At first, Long Tian was considered as the King's apple of the eye. This was because his mother was from a cultivation clan at one of the greatest sects in their vicinity. In fact, it was only due to this that the king even married Long Tian's mother. He thought it might get him some support from the sect. Atleast his kids with Concubine Lin can get into the sect.
Concubine Lin was eldest daughter with a young brother and youngest sister. Concubine Lin was once a genious but her beauty was her bane as she offended son of a mighty cultivator. Concubine Lin's cultivation was sealed. She wont be able to breakthrough no matter what. Her cultivation was'nt crippled to let her live a long regrettable life. She was expelled from the clan but her clan felt guilty for her and her on her mothers insistance. They married her to a mortal kingdom. In the eyes of these sect mortal kindoms are nothing but a inferior exsistance. But even that was frowned upon by that young master So, to attone for their sins her sister was given to him as Concubine.

Once kingdom was in trouble and asked for help. But Long Tian's uncle who was jelous of his elder sister. Who always stoped him from having fun and keep him in line intercepted the envoy. He loved his younger sister dearly. So, he denied the help and told them she has nothing to do with the sect anymore. As the king found out he completely gave up on them. Even start ignoring them because of his dissappointment.
Soon fewer people started caring about Long Tian, and more people started bullying him to take everything away from him. All those who behaved as his friends turned into strangers in the blink of an eye. Facing such conditions Long Tian could only go through life while changing who he was and understanding how cruel life was.
This was when Long Tian understood the importance of strength, and felt a craving to grow stronger regardless of what he had to do. However, due to how bad his talent was he was given almost no resources to cultivate at all. It was thanks to concubine Lins savings that Long Tian had ever entered the Body Tempering Realm, much less go as far as he did.
Since he couldn't do anything and had no one to support him, Long Tian made a decision to just lay low. However, this didn't mean that the others would forget about him. Clenching his fingers hard as he once again remembered his past, Long Tian vowed one more time to never be in the same situation ever again. And he'd do whatever it takes to grow strong enough to live as he wanted.
Cultivation was what differentiated ordinary individuals from G.o.ds who could destroy mountains by snapping their fingers. It is also cultivation which allows mortals like humans that have only a hundred years of lifespan to live many times longer. Those in the Mortal Realm were all capable of cultivating their Lower Dantian with Qi. But how far they could cultivate depended completely on their talent, and the resources they had.

Looking at the thin and pale Ling Tian, Concubine Lin exhaled deeply and felt exceptional sorrow. Ling Tian often get sick ever since he was born. Being raised in a royal family with the best doctors and medication did not help him much. He was 10 years old now, but still needed to rest in bed when ever his illness flared. This was why he was allowed to stay with his mother in harem palace.
All of a sudden, there was a great sound of footsteps outside the palace.
"What are you guys doing here? Who authorized you to come and mess around the Jade Palace?" said a good-looking maidservant who wanted to stop the Eighth Prince from breaking into the palace. Yet she was being pushed, and she fell 10 meters away.
The Eighth Prince was a warrior who cultivated himself to reach the Advanced Stage of the qi condensation Realm. He could probably knock a 300 pound stone tray 10 feet with nothing but his fist, never mind a maidservant who only weighed 100 pounds. She plummeted to the ground and, breaking her left arm, let out a wild scream.
The Eighth Prince was wearing a Golden-Thread dress, covered with a jade belt resting on his waist. He was muscular and strong, making every footstep steady as he walked into the Jade Palace. He stared at the court maid and said, "You're blocking my way, slave? You don't deserve to be in my presence!"
Behind the Eighth Prince, there were six royal guards . They were all martial arts monks that excelled at their craft and were part of the royal security guards.
Concubine Lin noticed the noise outside. She comforted Ling Tian, closed the door, and proceeded to the main hall. With a slight scowl on her face, she stood in front of the Eighth Prince, who was now inside the palace, and said, "This is the Jade Palace. Even though you are a prince, you still can't break in here."
Eighth Prince Zhang Ji lifted his head and stared at Concubine Lin. "The queen commands that the place of Concubine Lin and my ninth brother will now move to Ziyi Side Hall. From now on, the Jade Palace will belong to my biological mother, Concubine Xiao," said the Eighth Prince. Concubine Lin appeared slightly unsettled. She had already antic.i.p.ated that this day would come but did not expect it to arrive so soon. Concubine Lin smiled sadly and said, "The queen demands us to leave the Jade Palace. Fine, I will move to the side hall tomorrow!"
"I'm sorry, Concubine Lin, but my mother wants to move to the Jade Palace tonight. Please leave here right away!" the Eighth Prince responded.
"You know that Tian is sick today, and it is getting late and colder outside now.
The Eighth Prince sneered and exclaimed. "Concubine Lin, there are so many sick people in this world . If my ninth brother is that weak, then what is the point of him staying alive?"
"He is your brother!" Concubine Lin yelled at the Eighth Prince. Her aura soared ejecting guards and princes from the door. They suddenly remembered she was from a cultivation clan. Concubine Lin was about to say something, but suddenly the door behind her opened up.
It was Ling Tian. Though he was weak and could barely stand, while leaning on the door, he stared at the Eighth Prince and said, "I am fine, we shall leave now!" Ling Tian looked sick, but his strong determination never wavered.
"Long-er, why did you leave your bed? It's freezing outside! Go back to your room and stay warm!" Concubine Lin was worried at the thought of Ling Tian getting ill, so she immediately helped him back to his room. Ling Tian shook his head firmly and said, "Mom, we don't need to beg anyone. One day, we'll be back here. We will be back in Jade Palace!" . Concubine Lin was touched by Ling Tian's determination. She nodded her head with tears in her eyes.
Concubine Lin held him and left the Jade Palace. Everyone in the place noticed that Concubine Lin and the Ninth Prince had completely lost their power. There was barely any chance of them reclaiming back their power in the Kingdom.
After being kicked out by the Eighth Prince, Concubine Lin and Ling Tian had been relocated to Ziyi Side Hall. It was usual for the queens who had lost their power. It was quiet, far from the palace, and felt like it had been empty for a long time.
