get revenge!"
He pumped himself up again as he started to commentate, seemingly to himself, gripping his fists in excitement. There was no one else with him as he reclined. He was by himself with only swirls of chaos surrounding him. But that didn't stop his excited commotion.
He continued to scream to himself, watching something only he could see. The picture of the blue planet never changing to show what was happening.
"Oh! WAH!"
He almost sounded like a kid watching his favorite cartoon show. And just as his voice was getting to a new high, he stopped. His excited expression disappeared, as if it was never there, and his ever closed eyes, opened.
"Rhuz!"
He shouted to his left as the figure of a suave gentlemen appeared.
The reclining man scowled at him, as his eyes shot daggers.
"Do you always have to ruin my fun?"
Rhuz gave him a smirk and asked in a teasing manner.
"At a good part?"
"d.a.m.n right I was!"
Rhuz gave a small chuckle and didn't mind his angry tone.
After a few minutes the reclining figure calmed down, shot Rhuz a dirty look, and continued as if nothing happened.
"So?"
"Yes, the preparations are almost done. There are only a few more 'beta players' left. Once they go I can settle everything on my end."
The reclined figure grunted, as a smile couldn't help but touch his lips again.
"Good! Once the players are gone I will settle things on my end. I might change the layout of the world and add some additions."
Rhuz's face turned to one of interest.
"Why change?"
"Because it makes it more entertaining, of course!"
"Yes, that is just like you."
Rhuz shook his head.
"Once the 'beta players' go, I will get some materials together to draw in more players. If…"
Just as Rhuz was talking, the reclined figure bolted up right. A look of seriousness flashed through his eyes and Rhuz stopped speaking. It wasn't every day that a serious expression pa.s.sed along this guy's face.
The figure frowned, making Rhuz even more interested, as the seated figure stared intently at the blue planet. His eyes flickered left and right as if he was looking for something. After a small amount of time Rhuz finally lost his patients and questioned him.
"What it is?"
The seated figure finally turned away from the blue planet, with a frown, and looked at him.
"Something changed."
"Changed? Ohh."
Rhuz wasn't sure what he was talking about for a second, before a serious expression also flashed along his face. It only took him a moment to realize what the seated figure meant.
"You didn't put measures in place?"
The figure showed him a disgruntled face at the question.
"Of course I did! But you know the system. Even if I were to try and prevent it from happening, the system will always balance things out."
*Sigh*
*Sigh*
They both sighed at the same time after his words and stood quietly for a while.
"It's no big deal, it always makes things interesting."
The seated figure finally relaxed and went back to his reclining position.
"Well anyways, give me a bit more time after the 'beta players' leave, and everything will be set up."
Rhuz gave him a look before turning and walking away.
"I'll make sure to show you all the interesting clips, when I put them together."
"Haha, you better!"
These were their final words said, as they parted and everything went back to the way it had been. The reclined figure stared up at the blue planet and slowly closed his eyes.
"Better do my thing."
He spoke to himself as a small microphone appeared in his hand. The swirling chaos around him stopped, as the picture of the blue planet shrunk and 10 more worlds appeared around it. They all had yellow lights that connected to the blue planet and floated around each other.
Suddenly more places on the 10 planets lit up and connected with the blue planet. Once that was done a small ripple went through the blue planet and changed how it looked.
Finishing that just as it looked like everything was done, 50 more planets appeared and circled the original 10. They all also lit up and sent glittering light to the blue planet.
"Let's make this interesting."
He raised the microphone to his lips.
"Let the game begin."
