8 hours later Naomi awoke to Pepper nudging her. Naomi slowly opened her eyes, sat up, and said "good morning Pepper, I see your leg is feeling a little bit better." Naomi stood up and looked at the sky. She said "dawn again, we better get going Pepper. We need all the hours we can get." They began walking until Naomi saw tracks of a carriage grooved into the forest floor. She said "there Pepper, those tracks." They walked over to the carriage tracks and Naomi crouched down to them. She looked at them, saw a folded drawing, picked it up, unfolded it, and said "its my drawing, its my drawing to Jax." She put the drawing into her pocket and said "come on Pepper, these are the right tracks and we've got to follow them."

They walked for half an hour following the tracks until they heard coughing. Eha, Eha, hack, hack, they heard. Naomi stood in her tracks looking around but saw no one. Naomi began walking again until she heard coughing again. Naomi and Pepper stopped waking and Naomi yelled "who's there?" A raspy, withering voice yelled "help me, please help me." Naomi looked around, still did see anything, and yelled "where are you?" The same raspy voice yelled "help me, someone help." Naomi looked to the ground, saw foot prints, and she and Pepper followed them to a big tree. There they saw Alex leaned up against the tree holding his side, his hand stained in blood. Naomi ran over to Alex as Pepper followed her. Naomi kneeled down to Alex's level and cried "Alex what happened to you." He looked at Naomi with widened eyes and said "Naomi please run, he's here." Naomi cried "who's here Alex? Who's here?" Alex mumbled "run Naomi, get away from here!" Naomi said "no I'm not leaving you here to die." He touched Naomi's face and said "Jax misses you Naomi, you must get to safety! You have to get out of here." A voice said "your highness, your here." She turned around to see Logan standing there, Naomi said "Logan, you have to help Alex! He's hurt." Logan said "no Naomi stay away from Alex, he's nothing more then a traitor! He told Hayes where you would be! He's been trying to kill you and even worse he attacked Jax. I had to stop him." Naomi looked at Alex and Alex cried "its a lie Naomi!" Logan said "come with me Princess I must keep you safe!" Alex said "please Naomi run!" Naomi looked at Alex as tears ran down her cheeks and she said "traitor! You put my life in danger you are in treason! How could you betray my parents when they love you so much." She walked up Alex and shouted "you are a pathetic excuse for a human being and I don't even want to see you again." She walked over to Logan, held his hand, and said "you know how I knew you were lying... its really so simple so obvious. She shocked Logan throughout his body, he dropped to his knees and hands (letting Naomi's hand go before he dropped), and Naomi said "its just that simple Logan! Your the traitor and the liar! You tried to kill me, the only thing is not only did I not die but I've gotten better at using my powers." Sparks appeared in her hands and she said "Pepper go to Alex I have to take care of this." Pepper ran to Alex, Naomi looked at Logan, and said "now where is Jax and the others?" Logan stumbled to his feet, laughed, and said "which others you mean The Gave, ha ha you must be talking about The Gave because only Liam is alive in our group, Eric died in battle hehehe he was really weak sort of like you." She put her hand out, shocked Logan, he dropped to his knees, and she said "your saying that to the girl with powers?" Logan chuckled and said "Jax would be proud of you if he was alive." Naomi put both her hands out and sent a powerful shock that blasted Logan into a tree. She said "your trying to make me angry and its getting you hurt! I suggest you give me that location!" Logan chuckled and Naomi shocked him again shouting "give me that location!" He spit on the ground and said "fine, just follow the carriage tracks and you'll be there." She shocked Logan again and he slowly shut his eyes. The sparks from her hand went away and she walked back over to Alex and Pepper. Naomi said "we've all got to get out of here." Alex mumbled "where is Logan?" Naomi said "I knocked him out but I don't know how long he'll be knocked out." Alex looked over Naomi's shoulder, saw a dagger flying at her, pushed her out of the way making her fall to the ground. She looked at Alex to see the dagger had hit him in the torso and ran over to him. She screamed "Alex," BAM, Logan hit Naomi over the head knocking her out." Logan said "your weak Naomi! Extremely weak." Alex mumbled "Logan don't hurt her," and Logan said "you really are a horrible guard." Logan grabbed Pepper by her neck, walked over to a deep ditch while Pepper was trying to fight, and threw her in it. He walked back over to Alex and Naomi while Alex mumbled "Logan please," Alex shut his eyes and pasted away. Logan laughed, picked up Naomi, walked over to the ditch, and threw her in. He left laughing saying " no more Alex and no more Naomi! I work best with The Gave."
