A strong force suddenly stopped my chest, as it was going to rise, and pushed me back down. My mind finally started to clear up as I was pushed back, the pain that I was feeling instantly vanished as if it wasn't there.

My eyes cleared up and I was staring into a pair of big purple eyes. I blinked my eyes a few more times as I realized it was Ella above me. My body relaxed from its tense state as I looked into the eyes and let my head drop.

I realized that my head was resting on Ella's legs. Shifting my eyes to look down I could see the bloodied tatters of my gear. Nothing had been spared from being dirtied with blood and the rips made it look like a jumble of cloths put together.

Looking at my clear skin that was peeking through the gaps, I could see I was back to normal. The last thing I remembered was being eaten by Ella and chunks of my arm and legs being taken. It seemed that regeneration had once again saved me.

I finally looked back up at Ella as she showed me a very sweet smile. She looked different after her Evolution. Her skin glowed healthily as her silver hair sparkled. Her eyes that had been a red color were now a deep purple and gave out an ethereal glow. It calmed me to look into them.

As I was starting to relax and calm down, a sound rang out.

'Father.'

A look of shock went through my face as Ella hadn't opened her mouth, the noise I just heard came from my mind.

'I'm glad you are fine.'

Her feelings of happiness rolled out as the voice continued to go on. It was a bit unnerving to hear the voice in my mind. I really wanted her to talk like normal. Ella nodded at my thought. And I realized she must have just read my mind, literally.

"I saved this for you Father."

While my mind was reeling she held out a deep golden globe and pushed it towards me. I gave out a wiry smile as I accepted it. I couldn't be bothered to even look at it before I crushed the globe. I had never gotten something bad after opening one of these. I had different things on my mind.

They however where blown away as a purple glow shimmered out from the globe and blinded me. I raised my now healed arm and covered my eyes. Another look of shock surfaced on my face as I stared down at the pile of items now in front of me, while a message popped up.

I smiled as I looked down and appraised the necklace in front of me.

My jaw hung slack as I stared at the information. It was a Purple! A real deal purple piece of equipment! These are super high tear equipment. It even gave me points in SPR and LUK, I was sure SPR would pop up after a while, but LUK was completely unexpected.

This is a game changing piece of gear; well not as game breaking as Ella, but this is good. I held the piece of gear in my hands as I stared at the last part. I sighed lightly but wasn't too disappointed; only females could use it. But after thinking about it I would have given it to Ella anyways, she was the main attacking force at this point.

I handed it over to her and she gave me a dazzling smile, she really liked it for some reason.

After equipping it I decide to use a.n.a.lyze on her, there were a lot of messages I got just before I lost conciseness and I needed to figure all of this out.

Looking at her status I saw that Ella had leveled. Her exp was flat 0 at the start of level 8, which was weird. Not giving it much thought I looked down her stats before being overwhelmed by how much it had changed.

I quickly put her free attribute points into her INT and SPR before tweaking the box a bit so I could see all the descriptions, there was so much information, nearly everything had changed.

It was too much, it was just too much. She was b.l.o.o.d.y broken. Her stats had risen in the hours since I had last seen them. She was pushing 40 and easily outstripped me. The new skill, such as sovereign const.i.tution, was overpowered as h.e.l.l and would make it that I never had to put points into her physical stats.

At least her regeneration skill was level 5, it might just have been what saved me. Imperial growth and infect were stronger versions of what they had evolved from. What does it mean everything she eats turns into growth?!

And that wasn't to mention her new found control of infect. It would mean if Ella ever started to seriously infect other life forms she would be able to control them. She could make an arm in no time with that.

Imprint had leveled up to level 6 and brought with it a whole new set of abilities. The fact that Ella could now here my thoughts and I could hear hers was because of this. And Shared Exp meant that all kills that happened from now on would give us the full Exp not half.

And the major change from a Ruler Cla.s.s, to Empress Cla.s.s was the most surprising. Looking at her new skill Empress, I read it carefully and saw the difference from before. I couldn't tell much from a glimpse but she could affect others. Not just her species, aka zombies, she could even affect humans now.

I felt very tired after looking through her status; it just came over me in a split second. I really wanted to rest right now; I don't think I'll leave the hospital today.

My eyes finally locked on to the frozen rage skill, this was something from me. It seems my cold rage had evolved while I was out. It was a better skill now, but was reverted back to level 1. I had been feeling a cold sensation in my heart since I woke up, I chalked it up to the wind hitting my body, but it seemed to be this.

The skill would make me sharper at all times, it wasn't a bad thing but it made me worry. If I ever get this skill to level 10, how cold and emotionless will I be?

I let out a cold breath before bringing up my own status. I was slightly afraid with what I was going to see.

I looked at it for a second before also putting my spare points into SPR and INT, I think I was becoming more like Ella these days.

There were slight differences in the skills but they were mostly the same. Infection resistance was what I was most excited about ,as I saw I was now 95% certain not to be infected. The likely hood of meeting another Empress or higher cla.s.s infected in the future was low, I think Ella was special.

I also received Sovereign Const.i.tution and realized I wouldn't need to put my points in to my physical stats. I was happy as I looked at my attribute points and realized I could finally use the skill Ice, I would do that later.

For now I had a question for Ella.

"Where did the extra attribute points come from?"

I spoke out loud instead of in my mind; I don't think I'll get used to that. I put on a stern expression as I finally pulled myself up and stared at Ella. She didn't stop me this time and instead had a troubled look on her face.

I continued my stern look, as I brokered for no lies. Ella saw my gaze before speaking in a small voice.

"I had to feed you while you were hurt."

She looked guilty when she said it and looked down. Her words sunk in after a few seconds and I realized what she meant. I must have been pretty hurt for her to have to feed me to keep me alive.

I surprisingly didn't feel disgusted at this thought and instead patted her on the head. She looked at me surprised before she became gleeful and laughed lightly.

I turned from her before looking out the door, it was getting dark outside. I would have been out for a few hours; I couldn't blame her for trying to save me.

I would have to spend another night in the hospital before I ventured forth.

Patting her on the head for a few more minutes I then looked back at the ground, I had dropped one of the prizes that I got from the globe.

It was a small marble that was gold in color. It was almost the exact same as a normal globe but smaller, and it gave of a small amount of warmth.

Turning around and making my way back into the hospital, I looked at the place where Zoey's body had been, nothing was left except a smidgen or two of blood. I remembered how reluctant Ella had been about fighting Zoey. She had even called her sister.

I remembered my own family and felt slightly guilty for what had transpired. Maybe they were family. I spoke in a gentle voice while gesturing over.

"I'm sorry about your sister."

My voice was very quiet when I said the word sister. Ella grabbed on to my gesturing hand and held it tightly, before looking up.

"Don't worry Father."

I wanted to but in and say something, but she motioned for me to stop and then continue walking.

She didn't even give it a second glance as we walked back.

"It's ok."

She gave off a dignified expression.

"She was only a meal in the end!"
